  1. An update. It has now been 4 weeks and celebrity has not reached out to me around the promised refund and I have been advised they will only deal with my travel agent that has been given the same run around. I understand that they are a business but have now find there behaviour quite unethical even tho I did my best to make the experience a positive one. Don't make promises you can't keep and they need to better educate their staff on protocols and how to deal with customers In my case I caught covid from an undetected case of a celebrity staff member.
  2. Having spent 8 days in quarantine I can emphasise. Be glad for a full window and fresh air. Agree the room service food was luke warm at best Good luck with your quarantine. I found that in these instances you need to remember to advocate for yourself.
  3. Thanks for this. I am on the cruise after yours so look forward to seeing your experience.
  4. Shore excursions were reimbursed as ship credit and then sent back to my credit card at the end of the cruise. Pro rata refund that they promise...less so...no words now almost 2 weeks later
  5. Sorry to hear that, I hope they got off OK. I was told I had the option to stay onboard or leave..I chose to leave after 8 days in isolation and taking my own (pre bought) test as negative as the ship was not going to test again just make me stay the full 10 days in isolation and then dump me somewhere. Even then I had to ring front desk and remind them I was leaving as I had to be separately disembarked, literally the last one off the ship. We're your parents given any details about refunds or any post cruise contacts. I was told shore side services would be in touch and crickets.. like not a word and my travel agent followed up and they were just told to wait for a response.
  6. Definitely nothing like my experience 2 weeks ago on Constellation. small room on deck 2, food in cardboard boxes, pretty much always turning up cold. Was told I would get a pro rata refund and shore services would be in contact to give me details and medical clearance letter. Nothing...crickets
  7. Hi All I wanted to share my experience so far. I am on the Constellation and on my 4th full day of isolation. On Day 7 I was identified as a close contact of a covid case and was initially tested and negative. I would have had to have been tested for the next 5 days. That night i developed a dry cough and that morning tested Covid positive. I was then moved to Level 2 room with an ocean view for what it's worth. I have not seen a person since then other than the daily nurse visit in full PPE (understandably), and only the regular calls from room service for my food orders and check in from the front desk. I was in Aqua class and still have access to the Blu menu and drinks. The food comes in throw away boxes and pretty much has the texture and taste of cardboard. My taste buds are ok my symptoms have been limited and seemed to be only sneezing..tho am half certain now that I was sneezing due to the flowers on the room, as it stopped when I threw them out lol. Finally have some ability to stream after being at sea. Have been told there will be some refund or FCC but the amount seems small given pretty much 1/2 the trip is spent in a box. I was travelling alone so while used to being on my own having no real conversations a day is hard They do try and look after your basic needs but not much thought is given to the mental aspect. There is a huge amount of work that can be done in this area. I have made a routine for the day which includes making my bed, cleaning the room, some sort of movement to try differentiate the day from night. Even got dressed up to simulate formal night. Even tho this is the opposite to how I wanted to spend my time I would still cruise again... life is too short for what ifs.
