We booked on the Fascination at the beginning of the month for the 8/25 cruise with Carnival. The agent assured us the price would not go lower, and if it did to call back and they would work something out. Well, the price did and DH called. Apparently Carnival's agent's word was worthless. The only thing they would do was move us from the HA cabin they had us in (we don't need it and I only discovered it was one through CC). I was thinking a shipboard credit for the difference, but they wouldn't budge. It would be a small gesture but would bring such goodwill. Right now I am not feeling very positive towards Carnival!
They tape record all their calls, surely? I'd call back and ask for a supervisor to check what the agent told you. Then they should offer some OBC.

What is annoying is if I try to book 2 pax, it gives me a price of $109 each for an inside. If I try to book solo, it says no Insides available, only Outsides and up. I am so going off Royal Caribbean with this price manipulation they do lately!

Let's hope it is better organized than their website...

Did you try to ring up RCI and ask?
If your question is to me, yes I called and she told me there was only one Inside available on her screen- when I could see the UK site with lots available. ...:(
-
They must be cancelations or TA that return unsold rooms....
Hawaii this September on Radiance was N/A for the longest time and suddenly lots of rooms available in many categories...
Can't imagine RC would hold them back, they must just be canceled or returns..
Not if the UK site shows them available- they are just trying to sell them at higher UK prices. Then when that doesn't work, they revert to showing them available to the US.

We went there once and wouldn't bother again. The beach was fine, the pool was warm with lots of sand in it.. did not feel safe eating the food.

I was watching prices on Jewel of the Seas, Oct 4 sailing. For the longest time, the US site showed N/A for Inside rooms and Outside rooms, only thing available was Balcony and Suites...... but I could go to the UK site and they showed lots of inside/outside rooms available. I called and asked what was going on and she told me there was only ONE inside room left......( and that was at abnormally high rate) but I could see that wasn't true! I don't know why they are doing this, it's annoying. Now it's getting closer to sailing, the US site shows the available Insides/Outsides again.

You posted this on Monday, the same day your cruise started.
How could you have know what they where going to say to you,
the day before it happened?
Me think you are a troll trying to stir up things.
They sailed on Sun 3rd August....

Good point - she simply ASSUMES they had "excellent behavior" the first 6 days, running free about the ship from day 3 on, because HER little darlings are ALWAYS perfectly behaved.
Sadly, I think the main lesson Junior learned was that when he does something wrong, Mom's reaction will be primarily to "go bananas" on anyone who would DARE to discipline him for his misbehavior.
And I'm willing to bet that her little darlings will continue to roam cruise ships alone in the future, because the fault/blame for this "incident" rests almost completely with ship staff, NOT her angel - and she'll likely be socializing with friends while they roam the ship - again...
I couldn't agree more. She should be writing an apology for the way she
"went bananas" at the poor staff, and count her blessings they were not
disembarked at the next port due to the son's misbehavior and her attitude.

I called RCL @ 7:45 PM today to take advantage of their weekend sales and was put on hold. I was disconnected at 8 PM. When I redialed, was told the office closed at 8 PM on Sunday..
I guess alot of you guys knew this but it was a shock to me. Just venting------------------
Even if they closed, they should have answered you since you were already in the queue..

You will have plenty of time. The airport is right behind the port - less than ten minutes by taxi ($15). There will be dozens of taxis lined up as you exit the ship.

Rumrunners.com - I have been on a lot of cruises and this is a 100% success rate. They even checked our bags on our last cruise and still could not find the booze. Rum Runners are the best just roll them up in a pair of shorts or a shirt and they are not deticitbale through the scanners or even people it seems like... I brought on 2 fifths last cruise all in one suitecase and it worked perfect!! Hope this helps :D
My family just took them on Liberty on the 7/19 sailing. They were busted!

You can also look at the weekly sales here-

this one still shows a couple of August sailings, but it looks like that promotion is almost over...

Something is way out of whack- I have been looking at Jewel in October, prices for insides start at $920 +. They have NEVER been that price before!
If I look at August however, prices start at $549. Those prices should be reversed. Generally they are in the 600's....

Yes, a Mojito on Allure. I was spitting out bits of mint for ages after and it tasted foul...

For future reference check what you want to book on this site http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ you should find fares equal or lower than choice air.
I looked at prices but it says you cannot book on this site.....

I wonder if it's accurate? Yesterday I was looking at one of the cruises and the single rate was only 15000 %...

We did the St John's river airboat tour, on the way back from Port Canaveral.
We booked it from RCCL and after the tour was over we had a very rustic lunch, then they delivered us back to the airport. The river was full of alligators, and was very exciting. I just kept saying "Yuck" but our boys
thought it was the best part of the whole vacation! :)

Would you mind telling us which cruise, which room category you are referring to? That sounds like an extraordinary price drop...:)
-
AFAIK the Windjammer always closes in the afternoon - at least on every ship I've sailed on...
