Day 3
Did the green grotto caves trip booked through MSC it was interesting, something different. Glad we did as was a rainy day. Didn't appreciate the half hour stop at the touristy shops just before returning to the boat though!
Had a late lunch in the buffet, our first visit. Great pizza!
Had our complimentary black card tasting dinner in the Galaxy. A very nice experience. It was the white night party that night but we gave it a miss as was exhausted, still got the remnants of jet-lag.
On our return to our room we had the spa vouchers waiting for us along with the invite to the black card party which is tonight at 5pm.
On our way now to try to find the distillery in Grand Cayman...

Go onto the MSC website and have a look at the new packages they offer. The weekly ones are really good value. They started in April of this year I think.

Actually it does work as we have used it to send photos to each other's phones but only when we have been together and logged on at the same time. And we have been able to use it to send messages home!

We purchased the surfer package thinking we could stay in contact with each other and the friends we are travelling using Whatsapp. It doesn't work for that as you are only logged on for 30 minutes at a time! In case any one was hoping to do that.

For anyone traveling from the UK the prices for cigarettes and alcohol seems to be much cheaper onboard than on the plane flying over.

The first gala night went well. Lovely food for dinner, small portions but enough. No sun beds to be found during the day but managed to get seats by the garden bar. Prosecco and chocolate dipped strawberries in our room.. A good day!

We have the More for less classic. Which on board is $45 per day. We booked in advance from UK and paid £203 for the week. It seems to be good value.

Day 1 allocated 2pm slot for embarkation and we arrived at port at arrived at exactly that time and we were in cabin at 2.30.
Also for anyone concerned re loyalty match our card was showing we had black status, a small bowl of fruit was in the room also robes and slippers.
The code for prepaid drinks package on card already also code for prepaid Internet - which we didn't realise and had queued at reception to enquire about.
Staff were very friendly and smiley. Easy to catch eye if wanted a drink.
Good selection of wine by the glass included.
Rose was Zinfandel so not an option!
Examples of white was a nice Marlborough Sauvignon. Very nice rose sparkling prosecco though. Dinner was a good 7 out of 10.
Villa rosa very very cold though re the air con!
Staff even vacuuming stairs by elevators at 11pm.
No towel animals in our room but my pj's where artfully arranged on the bed!
Cabin immaculately clean but definite sound of footfall in the morning re being under a restaurant.

We are in 13123 tomorrow. We took Pete's advice and changed from the smaller cabin on deck 12 to that one.

As amazing as that sounds it's a bit out of our price range. Thank you for the suggestion though.

This is what I have told my husband to regard the cruise as! It's also helps that we have a shirt stay in Miami at both ends! Also we have only 2 sea days to worry about.
