We do tip and watch them put the bags in the baggage cages. I have heard of one person who said their bag was left on the outside curb. They used an Apple Tag to locate it. 😞

They really should. But, that’s normally not the way they handle it. It seems someone just stumbles upon the change online or OB and starts to question it. The webinar is a start to transparency, even though it is for TA’s, it is also open to the public. But, it was not advertised by PCL and we know about it only because of some great CC members who are also TA’s.

What we noticed on RCCL was how expensive the drinks, SD, room service, rides etc. I think overall PCL is still a better value.

IDK. They are charging for RS now. Unless you purchase the App $15 one time fee or you have purchased the drink package that qualifies. Poster just wanted continental breakfast or coffee in the morning and according to the webinar, you can still get it for free using the door tag. I didn’t see it quicker or hotter using the phone before. It still wasn’t hot. 😳

No the Continental breakfast, using the card to hang on your door, the night before is still free. Ask your steward for the cards. You can order just coffee, if you want. If you use the phone it’s a $5 RS delivery fee. Or, if you use the App on your phone or TV, then it’s a one time activation fee $15 to order, whether it’s in your cabin or anywhere on the ship.

You can still get your plain old black coffee in the morning free. Just fill out the RS card for breakfast and hang on the door. Your steward should supply them, if not In your room. The morning continental breakfast is still free, just don’t call RS, use the card instead.

App seems to act crazy within 24 hours of sailing. Sign out of the App and back in. It may correct itself. The website should show correctly. Have fun!

Only if you order on the App. If you go up to a bar or ask a waiter for a soda, then you are not using the App, there should be no charge of $14.99. If you order RS, then yes a $5 charge.

Mahalo for your post. I totally understand what you’re saying, but other cruise lines are increasing their prices for food, room service, drink packages etc. Well, just about everything. We left some of them, due to sky high increases. We have higher status on 2 other lines. Still think PCL is a better value. I don’t see the lines slowing down with their increases in the near future. We just won’t do suites or MS if the prices keep increasing. Balcony is okay for us. JMHO

I don’t understand if you had a free cruise and drinks, why you would complain about paying $15 for a one time fee to use the App, IF you are even charged on your free drink package? The $5 room service fee, IF you are charged on your drink package is still a steal IMO. I think a free cruise and drinks would be great, those new fees would be minor. Maybe I’m missing something. IDK

That really surprises me, that they would charge suites for RS. I haven’t seen that clarified by Princess. SMH
