  1. I am happy too. Pepsi zero is the only soda I drink.
  2. We had to request the divider be closed when it literally blocked one of the doors. The only way out onto the balcony would have been to enter the other room and go out. This was on Freedom.
  3. I agree with the unreliability. We always get it because it's better than nothing. There is four of us and we don't buy an internet package so it's the only method of (sometimes) contact. I think it's worth the money as long as you manage expectations of what it can do.
  4. It is not allowed, with or without a prescription. From Carnivals' Website: Drug Free Zones Carnival recognizes that some states in the U.S. have fully legalized the use of recreational and/or medical marijuana. However, cruise lines are required to follow U.S. federal law, which strictly prohibits possession and use of marijuana and other illegal, controlled substances. Since all cruise terminals in the U.S. are federal facilities, the terminals and our ships are drug-free zones. Law enforcement and federal agents are present at all terminal facilities to conduct screening measures and random searches may be implemented. All bags may be subject to drug screening, including at foreign ports of call where authorities are often present enforcing local laws. Any guest found to be in possession of illegal drugs will be denied boarding and no refunds or compensation will be issued. Additionally, guests may be subject to other actions as determined by the authorities.
  5. Gatorade comes in stick packs, around $2.50 for ten. Super light and much easier to carry than a bunch of prefilled bottles. I have found them at Walmart before.
  6. It looks like an island to me unless I don't understand what you're saying here.
  7. Yes, it's one of the sauces they offer and it's delicious. I always order this with my filet. It's on the menu, no need to call ahead.
  8. All my future bookings have disappeared, very likely a website issue.
  9. I have put it in a checked bag in the past, typically one with our shoes and other random things. Probably from now on I'll put it in my carry on because the last cruise my extension cord was confiscated and I feel like having any bag with a cord/plug could potentially be searched. Not only was my suitcase super late because it was searched, I had to wait in line for a long time on the last morning to get it back. From now on anything like that will go in a carry on bag.
  10. There is a place in the hub app where you can state your preference of sitting with other guests or your party only.
  11. I was able to do this on my last cruise. I bought $100 of cruise cash. I had never applied cruise cash before so I split it over two cabins. Instead of charging me $100 carnival charged me $50 x 2. Because the deal stated it needed to be a $100 purchase it took a few phone calls before I finally got the credit.
  12. I have a photo from this exact vantage point. The carpet update was a definite improvement.
  13. Ecstasy was my family's first cruise. This brings back such fond memories of cramming the whole family into one cabin. I went back last night and looked at some of the photos I took of that time. I was not a prolific photo taker like I am now, but really enjoyed the trip down memory lane and am enjoying your trip report too. Thanks!
  14. Our first few cruises we did FTTF. The first time it wasn't available we got the earliest boarding time and stuck with that until our last two cruises. On the Freedom last November my husband picked the boarding time of 12:00 - 12:30 and we literally walked on. Not one time in the process of leaving our car and going through the terminal and onto the ship (outside of checking in) did we wait in line. On the Liberty in March I picked the boarding time and I like to be early so I chose 9:30 - 10:00. I went back later and changed it to 10:30 - 11:00 because I was outnumbered by people that didn't want to arrive that early. 😁 Nevertheless, when we arrived nobody had boarded yet. Had we arrived an hour earlier, we would have been waiting for that hour. We had to wait in multiple lines during every part of the check in process and were seated for about 20 minutes before we were then able to get in line to board the ship. With all that being said, I'm a convert to a bit later of a boarding time. While it's so exciting to start vacation early, those first couple of hours when nobody is in their cabin and everyone is slogging around their carry on bags and the lines for food are forever long make me realize I'm okay arriving a bit later.
  15. I don't use any of the provided toiletries even though it would be easier not to have to bring my own. Maybe I'm just fussy, but I absolutely hate the bar soap. It leaves my hands feeling like they are coated in a greasy film. I realize it's extra, but I bought some travel size foaming soap dispensers a few years ago and take those to wash my hands.
  16. Not all ships print all the photos. My last two cruises were Freedom and Liberty and we did have the giant wall of photos, but I'm almost positive that my 2019 cruise on the Breeze was all digital with photos viewed in the hub app.
  17. My last cruise was the first interior I’ve ever been in and honestly I hated the darkness. I’m an early riser so I don’t need alarm clocks but I did buy these night lights which can be set to a high or low setting, have magnets so they can be attached to the wall and have motion detection. They are great for moving around the cabin without waking your partner. We just kept them low near the floor so they didn’t shine in our eyes.
  18. I've never been on a spirit class ship, but you all are making me wish I had. I'm going to have to start looking for more cruises. 😁
  19. It does look like it, but that’s just editing.
