I like that quote to give your best anyway and thanks for the daily. Going nuts g

here in Niagara ,expecting a million visitors for the eclipse lasting three minutes. In Hamilton one minute and twenty seconds. They are filling the football field here with activities. Hope they know enough not to look at the sun directly. Can’t believe the fuss in Canada along with carbon tax deal. Rainy and cool and my daffodils are blooming wildly!

At 11:30 AM, Lido pool loungers pretty packed. Aft pool has a smattering of them. The Panorama Deck (10) had decent availability of the big, lounge beds and some chairs.

Deck 14,the Sky Deck has chairs galore.

Because I care, I took a photo to show you just how many chairs are empty up there. This photo is of the starboard side, but the port side was equally empty.

You gave me an idea. I have a horrible singing voice (which is really unfortunate as I love to sing — alone that is). I have chosen my song 🎵 🎶

If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands! 👏 👏

There are a few more verses about stomping feet and yelling Hurrah. But I bet after they hear me serenade them with the 1st verse, they will have moved their conversation elsewhere. 😀

A half day at Half Moon Cay - March 28, 2024

I knew that I wouldn’t be able to use my rollator on the sand and wasn’t sure how good the pathways were, so I chose not to go ashore.  I heard later that a woman fell out of her wheelchair on a path - glad I made the choice I did.  The last tender back was supposed to be at 2:30 but they announced five people were missing.  Eventually they must’ve been found because we sailed away.

I had decided to try the pizza place and when I got there Frances and Tony were waiting for it to open.  They had gone ashore but found the water too cold for comfort.

After a very good pizza and salad, we went to the Sea View pool.  I stayed in the pool about an hour.  The water felt wonderful

The last trivia of the cruise was another hard one.  I had 10 of 17 and the winners had 14.

    1.  According to Rolling Stone magazine, what is the only non-English song in the top 500 of all time.

    2.  What is Canada’s #1 summer sport?

    3.  What actor played Batman in the 1995 movie?
    4.  What did the Wicked Witch of the West write in the sky?

    5.  In what year was the first Tour de France?

    1. La Bamba

    2. lacrosse

    3. Val Kilmer

    4. surrender Dorothy

    5. 1903

After trivia I finished packing before a quick trip to the shops (I had non-refundable OBC) and then to our final dinner in the Club Orange dining room.  We skipped the show and I put my dinner clothes in the suitcase and wheeled it out.

Early morning tomorrow- we are meeting at 7:20!

    Smooth sailing until next time!

They need buggies on Half Moon Cay like tgey do on MSC private island. From what I’ve read it is fully accessible and there are a lot of us who need better accessibility

    Not at all surprising.

If someone hasn't done it yet, it is only a matter of time before passengers are live streaming throughout the ship.  That is what high speed internet allows them to do and they will do it.

I fondly remember the pre internet days when  cruising was relaxing although I did need it to book a flight home on Air Canada for seat selection otherwise we would have been bumped.

Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

I'll salute the Red Cross for what they do in disaster areas. I don' scribble and I'm not a big fan of whiskey. Funny quote. I don't like regular Hollandaise, but maybe this is different. The drink looks good and pass on the wine. I have not been to Falmouth. 2 good days in history.

Rain has finally stopped after all day rain yesterday. I don't know if hydroplaning was a cause, but there was a terrible accident between an 18-wheeler and 2 cars. People in the one car were ok, but 5 people in the other car were killed, including an infant. I'm very sleep again today, after about 3.5 hours of sleep. The contractor called this AM and the cleaning crew won't be here until next week. I'm still working on the dining room. I have 2 built in cabinets that flank the fireplace, and the glassware in them is dusty and needs to be cleaned (and maybe some gotten rid of). I've taken some ibuprofen for my poor overused left leg, so hopefully it will feel better.

@StLouisCruisers Thanks for the nice Falmouth photos.

@Mr. Boston Nice of you to help out your replacement.

@RedneckBob Enjoy snorkeling in Grand Turk!

@grapau27 Nice photos from Weymouth. No worries on it being Portland as the port.

@aliaschief Bruce, that was quite the spread!

@Crazy For Cats Safe trip home. I've mainly traveled with BFF and we've never been separated.

@Niagarawine Sorry to hear you need knee surgery. I was told I do too, but with upcoming back surgery, the knee is on the back burner.

@RMLincoln It sounds like you have great memories from that heritage immersion. I'm sorry to hear that DSIL has had a decline. Hopefully she rallies with holding the radiation a while.

@ger_77 Congrats on booking that TA.

@Nickelpenny Obviously you must be a talented teacher. even though not trained as one. Great on the cruise savings.

Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

Hope your leg feels better. Funny tge cold really bothers my knee and the rain so now I don’t need to watch the weather channel

  7. Thanks for the Daily and prayers to all on the sick

k list especially Allan who we met on Rotterdam. Take care Joy and everyone have a great day. Love hollandaise and will try the less caloric version. It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Hamilton, getting warmer.
gearing for Alaska and the old knees wil need a few painkillers to get to the Mendanhall. Can’t wait to sail with the lovely crew on Koningsdam. Safe travels to all this weekend. Got ham and lamb. I love lamb, they want ham. Hone mustard glaze and fresh asparagus with hollandaise , with pineapple coffee cake and lemon loaf for afters.
waiting on knee surgery which could take some time so I will limp around Juneau.
