    Hello-

We booked Symphony through BJs Travel. As part of our package we are given a Complimentary Specialty Dinner for 2. However we are not allowed to make a reservation until on board and it says some restrictions may apply.  If anyone has rec'd this before, how does it work and what are the restrictions?

    Thanks

Enjoy a complimentary dinner for two in one of our specialty restaurants onboard. All specialty restaurants valid except Izumi Hibachi, Teppanyaki, Chef’s Table, Celebration Table & Empire Supper Club. Venues vary by ship. Gratuities are included. Alcoholic beverages and sodas are not included and are available at an additional cost.

This voucher may not be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash or credited towards other purchases or substitutions. Presentation of this virtual voucher alone will not entitle the possessor to redeem this offer onboard. No cash value. Thanks.  I'll go into the app (where I spend as little time as possible, normally) and see if they are there.  They are still showing up in my "Your Purchases" section online so I suspect they're fine.  Just odd that the entire MTD option has [hopefully, temporarily] disappeared.

You can also check the calendar (left of cart icon) in cruise planner.

On the app main screen select dining. On the Dining screen, select Main dining. On the main dining screen scroll down and select my time dining. On that screen select”reserve now”

You will have to repeat this process for each night since the app only allows you to book one night at a time.

Not available online or via the app for my February Allure TA.  My RCI invoice confirms that I have MTD.

Seems to be YMMV, since I was able to book MTD for Radiance sailings in Sept and Oct 2025.

Possibly because Harmony was not finished when she arrived in Southampton for those first sailings… it was a PR disaster. Wires hanging out everywhere, water flooding through ceilings, workmen drilling at all hours, shows not ready and … glass panel missing from pool deck leaving sheer drop to Central Park below. I was on those first 2 sailings. We got 50% refund for the first cruise and 25% for the second.

Similar situation on Quantum's first revenue sailing (TA from Southampton to Cape Liberty) on Nov 2, 2014.  We got an FCC, but I don't recall the amount.

Didn’t Wonder sail briefly in the USA first before returning to Barcelona?

From Wikipedia: She arrived in North America in February 2022, and commenced her maiden voyage on 4 March 2022 out of Port Everglades.

... the ship sailed 7-night Caribbean cruises through April 2022, before heading to Barcelona, Spain, and Rome for the summer.

I find it hard to believe I got lucky on 7 cruises. It’s far more likely I got double points because I fell under RCI’s current policy.

2021 and 2022 (if booked prior to Sept 2021???) sailings were covered by the double points promo.  If you only got double points, then you didn't get any extra for solo.  Solo would have gotten 4x points (for non-suite) during the promo.

Still not as good as the deal I got on an allure 4-day sailing next month. $516 for a Central Park balcony (as a solo). I got that fare during one of the weeks they had 60% off the second cruiser, and then they emailed a promo code for $100 off a short sailing. Best deal I've gotten on a cruise so far. I didn't even want to take a cruise that week but the deal was so good I just had to book it 😂.

I have a Boardwalk balcony on Allure for 12 nights solo at $845.  🙂

Thank you.  Leaving Amsterdam and about to go through the locks on our way to Iceland.  No problems anticipated.

Hopefully you have smoother seas than Serenade.  🤞

From the UWC thread:  "Rough night last evening. Had to cancel a lot and slow down. Looks like we are behind schedule.  John lost several beers as his room got tossed around".

Better bubble wrap your beer.  😄

As I've posted many times on this board, I advocate annual insurance with credit card travel insurance as a back-up.

As I don't recall what you've posted in the past, is your annual policy only for medical or also trip cancellation, etc.?  It looks like GeoBlue is only for medical, but other companies include trip cancellation, etc. but of course at a higher cost.

I had GeoBlue included with my employer provided health insurance, but no longer have that since retirement.

I'm leaning toward GeoBlue Trekker Essential or Trekker Choice combined with my Chase Sapphire Preferred travel insurance.

My understanding is that Jewel is the last one and no cruises are scheduled for 2025.

Sorry I should have said Royal has no cruises out of Amsterdam next year.

Your response was actually accurate, based on the quote you were replying to.

By default, the on board booking usually is transferred to the last TA you used so ensure you opt of that when booking.

The last cruise I booked was with a US TA but that cruise is not until April 2025. So will make sure I have the TA details for the cruises in November.

To clarify, it's the TA you used for booking the current sailing (the cruise you're on when booking future cruises at Next Cruise).
