  1. Did you really scatter the mini frig stock all over the room? You really think the room steward

stocked it because he thought it was a good idea? Don't you think they have enough to do cleaning up after all of us without guys like you creating more work for them? Sorry man but shame on you.

I agree with you. Not sure why they would scatter the stuff out the fridge. Could have asked the steward to take them out.

  2. Thank you all. I booked the cruise then I realized it will be two weeks after they come from Spring Break. The school says its ok I could just ask for the lesson before or after.

I am happy to hear that there will be other children there as well. They may be the richer folks kids who are more well-mannered and home schooled. lol. I think t is a better time to travel than in the summer when everywhere is taken over by kids. I will be on Lido deck so the less kids mean the less noise (I hope).

  3. Hello Criticers,

I will be sailing at the end of April with my two kids ( 2 and 13) among others. I want to know if there are a lot of children on the cruise at that time seeing that most children will still have school. I hope my children are not the only ones there because I want them to go to camp and have fun with other kids.

    Please let me know..

    Thanks.

  4. Thank you for your impressions. We are sailing on Glory on April 29' date=' 2017 (our first Carnival cruise) and understand that she will be in drydock a couple of months prior to that so perhaps the water slide issue will be addressed. I'm glad to hear she is in great shape though...we cannot wait to get on board![/quote']

I will be on the Glory the week before so I am also hoping they add another waterslide and a ropes course.

  5. When I first started this thread it was almost a year ago. We are now only about 6 months out. We are super excited about getting this room. Can't wait to take in the amazing view out the window as we sail out to sea.

I will be on your second of the B2B. I am currently booked in an interior on the Lido deck but looking to move to 9197 which is a room close to yours. #Neighbors

  6. Wondering if anyone has ever stayed in this exact room. We did the sister room on the Valor, which did not have a chaise lounger. I saw a video that showed it did have one on the conquest, but have not been able to determine for sure if the Glory does. Have this room booked for a b2b and think that lounger could be my favorite spot on the whole ship.

That's a very nice and spacious room right at the front on the Lido deck. I am not sure of the details but from what I have heard it is a great room. I have 9197 which is in the same vicinity on hold for one of my cruises.

You will love your room for sure.

  7. We have used it a few times and loved it! We have had no problems and it always worked great for us.

The Social Media package was $5.00 a day or $25.00 for the entire cruise per device.

Thanks for your feedback. I think I will need to get it.

  8. I thought it was $5 per cruise, not $5 per day.

Isn't the social media plan $5 per day?

The link you sent says $5 per day. I took the quote below from the website:

Social ($5 USD per day) – Access the most popular websites and applications. Includes: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Linkedin, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. Does not include access to other websites or apps.

  9. Have any of you ever used it?

    Is it worth paying for?

I need it mainly ttoicatate wihfamily eembers seeing that will be six of us cruising. Just wondering if it is worth paying for seeing that it will cost $5pp x 7days =$35+tax times 6 = $215+ tax

My keyboard is acting up so there are a lot of typos in that message. I was saying I need it to communicate with family

  10. We always buy insurance but never through the cruise line. The coverage limits are very low and the premium is very high.

We get it through Insure my trip. The premium is about $120.00 total for DH 64, myself, 52 and DD 16, with medical limit around $100,000, evacuation at about $500,000, etc, depending on the company.

Carnival's limits are, medical, $10,000 and evacuation is $30,000.

That's a big difference. Not sure if the insurance is refundable but I will check it out.

  11. Last March I tripped over my own two stupid feet and broke my ankle in my friends front yard. If that can happen, anything can happen. I'm getting the insurance. Not from Carnival tho.

None of our feet are stupid though :). Just kidding. What company are you getting it through?

  12. Always get it. After having to cancel three cruises in two years, it was money well spent. Unless each traveler is young, each traveler's parents are young, and all grandparents are young, it is well worth the cost. Even if all involved are young and healthy, things can still happen, both pre-cruise and even worse, during the cruise.

    Point taken. Thanks

  13. $432 better used elsewhere?

Like covering that $300,000 medical bill for the 83 year old who falls down and strokes out in the middle of the Caribbean and requires immediate medical attention? Medicare doesn't cover outside the US.

    Travel insurance is age based.

The 83 year old is better off using the cruise lines insurance. The rest of you could do better price wise

I agree with you on the necessity of it for the 83 years old. She is in good health and very active for her age but I think it was necessary for her. I got it for everyone because the carnival agent sold me when she said if anything happens and one of us can't make the cruise then that person would get back everything. Seeing the cruise is months away I figured out I should get it for everyone because anything could happen between now and then.

  15. We always get it, god forbid the one time we don't is when we probably would need and use it! Its worth the extra money but I don't pay for 6 people just two of us, in your case, (depends on your age and your medical history though) if your under 47 I say save the money for something else, because I just started getting it at the age of 48.

I prefer to buy Carnivals for the convenience and they back me up should I need their help with something. Sometimes I would add additional coverage but it depends on where I am going but the standard should be sufficient, the way I see it, best to have something than nothing.

Six people I probably would not spend again, depends on your age and current health.

Thanks Cruisegirl. Two of the6 are over 48 (55 and 83). None of the six have any major health issue. I am not planning on getting additional coverage.

  16. I always buy travel insurance but never Carnival's vacation protection. It is over priced for the coverage you get. I go to insuremytrip dot com and compare policies and prices there and purchase through them.

I'm sure others will chime in shortly with their experiences as well.

Thanks.. I did a lot a research on all areas of the cruise but did not check out anything regarding vacation protection elsewhere. I guess there can't be too much researching

  17. I am not planning on being nude but was just curious to know if nudity is allowed on the serenity decks.

Are the decks solely for alone time away from kids and the noise or is it for adults to do whatever they want?
