  1. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the Daily @richwmn. I'll pass on the watermelon, but will definitely celebrate our Coast Guard. I use a spray on gloss Bombshell Blowout but my hair turns frizzy so fast I doubt it is visible. Two great quotes by Mark Twain. I look forward to photos of today's port. I prefer my ribs smoked or oven roasted so will pass on the slow cooker. Pass on the fancy cocktail but would enjoy Josh Merlot with my smoked ribs. BON VOYAGE @ski ww! 🍾🛳️ Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports @JazzyV! Prayers for Annie and Chuck. Annie I hope your hip is much better today and I was glad to read that they are working on balancing Chuck's meds properly. That is a problem when a patient sees many specialists with little coordination. Please take care of the caregiver. Prayers for Tana and Terry, I hope your aide is back soon. Please try not to overdo things. Prayers for Terri, Bonnie, Pat and @mamaofami. Jacqui it sounds like you are making great progress on your progress on your home sale and move. Prayers for all I have missed who are ailing or grieving. Prayers for all in war zones through no fault of their own, Ukraine, the remaining hostages and the Innocents in Gaza. We had a good day in town, today we drove to Marquette. I doubt we will go back though. They have turned the highway through town into a long series of round abouts, they are too small and people drive through them like it is a sport. Nothing like the large, well-planned like the ones in the Villages. One more hot day and then we return to lower humidity and temps in the 70s. Have a lovely Saturday. Nancy
  2. More prayers and hugs for you with Chuck being in the hospital. Yummy looking dinner last night Graham.
  3. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily and maps @richwmn. CAD made life easier. Dinosaurs are cool. Have no idea of Brahman pie. A pretty good quote. Thanks for the photos of Taipei Sandi. I like chimichurri and steak, the cocktail looks like a good one for a hot day and I love Bandol red so rose' should e good too. Thanks for researching these for us each day ladies. Thanks for preparing the cares celebrations reports Vanessa. I hope that your vertigo is better today. Prayers for Chuck and Annie, Tana and Terry, Terri, Bonnie and Jacqui. Prayers for anyone else in our group who are ailing or grieving. Prayers for those in war zones through no fault of their own, Ukraine, the remaining hostages and the Innocents in Gaza. We are heading to town. It is going to be sunny and almost 90 plus high humidity. A good way to do something other than sitting inside. It was cloudy yesterday but no wind and with the lake so clear it is difficult fishing conditions. Have a great Friday! Nancy
  4. @ger sorry working on my phone couldn't delete your blue bubble @ger_77we can dig worms but we do not have nightcrawlers here. We use multi hook rigs for casting. We have fished with bacon and pieces of hot dogs when we were kids. One important thing to note, if you are done fishing and no longer need the crawlers dump them into the lake and not on the ground. Crawlers are non native and will take over and stop the growth of undergrowth. @StLouisCruisers I am sorry for your Flight Ease issue. @RMLincoln I hope all goes well with your DHs eye appointment today. @smitty34877 prayers for rest for you as you are working with no aide right now.
  5. Good morning and thanks for the Daily and maps Rich. My DS is a big time canner and I am sure she has some done already for this season, probably strawberry jam. Thanks for the backstory on Albarino Graham, I have enjoyed some good ones. An opinion quote. Too hot for Taco soup, I think I would try the cocktail but would love a Riesling with dinner (BLTs). I have not been to Arica. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Thanks for the prayers for my DB @StLouisCruisers. Prayers for Chuck and Annie as they battle through challenges each day. Prayers for Tana and Terry. Prayers for @Vict0riann DH. Thinking of you Jacqui as you work so hard to prepare for your lifetime move. Prayers for your DB Sandi and everyone else who are ailing or grieving. Prayers for all in war zones through no fault of their own, Ukraine, the remaining hostages and the Innocents in Gaza. It is supposed to be cloudy today so it should remain somewhat cooler. We are out of bait so if we want to fish in perfect conditions someone will need to drive to the little town to get bait. Have a lovely day! Nancy
  6. Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday. Thanks for the daily and maps Rich. Let's all celebrate mutts. A great quote by Eleanor Roosevelt. When we were in Amsterdam to board the Konigsdam my friend who accompanied me and her Dutch friend and I took a train to Leiden. My friend descended from the Pilgrims and wanted to visit the Pilgrim Museum in Leiden. We made it to the small city of Leiden but never made it to the museum as my elderly friend passed out briefly so we spent seven hours in an ER. It was jet lag and we were able to take the train back to Amsterdam that night. Thanks for the lovely photos of Stornoway Sandi and of the twins and Eliot Rose. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Prayers for you as you continue to battle vertigo. Prayers for Tana and Terry, Chuck and Annie, Jacqui and everyone else who are ailing or grieving. Prayers for the people of Ukraine and those in war zones through no fault of their own. We finally got some rain last evening and it cooled it off a bit. It was 61 when I woke and 68 in the cabin. So far we have dodged the generator run and it looks like a good solar day. It will get into the high 80s again so fishing will definitely be a go for us. Have a lovely day! Nancy
  7. Annie I am sorry that you didn't get more answers for Chuck, other than his worrisome tooth pulled. I pray for you both. I am sure your cats and kittens add some fun to your burdens you both are bearing. 🙏
