  1. I think you are confused. Maryann doesn't live in Leland, she lives in NJ. I am the one moving to Leland in a few years. And for what it is worth, Wilmington is a very nice city.
  2. Thanks for the wonderful review and safe travels back home to see your kitty!
  3. @LadyZolt Safe travels back home and thanks so much for posting on this thread. Your comments and pictures were top notch! @CSHS1979 Laura, good to see John's face too!
  4. Those are all places I know well! My parents moved to Leland, NC in 2005 and my DH and I are currently building our retirement home there too. I went to the aquarium last Christmas and noticed Ft. Fisher was having some work done to it so hopefully it is completed by now. A fun day for you!
  5. Hi CC friends! It has been a rough 10 days. As some already know from that other site that shall remain nameless, I lost my dear father very unexpectedly on April 18th. He was in good health up to the very end and would have been 88 this August. I returned home today after a week down in North Carolina, where he lived, to help my sister take care of all the "things". My sister moved down there from NJ last summer. While I am still a little bit in shock that he is gone (my mother died in 2014), I am so thankful he was living life to the fullest up to the very end and we were all together the first weekend of April for a fun filled time. My father had moved into a lovely independent living community in the fall of 2022 so he had downsized quite a bit which was very helpful this past week as were emptying his apartment. I also urge everyone to have all their important papers organized in a file for your loved ones, should anything happen unexpectedly as did for us. Even though we knew where all the "stuff" was he still had little post it notes all over his desk of passwords for his computer. πŸ˜ƒ We will be having a Celebration of Life in the summer down in NC for him.
  6. As always a fun time reading your reviews. Appreciate the time you take to keep us informed. Hope your travels home go smoothly.
  7. So glad your experience on the Brightline was good! I thoroughly enjoyed my trip from Orlando to FLL!
  8. Yay Sue! So glad to be following along with your Symphony adventures! Bon Voyage!
  9. @ReneeFLL Happy belated bday from me as well Renee! I would say you celebrated very well! @Luckynana Safe journey home Maryann and Jim! I am so glad you are in time for some fun events with your grands. Spring in Michigan is in full swing and my Daffodils and Pear tree are blooming nicely! It's time for me to test out my hand (trigger finger surgery in Jan) with my golf game. Hoping it is better than last year!πŸ˜†
  10. I took the Brightline from Orlando to FLL this past March and it was awesome! I can't wait until they extend their services directly to Port Canaveral and to Tampa, though that will be a ways down the road. Have a wonderful cruise!
  11. @dani negreanu Dani I follow YouTube bloggers Cruise with Ben and David. Perhaps you have heard of them? They are from the UK and did a very detailed review of the P&O Iona. Specifically they stayed in one of those mini suites you were looking at and hated them. I remember thinking what a stupid placement!
  12. Oh my gosh Helen these pictures are amazing! My DS, who I mentioned earlier has plans to visit Japan, bought the Lego version of Himeji Castle for Christmas! I just him your pictures and he is so excited to see it in person as well! I hope you and Marty are safe and sound after yesterday's earthquake!
