  1. On Refection last month the buffet on the last day of our cruise was ten times better than the rest of the cruise. Seafood in abundance and loads of fancy whole cakes instead of the pre sliced stuff. Call me a cynic but I think this was done on purpose so passengers would give the buffet food a higher rating on the end of cruise questionnaire!
  2. A great answer to what the OP actually wanted information on. NOT!😂
  3. We had this in Murano aboard Reflection last month
  4. I was on Reflection last month and always got real Champagne at the Passport bar. No problem either in Morano on the two occasions we ate there. Strangely, I had to ask for French Champagne to get the real stuff otherwise they would palm you off with what the crew have nicknamed "Chateau de Gangway".
  5. Exactly what I did and threw the lanyard away!. Since the cruise my medallion is used as a ball marker when playing golf
  6. Sorry for your disappointment but I'm with Princess on this one due to the uniqueness of the Sun Princess balconies compared with all it's other ships. There are no standard balconies on Sun Princess so my only option is to book a luxury balcony to get a cabin on another deck. The cove balcony cabins are limited to deck 6.
  7. Had Lobster in Murano two weeks ago aboard Reflection
  8. Fresh squeezed orange juice in the OVC for breakfast. Aboard Reflection two weeks ago I could only get it at the Spa Cafe. How ridiculous!
  9. We switch year on year between Celebrity and Princess. Last week we were aboard Reflection in the Med. Next year I'm looking at Sky Princess to Iceland. For us Princess win on entertainment day and night. I always feel disappointed with the Grand Foyer and Sky lounge as the Atriums on the Princess ships are so much better. Food last week on Celebrity wasn't as good as our Princess cruise the year before which surprised me! But for anyone that hasn't tried either I would strongly recommend both lines.
  10. This is my favourite drink, even if it comes only in cans on the ship. I disembarked Reflection yesterday and getting a proper Peroni became a challenge. They try to palm you off with the red labelled Peroni bottles which are inferior in quality. Hence the reason for the picture so I could prove to bar staff it was on board.
  11. We got home within a record time once we landed at Gatwick. Bags delivered really quickly and we breezed through the Customs E gates. No wait either for a coach to take us to the long stay car park. Thank you @Les43 for allowing me to piggyback on your excellent “Live” thread. As for us we had an excellent cruise despite the heat. Service from all the crew was outstanding. I think this was the first cruise in many when I never needed to visit the guest relations desk.
  12. I hope we get to find out what it was all about. Liking the motion on the ocean too!
  13. We are speeding up. Now 19.1 knots. Are you getting vibrations again where you are @Les43 ? Nothing for us!
  14. Seems we are back on a westerly course again doing 17 knots. Very odd what happened earlier and I agree the ship has been rolling for some hours now.
  15. The side thrusters has just started up and we are spinning around! I wonder if there is a boat near us in need of assistance! Almost a complete stand still now in the middle of the Med
  16. Merano Monday night. Food and service was once again amazing. IMG_7160.mov
  17. There are quite a few restaurants with similar views so don’t feel pressured into thinking this is the one!
  18. It’s called the Character Restaurant and has an Italian menu. We just had a drink there this time as it closed at 3 pm for a break.
  19. I upgraded myself back in November for the Reflection cruise I’m now on. A couple of months ago I decided to upgrade my wife with the excess OBC. I wish I had done both at the same time as the cost was some $40 cheaper way back!
  20. Currently on Reflection and there are 500 under 18’s on board. You wouldn’t believe it wandering around the ship. No kids loitering on the stairs either which I’ve often seen on previous cruises. Whilst we can choose the time of year we go I prefer the summer holidays so there is a varied mix of passengers. My fear would be to have only coffin dodgers on board!
  21. Last night there was a “white night” themed party on the pool deck.
  22. We decided to return to the ship at 4 pm but had we known Enchanted Princess would leave around 6 pm we could have lingered longer so only Reflection passengers would make up the cable car queue. It took about 45 minutes for the line to reach the entrance so no worse than our previous visits. This time though we were joined by a donkey train.