  8. Good morning everyone. It got down to 62 overnight and running a fan to bring in cool air got us down to 67, better than yesterday when we woke and it was 72 inside. Like all of everyone no break in the heat for a week for us. Thanks for the daily and map Rich. FIL is gone a long time ago. I will celebrate Medicare and my good friends. Thanks for the lovely photos of Funchal. It looks like a wonderful place to visit and I would love to visit a Madeira winery. An aged one is spectacular. I like pineapple so probably would enjoy it grilled. A Kamikaze would be good in the Tamarind bar and would love the Trocken Riesling. Annie I hope Chuck's appointment provides some better treatments. I was surprised you said kiddos are back in school already. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Prayers for Tana and Terry. Prayers for Jacqui as you continue to work on your move and do your paperwork for your new home. Prayers for everyone else who are ailing or grieving. Prayers for those in war zones through no fault of their own, Ukraine, the remaining hostages and the Innocents in Gaza. Today will begin sunny and cloud up as the day goes on. This humid weather makes it difficult for good solar power generation but we have been squeaking by without the generator coming on. A sunny day today will get the batteries back to a higher charge. Perhaps some fishing today. Have a lovely Tuesday. Nancy
  9. My DMIL had one of the chair lifts and it worked very well for her. Her stairs were 4 straight and then a corner and up another six or so. It kept her in her home which she loved.
  10. Good morning everyone and happy Monday. Thanks for the Daily @richwmn. Tigers are cool, I haven't seen one in years, maybe San Diego Zoo in January. I never had a butler but thanks for the fun memories of Mr. French @LambKnuckles. We love chicken wings. I look forward to photos of today's port. Pass on all three comestibles but thanks @summer slope, @cat shepard and @dfish for researching these for us each day. Thanks for the Cares and Celebration reports @JazzyV. Prayers for Tana and Terry and also for Chuck and Annie as they soldier through illness and care giving. Prayers for Jacqui, Terri, Bonnie, Ann and everyone else who are ailing or grieving. We may go fishing today. It doesn't cool off at night so the cabin keeps getting warmer. We have at least a week of 80s and warm nights. A good excuse to sit inside and watch the Olympics. Have a good day! Nancy Walleye caught Saturday turned into Sunday night dinner. My tomatoes are ripening too!
  11. @grapau27 thinking of you and Pauline on her DFs 16th memory day.
  12. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily and maps Rich. I like milk chocolate and it is great it has its' day. Hepatitis is a serious disease and is one of the leading causes of liver cancer. Water parks should be really popular with the current US heat wave. As one who loves a good nap I love today's quote. I look forward to photos of Madagascar. I'll pass on Salmon and Sangria but would try the Chianti, thanks for researching these for us each day. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Prayers for Tana, Terry, Chuck, Annie and Jacqui. Prayers for those in war zones through no fault of their own. We had our first hot night of the season with it not getting below 66 degrees. We cooked the cabin off to 70 overnight after it being 69 degrees all day yesterday until the evening. We were lucky we had a lot of early clouds yesterday which kept it to only 85 but the humidity was in the 70s all day. We fished yesterday and caught a lot of walleye and several bass. I caught one so big it broke my line right by the boat and escaped. John was reeling in a walleye at the same time so he couldn't man the net. I think watching the Olympics will be the order of the day on this hot Sunday. Nancy
  13. Good morning everyone and thank you for the Daily and maps @richwmn. A great group of days and for equal pay for Black women, equal pay for equal work. I think the quote is worth a laugh. Thanks for the photos of today's port Sandi! It looks like an interesting place and I look forward to more. I will pass on the meal, the minty cocktail but would love to try a wine from British Columbia. Thanks for locating these for us each day ladies. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. I hope that your vertigo is improving. Prayers for Tana, Terry, Chuck, Annie, Jacqui and everyone else who are ailing or grieving. Prayers for all in war zones through no fault of their own. We had a nice visit to town yesterday other than my laptop is kaput unless I want to replace the motherboard for the tune of $300 parts and labor. I decided I will get a new laptop when we return home. The guy even tried to read my hard drive on another computer and he couldn't. The movie was meh even John rated it a C. It will be hot here today so we will go fishing. The sunrise was red so that indicates smoke so fishing is low activity. Have a lovely day everyone. Nancy
  14. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the daily and maps Rich! I will celebrate Bagelfest day. I found a great low carb one called Sola, hard to get up here. My last aunt passed away at age 94 about 10 years ago. Thanks for the definition of One Voice day @grapau27. Something to strive for. An okay quote. I would love to visit Tunis sometime. I love grilled steak with chimichurri on BHBs. Pass on the cocktail but another kiwi SB should be a good one. Thanks for researching these for us each day. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Special prayers for Tana and Terry, I pray you both had a better night last night. 🙏 Prayers for Chuck, Annie, Jacqui, Terri and the rest of us who are ailing. Prayers for all in war zones through no fault of their own. Prayers for healing for my DB. We are going to town to pick up a prescription that has caused trouble all summer. I found a computer repair shop in iron Mountain so I will drop my laptop off. There was a Microsoft update done in early July that caused blue screen issues for Windows 10 most but also a problem for some 11 systems. I hope it will be an easy fix. Then we are going to the new Marvel movie Wolverine and_______. John's choice, nice to have something else to do in town especially with the heat. It got down to 50 last night so with the windows open all night we got it to 61. With it shut up when we leave it should be almost 70 in here when we return in the evening. Have a good Friday! Nancy
  15. @0106 thanks for the information on the Chincoteague pony swim and auction. For some reason my Facebook feed posted a video of one of the ponies that are "retained". A beautiful filly was auctioned but will be returned to the island with her mother and herd. She brought $51K. I think all of the proceeds go to the herd and the local fire department.
