  1. This is what HA sent my TA: Special Services Description Pre-Paid Crew Appreciation Promo Unlimited Luggage Delivery Service Signature Internet Package Initial In-Suite Liquor Set Up Welcome Onboard Bottle Of Sparkling Complimentary Exc Tour One Comp In-Suite Bottled Water & Soda
  2. We have the above included on our 94 day grand Asia cruise. I have searched around and cannot seem to identify what that actually is. When I go into the HA site it offers me a “Premium Internet Package “ for $ 759.99. Does anyone have any guidance or advice? Thanks in advance. Howie
  3. I am deferring to my Oceania aficionados on this one. Any idea when the itineraries will be posted for the later part of 2025/early part of 2026? As always, thanks so much for your assistance and guidance. Howie
  4. Heard several passengers were medically disembarked via ambulance in Ensenada.
  5. Was wondering what the availability of taxis/Uber is in San Diego upon disembarkation? Any guidance/feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. I have been out of direct clinical practice (this month will be ten years) and these nuances remind me why lol I wonder in the eyes (and checkbooks) of companies such as Medjet, how they handle a patient that is at/in the hospital under "observation."
  7. This is quite an important factor for all of us. The way that I look at Medjet, is as a supplement to the other travel insurance I buy. Another issue (and somewhat difficult to parse out sometimes) is what is considered an "inpatient admission." It is somewhat standard practice (from what I hear from my clinical colleagues) for patients to be admitted utilizing a process entitled "observation." There are various (mostly financial reasons)for a hospital to utilize this. In some eyes, "observation" does not equal "admission".
  8. I saw that also. One thing I have not seen before (and it may be just because it is an AWT cruise) is that if you cancel 180 days or before, the penalty is 10 percent of the total cruise fare.
  9. Thanks so much for your feedback. By any chance are you the same person with a similar name on CJ?
  10. May I ask what type of noise you had in 6088?
  11. And what would be your second choice?
  12. Would be grateful if I could get pros and cons of both categories. Things such as noise, movement, etc. Additionally, any of the OS or VS suites that would be better than others. Any guidance and assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Howie
  13. We are on Voyager which will be ending in Monte Carlo. We are spending the night in Nice and catching a flight out the next day. Does anyone have any suggestions for maybe a tour service that could pick us up at ship, provide a tour of Monte Carlo and Nice and drop us off at Hotel at end? Conversely, can anyone suggest a tour of Nice? Thanks, Howie
  14. I just received an email from my TA indicating that Regent is only doing deviations by "priority" and for bookings only within the next three months. Historically it has been 270 days, which left a variety of opportunities for flights, etc. I am concerned that reducing the window to 90 days, may restrict availability significantly. Has anyone heard anything similar? Thanks, Howie
  15. Thanks for your response. I think I may be wise to come up with a back up plan in case it gets cancelled. If you (or anyone else hears anything) would appreciate a heads-up.
  16. I am starting to read of various cruise lines that are either canceling or significantly adjusting their 2023 Baltic schedules. Presently I have the Navigator booked and was wondering if anyone has heard anything regarding Regent?
  17. From what I have been hearing from my primary care colleagues, many seem reluctant to order in their older (over 65) patients due to potential interactions (especially with anti-hypertensives and anti-coagulants). I think another challenging issue is that the FDA has approved this under their Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) abilities, so for the cruise lines I am pretty sure they are concerned about liability issues. Interesting data is starting to come out about rebound infection several days post completion of treatment. As we learned from prior anti-virals, this med may be limited in its effectiveness past the first treatment cycle.
