  1. I am booked on the Fantasy in a few weeks. We have an interior cabin that will have me and my 2 daughters age 16 and 13. Does anyone know any experience with how it accommodates 3 people? I understand there are 2 single beds and they will bring in a trundle bed for the 3rd person. I am just wondering how comfortable we will all be? Although, I really am not worried because we will only be in the room to sleep and shower.

Depending on the room you get. There might be a couch or a pull down bunk bed. There are interior rooms that accommodates 5 people. You guys just have to arrange time so that all three will not be in the bathroom putting on makeup at the same time. Just don't worry about that. They would not categorize a room as 3 if it can only accommodate 1 or 2.

  2. You need less than you think. I always overpack and regret it. We spend a lot of time just lounging and cooling off at the aft pool. I spend most port days in a bathing suit and cover up until dinner. At dinner I wear sun dresses and sandals. Formal night, we dress up. I also bring a pair of white dress capris and a nice top. Hope this helps.

    2 bathing suits

    2 cover ups

    3-4 casual sun dresses

1 dressier outfit or maxi dress

    1 white capris

3-4 tops for port days or that go with capris

3 -4 shorts for port days and evenings at comedy club

1 pair low heel sandals for dinners

    1 pair flip flops

    All other necessities

    Don't forget underwear.

  3. Have two booked. One is 382 days away, the other is 747 days away.

Waiting for a sale on Black Friday or Cyber Monday to book a short 5 day out of Charleston in March of 2017 to tide us over.

747?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????. That's a long wait. lol. I did not know they do Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales too. Now you got me thinking.

  4. We love to cruise and we always take our 11 year old son. His favorite thing to do on embarkation day is to be the 1st to the Red Frog Pub. We did it a few years ago and since then has become part of our embarkation ritual with him. They give him a free coke and he loves that. We of course enjoy the free adult beverage you receive for being 1st there.

Here's a fun video we made with our latest run to the RFP on the Miracle last month.

I watched that video a few weeks ago. Wow!! I was actually talking with Sharon at sea today on one of her videos. I believe it is part two of that same trip. I was asking her if I could use her video in a forum. Small world.

  5. While I cannot answer your question about the possibility, I would suggest you might consider the downsides of such a large table and think instead of a table for 8 and an adjacent table for 6 folks. In an already somewhat dining room, conversations at a table for 14 would be severely limited except between folks sitting next to each other. Even a table for 8 some folks find table-wide conversations very difficult. In a private home or private restaurant room 14 at a table might work - but I would question even that in terms of any meaningful whole group conversations.

The group could rotate folks between the 2 tables each night- allowing folks to talk with different others some evenings. Just a suggestion to think about.

    I like your idea.

  6. I would definitely choose someplace you haven't visited, rather than 60 days seeing the same ports. I recently did a B2B2B (33 days) on the Vista. The first 2 Med legs did repeat a few ports, but there are is so much history in Europe, it was very easy to see different things on each leg. Then the TA had all new ports.

In 2012, I took a B2B2B on the Spirit repo to Australia (35 days), which included stops in the South Pacific, which still remains my most favorite place.

My first choice would be Horizon, but since you are looking at winter of next year, you are limited on your itineraries. I would definitely look at the Vista, since there are so many things to do. Even being on 33 days, I didn't do everything I had planned.

Somebody mentioned the approval rating. I would really like to know what exactly these people are looking for in a cruise. The only thing that most complained about was the theater setup, which is like the Sunshine. But like anything else, you make it work.

I haven't been on the Breeze, but it seems others recommend it highly.

I guess if you just want to enjoy the ship, and don't really care about the same itinerary (Caribbean), then I would definitely go with the ship that supplies a variety of things to do.

I think European passengers are harder to please. I bet the Vista ratings will go up when it comes to North America.

  7. I watched a few videos to compare the interior of the ships and some look really really outdated. The Splendor, for example, has that old-fashioned pink color that I definitely am not attracted to.

I hope when the Glory dry dock in March they will get the carpets a little more updated as well. I like the interior look of the Breeze and (surprisingly) the Miracle. I said surprisingly because I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how beautiful the architecture work in the walkways at the side of the ship are.

What are your favorite Carnival ships based solely on the interior look?

Check out from the 6:00 minute mark to about the 11:00 minute mark of this video

  8. I just wanted to say that I'm jealous!! Lol But, if I ever had the option of 60 days on a cruise I'd probably go on the Vista because it's the newest and has a lot to offer. I do love the Conquest class ships though. Bigger isn't always better.

The reviews on the Vista is not great. Under 60% love the cruise. I would go with Glory, Dream or Breeze.

  9. My wife and I are discussing trying to spend 60 days on a Carnival ship during the winter of 2017-2018. We have only done as much as 22 days currently and was wondering what it would be like to spend 60 days. If you could chose one Carnival ship to spend 60 days on which one would it be. I am not as concerned with the ports of call as we have seen most Caribbean ones anyway so looking for comfort of the ship and friendliness of the crew.

I am hoping if i book long enough in advance i can make sure my PVP gets each leg in the same cabin.

You are my role model and inspiration. I can barely pay for my 7 days cruise :(

  10. This is not correct. If you are Diamond/Platinum/FTTF or have a Suite you still need to pick a time but can arrive as early as the first check in group regardless of your time slot.

Firemanmobswife is right. You have to pick a time but you still can go on before if you have one of the VIP statuses. I think they make you still select a time to have an idea how crowded the port will be at certain times and what time slots to close out.

  11. I've been on Journey cruises with several hundred platinums and diamonds; one cruise reportedly had around 700.

On the roll calls for these cruises, posters were putting out alerts for when FTTF became available for non P&D's.

I think the idea that FTTF is limited by the # of P&D's on board is a cruise myth.

Carnival limits FTTF solely to raise the demand. As they continue to raise the price of FTTF, some demand might wane, but they could recapture that revenue by selling "Almost as Fast to the Fun" for the original FTTF price.

Several hundreds???? That's just moneymaking there.

  12. But if we are just changing ships shouldn't it all be the same? The same people already booked and I booked FTTF at the same time I booked the cruise.

It would not make sense to cancel my FTTF.

It certainly should remain the same "if" the ship size and layout is the same.

  13. Ships do not offer church services. You can do this on your own with your group. If a pastor etc wants to do a service, they will need to bring a good standing letter from their religious leader and present it to guest services. Guest services will try to book a spot for you but this is solely based on availability.
