  1. With the new bar menus, new menus seem to be appearing with drinks not included in the Drink Packages. I recall items like XO, but these are more extensive.
  2. On Riviera now and yes slip-on slippers in the cupboard
  3. We were given this certificate when we upgraded to Prestige from OLife House and were told the discount applied.
  4. I think that may have changed. When we originally upgraded from OLife House to Prestige for $20 on December 23 aboard the ship (before all this beverage package confusion) for our first leg, we were told we were eligible for the 20% discount. However that discount could only be applied to subsequent purchases and no retroactive refunds. We had pre-booked all our La Reserves so we dismissed the discounts. Of course that was pre January 4 when the all this became a confusion and we have been told things that were not necessarily true.
  5. Thank you so much Amber. That was exactly our purpose. We tried to balance the responses and yet represent everyone’s point of view.
  6. Oh my. You are going to be very very disappointed then. - I didn’t disembark either - I didn’t try to access the executive lounge. - I wasn’t on the excursion that was complained about i tried to report back impressions of a newly refurbished ship and on a total cruise on that ship along with ToxM and answer what questions I could, take pictures, report on the new bar menus, answer specific questions. We were a very tight group, ate meals together, met and talked, shared experiences, had a very active roll call. Sorry that I missed the mark with you to the extent you chose to respond only negatively. You can be sure that I will not be doing anything as extensive as this again while on holiday again. Please do not waste your time responding to my posts again.
  7. Wow. That is curious. Why? Ours jumped right in and solved it. A call to the agency higher ups might be in order IMO
  8. Get your TA involved. This is when they are most valuable with the power of their agency behind you.
  9. No. We had a reservation and organized the group but ended in the medical centre with bronchitis. I asked the doctor and he said we were not catching but asked if we would enjoy it as we couldn’t really taste anything. It was one of the events we were looking forward to.
  10. No roadmaster, that is not correct. Prestige package pays for all but a few spirits at all bars, restaurants at any time thy are open. The exceptions are XO brandy, some specialty liquors - a high end limoncello at Tuscana specialty restaurant, sake at Red Ginger. However single malts, all cocktails are covered.I had a double Oban 14 yr single malt tonight @ $18 a shot that is covered. All wines by the glass, beers etc are covered. If in doubt ask but if it appears on the bar menus it is covered. ‘Your drink gratuity of 20% is covered. Check the thread NEW BAR DRINKS PRICES AND MENUS. I posted the new bar menus - if you see it, it is covered.
  11. So will I be expecting at least a half an apology from those so eager to state their position - lol I obviously did not make it clear enough that these are NOT MY observations but rather a compilation from a group of cc members who attended together and shared their thoughts. The same goes for all the cruise observations in the original post.
  12. True but I followed some very wise advice and did even better
  13. Decent bourbon - oxymoron? One single malt double per day justifies prestige IMO. People may change their minds on packages with drink price increases
  14. No it is still at Horizons @ $ 25 a shot but not in the Drink package
  15. Up at Horizons enjoying a double Oban 14yr @ 2 x $18 + 20%. All the single malts are aboard tho I have not verified that by taste 👅. They are included in the Prestige but NOT in the 2 for 1 Happy Hour or freebie parties. ( I am guessing there will be more of the party exclusions)
  16. This is from talking to those who had this New Year’s Eve. The champagnes were 3 different champagnes which were cycled through twice. The belief was there would be more champagnes and differences allowing a wider variation. This was a major disappointment as there was the belief there would be an attempt to pair the offerings with the food as there are with the Odyssey and Bourgeoise selections. ‘The meals for the other two are designed by Jacques Pepin while The Dom Perignon is not and we’re not as successful in choice. I want a wine pairing to reflect that and not just be champagne with some food. ‘The major price increase would bother me when this has not proven as successful. I would ask around because this just may have been a bad night.
  17. My guess would be the Christmas cruise - Dec 23 - Jan 4 was quite full.
  18. This was meant to be a summary of our first leg, from DEC 23 to Jan 4 from the collective conversations.
  19. We missed St Barts as it was too rough to anchor and tender. Instead we zigged and zagged on a sea day.
  20. I think I can live with that - nothing non-alcoholic😉
  21. Thanks Rob. I will put this in the file - It’s not about green but BS baffles brains.
