Finally some upbeat news from me!

DH's right hip-heel pain has been greatly alleviated by the epidural injection he had a few weeks ago. His right foot fall hasn't improved but, with that leg's pain relieved and a right foot brace, he is more able to use his walker.

With his right side stabilized, DH's pain doctor has recommended a gel type injection into his left knee. An eons ago ski injury and arthritis gives DH extreme bone on bone pain that his left knee brace only partially relieves. The injection was set for February but a cancellation put him on tomorrow's schedule!

And, in the final bit of upbeat news, it appears I have found the fix for our washer. It had been stalling mid-cycle not filling or spinning properly. Before I called repair, I found a report on-line that our model's electronics can get confused. It suggested unplugging the washer for 20 minutes to let its brain reset. What the heck? I figured it was worth a try. And, the washer is now working like brand new!

Thanks for your continued prayers. My 🙏prayers for🙏 and 🎉celebrations with🎉 you continue.

So glad I finally have some upbeat news to share,

    -Melisa

Sorry about your husbands knee.I have the same issues and it it very challenging to get treatment. I also find the knee brace helps and I use a topical cream Kalaya  which really deadens the pain. Don’t know if can get it in the States.

Good Thursday Morning Daiyites! It is pouring buckets right now, there is still some fog, which is making the sound of thunder almost "bubble".  The last time the temp showed, it was at 62, and now it says Record Highs.  DH had his infusion yesterday, and took the rest of the day off, since we didnt get home until 4:30 I wish I had said no to those who wanted a call back yesterday.  I worked two hours, and not one person who wanted a call back answered.  I am burned out with this campaign.  I've been with it since the end of September. At this point I am reaching , if lucky, talking to people who have been called more than 20 times.  Instead of picking up once, talk to someone, hear the pitch and say no, they let it ring a zillion times over months, and then yell at us regarding our calling.  I'm a human, i will call until you say no.  But these computerized calls we have been getting from Sarah regarding medicare are still going on, everyday, and all you can do is hang up, because there is not a real person there.   I yelled yesterday, and the voice  stopped talking.  Interesting.

    Back to Rome

After a bit of a rest we decided walk over to see the Trevi Fountain.  The hotel is very close the the Marcus Aurelius obelisk, carved with the mans adventure through his life-

    IMG_0477.thumb.JPG.3b662e549719e97f5735780c2450bf77.JPG

But the closer we got to the fountain, we realized, a quiet moment with history and beauty was not going to happen-

IMG_0481.thumb.JPG.dcd43a39a1e3f03140e645219edc4049.JPGI am not into crowds, so we talked it over and decided we would get up very early the next morning and head back to see the fountain.  By the way- the fountain is to the left.

    Have a great day everyone!

The Trevinfountain was packed when we were there a few years ago. Could not get near it. Rome is so wonderful. Did you have cacio e Pepe?

Oh dear Gerry - the deterioration is scary!  I don’t blame you for being worried.  I hope the cardiologist gets him in right away.  If not, the ambulance is a really good idea.

@aliaschief fabulous pictures and what an amazing experience 👍. Very special memories indeed!

@StLouisCruisers your DD’s tree is beautiful, as always.  She’s so imaginative and creative 👍

Prayers for Gerry and take care.

    Greetings from beautiful Punta Gorda

3 more nice days in the 80s coming up but then it’s back in the 60s for highs next week

    Pretty funny quote

Herb roasted chicken sounds good to me

    Don't care for Screwdrivers

I love watching British Cop shows on streaming channels, finished “Line Of Duty” last week and now am into “Unforgotten”, Nicola Walker is one great actress. In the last few years I’ve watched some other great shows with Broadchurch, Endeavour and Midsomer Murders being my favorites

Have a great day and stay well

I also love British cop shows. I am streaming new Fatger Brown series and it’s pretty good, better than last year.

    You should be able to.

At the risk of seeming pushy, might I suggest a subject line of "Can I Upgrade After Final Payment?" or something like that.

I was afraid you fell down the stairs.

That would be a better line and you are not pushy.  I was watching Traitors on BBC, got addicted to it

  6. I have an Alaskan cruise booked w obstructed cabin, HIA and airfare all due art end of the month. I was thinking of upgrading to a vista suite but I don’t want to put any more expenses on my cc all a once. Could I upgrade after final payment is made and keep the HIA included?

Good morning Dailyites from a foggy, rainy, day for Georgetown.

We love our beautiful pup and the reason we were homesick the last week or two of our cruise. He loves his sweaters, a real fashion icon.

Today we go to the hospital for an ultrasound on DH. Afterwards, we are going to Fish City for fried catfish. That's all we have planned but one never knows what may pop up.

Happy Birthday to @cruising along. No bubble?

And prayers lifted for those on our Vanessa care list and our personal lists. DH got to speak a minute with Ron. His pain, plus Alzheimers, has really got him inside out. He thought he was in the hospital and was waiting for the doctor to release him.

Wishing everyone a blessed day. What a great group we have here. God bless.

    I love your pup!

Good morning.  Happy Hump Day.  Thanks for the Report.  Thanks for the maps.

Above freezing today with a chance of showers.   We have lots of snow on the ground so rain will make things very messy.  Bertie did very well with his check up yesterday, he got a booster shot and we were told he should lose a bit of weight, I guess that's how we will change a pet's life.

    I like the quote.

I haven't made salmon patties in ages, looking forward to seeing recipes, maybe that will be on the menu soon.  Gin and tonic is my go to drink if I don't want wine.  I hope the wine is tasty.

I've never been to today's port.

Prayers for everyone on the Care List.

Have a great day.  Stay safe.

    My moms salmon patties

I can salmon, half cup chopped celery w leaves.more or less, one egg beaten, crushed cracker crumbs to hold the mess together.heat up fry pan with butter, lots. Form mess into Pattie’s and fry u til golden brown. Is good with celery. Enjoy

looks like a warmer week for us.
Prayers to everyone not well and burn giorno to all

  10. That’s good news. The food on board is very good. A few years ago I had a very good dessert with white chocolate and key lime. It was presented like a popsicle and it was delicious. Also used to love baba au rum , on another line, RCI. Used to gorge myself on them. Just as well tgey don’t have them

  11. Do you think the sweets need work? Not that I need any calories butI found the meal endings lacked a good finish. One night I asked for the crisp but they said they didn’t have any in the mdr. The palmiers are great in the Dutch cafe though. Why no pie?

  12. Thank you for the report and the maps. More snow today but milder temperatures. There are lots of good people in the world. My eldest son lost his wallet on the commuter train and it was turned in with everything including gift cards from Christmas!
prayers for all who are I’ll and recovering from surgeries. I a, making my sphagetti and meatballs today. Marcella Hazan recipe. Melt hall cup butter and grate small onion into it. Then pinch of oregano. Cook till onion is golden. Add grated garlic and for just a minute , then large can San Marzano tomatoes or Passat a. Simmer merrily, pinch of sugar . Add meatballs, I bake them and top with Parmesan. Need a nice red with this and some crusty bread. Everyone stay warm and think nice thoughts!
