I don’t understand why you would waste your time calling. That is a possibility you sign up for when booking a guarantee. It is a roll of the dice.

Do you question these things when you go out to eat? Do you ask the kitchen staff if they are getting some of the tip? Do you then try to exclude the kitchen staff cause you don’t like the food? See how ridiculous it all sounds? Tip when you are happy and leave the rest for them to worry about.

This was the opposite of our experience. Those things go pretty fast. We didn’t see a whole lot of cars. We actually accidentally did the loop going the wrong way. It was never a problem. We just pulled over when a vehicle was coming. This was one of my favorite days we have had in port. Our whole group loved it. We went out with 6 people in two 4 seat carts.

I’d call NCL’s offer false advertising. We still paid a few hundred in gratuities and fees. Then we realized we would still need to upgrade to premium plus to get the drinks we would want. Ends up being just as expensive as just buying the deluxe package from Royal.

Once you add it to your cart the total there includes gratuities.

Oasis class vs Navigator of the Seas

It has been several years but the roughest seas that I recall while cruising was doing the Mexican riviera route. -
Anyone done Carnival, how is it?
Denversail replied to welshrich's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I haven’t cruised Carnival in several years. I recall finding them pretty similar unless you are on a party cruise (shorter itinerary/school break). I was curious about them recently and was considering booking one. The daily drink limit makes it a non-starter for me though. -
I don’t understand why so much energy is invested in this topic. You are on vacation. Tip the suggested amount and enjoy yourself. Seems silly to worry about how it is distributed.

What makes or breaks a cruise for you? What do you find most important? Is it food, price, entertainment, ports, ship, service, atmosphere, or demographic? Which cruise lines and ships offer your must haves?

We did a cabana by the water a few years ago. If I were traveling in a group of 6 or more I would consider this. The prices have increased substantially though to the point of ridiculous. If you have the funds it is definitely nice to have. It gives you a main place to hang out and you don’t need to try to find good seats near each other. You also don’t all have to get off the ship together at the same time since you will know where everyone is going. The drink and food service is nice. Guaranteed shade is always a winner. Enjoy!

Testing Positive for Covid Prior to Cruise
Denversail replied to datone's topic in Royal Caribbean International
The current policy isn’t tied to a testing requirement. I can still get a refund currently even if my cruise doesn’t require a negative test to travel. -
Testing Positive for Covid Prior to Cruise

This suggest a provider. I think you’d need actual documentation. I personally wouldn’t risk not having it documented by a medical provider. The policy is about to expire. I think after 4/30 you’ll need travel insurance to have it covered. -
Removing 1 member from a party of 4

If you have no intention of replacing him I would cancel as soon as possible for the maximum refund. -
Indian food is constantly given an A+ in reviews. Why not add it as an up charge restaurant?

What does a Royal Caribbean new cruiser need to know?
Denversail replied to Sigyn's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Just be warned when linking reservations your MDR dining times must match. We are having a grand time sorting this issue out. We knew we would have UDP so didn’t really pay attention to this detail when booking. -
The problem is that these companies are now recruiting workers for jobs with tips. So where is the profit? Capitalism

Booking airfare through NCL - no or go?
Denversail replied to Lucky Dude 2101's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
As a control freak who would never let anyone else book my flights this entire thread makes me cringe. Yikes -
Charged a drink before getting onboard
Denversail replied to OceanZena's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. I certainly don’t want to find out during my vacation. I’m an adult that is perfectly capable of behaving myself. I’m on vacation and have zero interest in tracking my beverage intake.