  16. Good morning and thanks for the daily Rich. When I was hiring for positions I always pulled their (veterans )resumes for more scrutiny and if a near fit I would interview. When I was hiring for an apartment manager after I took over a new job when my DH passed I interviewed another. She was US Navy and was the site manager of Camp David. Korean vets are getting fewer and fewer and deserve to be celebrated. Thanks for the definition of Red Shoe day Graham. A goofy quote. I look forward to photos of today's port. I'll pass on the meal andthe cocktail but would love a bottle of today's wine. We have a bottle of the red up here. Thanks for researching these for us each day. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Prayers for Tana, Terry, Chuck, Annie, Ann, Terry, Bonnie and Jacqui. Prayers for all who are grieving or ailing and for those in war zones through no fault of their own. It blew yesterday so no fishing. My asthma was terrible so I think the north winds blew in smoke. We cut and stacked kindling and I was panting. I putzed in the garden after that. I hope today is better, I'll have to wait for it to warm up it is 46. Have a good one! Nancy
  17. Thank for the kind comments about my DB @StLouisCruisers. Congratulations to you DNs family's cause to celebrate, healthy twins Declan and Clement. Thanks for the daily and maps Rich. We go to the drive through rarely but are grateful for the convenience. Self care in important, at least do the easy one floss daily. I pray for my DC daily, he has the family curse rheumatoid arthritis and on top of that fibromyalgia. Thanks for the lovely photos of today's port Sandi! Sam Levenson was a hoot and a good quote. Pass on the weight loss soup, I think it is based on cabbage ugh. I would love a well made whiskey sour and I'll have to wait on the obscure wine. Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Thanks for adding my DB again, he could use some prayers. Prayers for Tana and Terry and Chuck and Annie, what they share with us is just scratching the surface of their daily trials. Prayers for continued healing for Jacqui and successful progress on selling her home. Thank for the update on your cancer diagnosis Ann I pray for a great treatment path and 100 % remission. Prayers for Terri, all battling COVID and anyone ailing or grieving. Prayers for the hostages return and a cease fire in Gaza. Prayers for Ukraine. I am going to go to town to get bait and bird food for the outside creatures. It is cool now but the hot and humid return for the weekend. Maybe some fishing if it remains cloudy. Have a happy hump day! Nancy
  18. Good morning everyone. We are having sprinkles from the sky, I never knew my grandma when she was young so can't judge if she was gorgeous, it is 57 degrees right now so I can't call if it will be hot enough today. Love the Julia Child quote! Have been to Vancouver but photos to share on my computer that is currently kaput. Pass on all comestibles. Thanks for the daily and researching drinks and recipes each day! Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa. Prayers for Debbie @dfish as you have the ablation today. Special prayers for Terry and Tana and Annie and Chuck as you soldier through each day with positive attitudes. 🙏❤️ Prayers for Jacqui, Terri and those in our group who are ailing or grieving. Prayers for all in war zones through no fault of their own. Great job on the tile work @Nickelpenny and @GTVCRUISER. We have rain for most of the day. I will clean, dust and mop the cabin since when the weather is fair I am always outside. My DB is home but he is an invalid. His knee is still swollen but his surgeon appointment is next month. His son had to drive him to the ER to get catheterized. He has an appointment with a urologist now too. So sad, he was pretty active prior to his knee surgery climbing off and on his Ford tractor.
  19. @kazu I am sorry you are feeling unwell. Rest and take care of yourself. Prayers for your healing. @smitty34877 I am thinking of you today as your DB leaves. I am sure both you and Tana will miss him. @tjcox9 thanks for the port photos. @marshhawk I wish you could get a break. I hope your appointment and Chuck's go well. Thanks for sharing your happy photos and the crisp.
