Please post any response you receive. I also plan to express my disappointment when the cruise ends and we receive the survey looking for comments on how they could make the experience better.
Yes I would also be interested in hearing this. Loved lunch in there on embarkation day.

I have been trying to log in and check my HIA reservation for the last week. Tried the Navigator to book dinner reservations and that won’t work. Had a few cruises with Holland and this is first time this has happened. Last cruise I called them to book spa and also it was difficult to get anywhere. Should ne able to clearly see my booking and my obc. Funny thing is I was able to book excursions and get the credit for that. Guess I will call them and hope for the best. Also I have flight ease and that does not show up. I would like to book another cruise but am frustrated with not being able to access my obc and account. What’s going on?

Even though we have cruised Celebrity in the past, we would not even consider trying their newer ships due to the lack of true balcony cabins.
Same here. I has tge Ascent booked and canceled and went on Rotterdam

Wrong. They are open now for an August cruise. I went in and made reservations and used my credit card. They charged my card instead of using my credits. When I did a chat to find out why thats when I was told I couldn't use my credits for another 2 or 3 months. So i registered my complaint and asked to cancel my dinner reservations charged on my credit cards. I have the emails with my dinner reservation cancelation to prove it.
Reservations are open NOW if you want to pay.
Same with me so I did not book and I have HIA

Thank you for the daily report. Love the photos of Marmaris, looks fascinating. Still snowing here in Ontario south. Apparently my husband said yesterday it was warmer in Ketchikan than here. We are planning our cruise in May and wondering what to bring for clothing. Hope all are well , missing football, Baftavawards on today. Always a good show there and a Oppenheimer is supposed to be the big favourite . Hope Emily Blunt wins, love her

Lenda's photos post #3
we've been there at least 11 times, so we try to find something different each time, while still seeing our favorite places.
We have been to Lisbon at least 11 times. We were there in 2009 on Tatihian Princess and took a tour to Sintra and Cascais, mainly so we could see the rest of Sintra.
These are from Sintra.
We could not tour the palace that day as it was closed, but we saw this model.
A few more pictures from Cascais
I was primarily taking picture of the statue and the tile work, but today I noticed the O'Neill's Irish Pub in the background. I wonder if it is part of the O'Neill's Pubs in Ireland.

I hope everyone is not getting bored with all the pictures of Lisbon and the surrounding areas.
Right now, we're up to 2011, with 2016, 2017, and 2019 yet to come. Going through all the pictures from 11 visits to Lisbon has brought back many wonderful memories. With each visit, I seem to enjoy and like Lisbon more. In this case, familiarity does not breed contempt.
The Prinsendam arrived in the late afternoon on her TA. That night, we just walked off the ship after dinner and walked around the immediate area.
The next day, we took a tour to Batalha and Fatima.
The graves of John 1 and Phillippa
I'm not sure what I expected Fatima to be like, but this modern shrine was not it.
The Basilica de Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Fatima
The three children who saw the visions in 1917 were rebured in the church. I hope I've got the pictures of the graves correctly identified.
The grave of Francisco who died in 1920.
The graves of Jacinta who died in 1919, and Sister Lucia who died in 2005 at the age of 97.

Thanks so much for the lovely photos of Fatima.we were there on the feast and it was amazing.so many people and saw the procession. We were on a transatlantic on Jewel ofThe Seas. We also went to Santiago di Compostela and saw them swing the buttafumiero, must have been another feast. What a trip that was. For those with cardiac issues I have spotted some research on the tomato pill. Cambridge University developed it and here is some interesting research on ir
ts affects in heart disease. I am mentioning this because my sister has these issues.
thanks so much for the maps, photos and dailies.

Good day from sunny Hamilton. The weather continues to be warmer than usual and we had a few flakes of snow but that was it. I always wanted to move to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick ,beautiful there, especially around the bay of Fundy. We went camping there and it was wonderful with fresh lobster cooked in the town which we ate over a campfire. Nova Scotia is just plain gorgeous, used to go to thrift shops and pick up vintage quilts. We went to Springhill, the town where Anne Murray was born and truck drivers would stop to let you cross the street. Hope the weather there improves for those guys.
thanks for the maps, health updates and lovely photos.
Yesterday I saw the ones from Cherbourg andvremebered when we were there ,ordered a platter of mussels in metric and she brought this huge kettle of them, good laugh from everyone in the nbistro. Then they took the bread from our table and placed it at another one. Good idea but shocked us at the time. Loved Cherbourg.

Good day from sunny Hamilton. The windows are open and we are loving this balmy weather. I did not watch the Chiefs win but the Phoenix open was great. Nick Taylor won for Canada. Happy birthday to those on this list and many more. I just signed up for private health care, something I thought I would never do. However needs must. Anyway thanks to everyone for the dailies and maps. Enjoy your day and keep your nose clean as my dad used to say.

This is excellent news! Now I will book regular excursion.
-
Oh that’s great! Thanks so much

Hi thanks Karen.there’s a wait list for tha, guess I waited too long so May just book the regular one and hope fo the best. When we were on a Rotterdam Caribbean I missed two ports because Icoukdnt walk too far so from now on I am going to rent a scooter.

My husband found a video of the train and the steps look doable. This is the first time using a scooter so it should be interesting. Hope I don’t end up in the drink.

Excellent. That might help solve the problem, too. You could ride your scooter to the railway station, head inside (as I recall, the wooden sidewalks are raised, but there will be a ramp at one end or the other), and ask if you can leave your scooter inside while you take the train. Take the key!
I have never been refused a request to leave my rented scooter while I take an excursion.
Then, if necessary, use a cane, walker, or rollator to get to the boarding area. That may work---and work well.
My only question would be can you climb the stairs to the train. You can ask about this at the Shore Excursion Office the day you board. Or, you can contact the special department in Seattle (sorry, the name of it slips my mind right now) to describe what you can and can't do, and find out if they can answer your questions. If not, they can get the answers for you.
I have had the Shore Excursion Office on the ship get those kinds of answers from the vendor more than once. Thanks Ruth I was wondering about leaving the scooter with ‘‘em while ride the train. Think I can do the steps.

Did you have an option to waitlist for the ship excursion? Which ship are you on and when will you be in Skagway? The distance to the train depends on where your ship is docked. There are four locations the ORE dock, Broadway dock, and two Railroad dock locations which have been affected by the rockslide in that area.
I am on the wait list.I will be on the Koningsdam in May. I will be renting a scooter for the cruise .

I tried to book the accessible excursion for this train but it is filled up. My husband really wants this train but I have issues walking very far. Just wondering how far the train is.

Pinnacle Grill was the worst meal we had on the Rotterdam. The steak had absolutely no flavour whatsoever.
The Wasabi encrusted beef tenderloin in Tamarind was far better than the tenderloin at PG.
Me too. The steak in the MDR was better. How do you mess up a baked potato?
NEVER book a 7 day Caribbean Cruise on HAL
in Holland America Line

Loved the nine day on Rotterdam but you are correct that unless you want to do the same itinerary or the canal there isn’t much left.
