We always do assigned dining but my family decided that they want to do MTD next cruise because they don't want to feel rushed if they are not on time (which my wife is NEVER on time).

I didn't know there was a waitlist for YTD. I have an 8:15 that I want to change to YTD. I guess I need to do it sooner than later.

216 days of longggg wait. Haven't cruise since December 2019.

I’ve seen reviews of the ship itself and they like the shows. Main complaint about celebration is the elevators.

I like changes so this is awesome. Venezia will be the second ship after celebration to have the live painting show.

When will the ship go to dry dock?

What kind of cabin were you assigned to? The day before I got mine they say they were working on suites and then balcony. Balconies and suites should be done from a few das ago.

Easy solution. Give them the kid so they get escorted to the faster line and you can use your priority boarding

They are 6454 and 6458. one is above the Gondola lounge and the other is above room 5202 which is a terrazza room. I'm glad 6454 is not on the opposite side because it would be over a bar.

Funny thing is I was forward and now they moved me to aft. Never done forward before so Magic would have been my first time.

I’m glad you don’t have to go through that headache. They moved me from forward side by side connecting balconies (not connecting cabins) on deck 7 to two rooms far from each other on deck 6. They told me that in order to put me on deck 7 it would cost me more. Anyways, I was able to get booked in 6454 and 6458. Looking at the deck plan, 6454 is above the Gondola Lounge but 6458 is above 5202 a Terrazza room. I’ve never been above or below anything other than rooms before. That’s why I had booked 7 on Magic. I just realized this is Jim who I’ve been watching for years on YouTube:). I love your content.

Just as I called and was looking on my booking to give them my booking number I noticed that they assigned my cabins. It wasn't there an hour ago. These cabins are not side by side balconies as I previously booked. Also they moved me from the 7th floor to the sixth so now I'm not between all cabin floors anymore. The person I spoke with was able to find me side by side balconies even though we don't know if these open up to each other like I had booked.

I'm doing that right now

I did that a few times and she (claimed) she spoke with a supervisor and was told that I will just have to wait. I'm wondering if anyone from my particular cruise date was assigned as yet. The people who say they are assigned are all on a different cruise date.

When is your sail date? I noticed that people who are in September got their assignments because Carnival seem to be working backwards.

Many of us have been waiting since November 14th for our new room assignment when our ship was changed from Magic to Venezia. I booked through a Carnival PVP and I called her a few times and she said there is nothing she can do to ensure I get my rooms assigned until the department that handles that take care of it. She found a couple rooms and tried to put me in them but the system automatically cancel them out because they notice from my VIFP number that I am already booked on this cruise. I noticed some people who booked through a TA were able to get theirs change through their TAs. I would have though PVPs would have more control than TAs. Can someone please let me know what's the pros and cons of booking therough TAs vs PVPs?

I’m happy to hear that you got yours. At least that’s progress. I tried calling a few times but to no avail.

I could have sworn it said coming soon when I checked. lol. I guess I looked in the wrong row. At least the Waterworks is coming which my kids will enjoy.

Were you booked on the Magic or did you book the Venezia directly?

That could be the case. Many people wanted to get on the Cyber deal but could not. My original bookings were cheaper than the cyber or Black Friday deals so I am not angry about missing it.

I got the call on my last two cruises and got great offers that I could not resist. Last cruise I was finally going to try an interior cabin by the called and offered me upgrades for both for less than $100. I was like yes yes yes, I’ll take it.

That’s a wrong approach they are taking if they are hoping for cancellations because people are still booking. Will have less options as times go by unless they are going to make suites unavailable for booking if anyone cancels.
