  1. Thanks. That is why I am looking for something longer. I heard back from the person was recommended, and she suggested a tour of A DAY IN THE LAND OF THE GAUCHOS. San Antonio de Areco+Estancia and it would drop me off at the airport at around 6-7pm. That is much better than a short tour. Will look at other tour providers who can do something similar.
  2. Tan Thanks, I sent her an email. There has to be something better than the Celebrity tour that does a tour, lunch and a tango show and dumps you at the airport at 5pm.
  3. We are on Celebrity Infinity to Antarctica next February and our flight home from Buenos Aires is not until 10:45pm. Is there a good tour that we can do that will pick us up at the cruise terminal and then drop us off at the BA airport at around 7-8pm? If someone has a suggestion for a tour and guide, that would be great. Some friends who are going to be on the same cruise are doing the Celebrity excursion that takes you to lunch and a tango show, but they end up at the airport in the late afternoon, which is WAY too much time at the airport for me (even though I have Priority Pass lounge access, but they might throw me out after a few hours).
  4. BTW, for anyone who may care, the ship apparently went to Curaçao for the dry dock, and it's currently still in Aruba. https://www.cruisemapper.com/?imo=9228368 We will be going to an Ecuadorian restaurant for dinner on Saturday night, since we should have been eating that food tonight. Fortunately, there is a good one in a nearby town.
  5. Rebooked for next year, and my TA told me "Here is your confirmation for Southern loop cruise, your all paid in full with the FCC they instantly applied to this booking, and they are going to refund your other cruise too you within 7-10 days." So I will get the refund and the free cruise, although I'm sure thee are some here who won't believe it even after I get it.
  6. And very relevant to your post of doubting them doing it for the entire ship, making it seem like it's for 3000 passengers. I also posted the official email from Celebrity. So I'm talking facts, you and Funky are posting uninformed opinions.
  7. The entire ship is 48 passengers. And they did similar when they stopped cruising at the very start of the Covid shutdown.
  8. You're being ridiculous. They literally cancelled what is most people's bucket list vacation two days before they were supposed to leave.
  9. Galapagos cruises always seem to get higher the closer you get to the sailing. This was supposed to be a 2020 sailing. We cancelled before they did and my TA foolishly did not use the Cruise With Confidence to rebook for 2021 at the same price, so we picked a 2022 sailing that was still reasonably priced (2021 was too expensive). As for the options, they really needed to put "and" in bold letters. Our friends who were sailing with us missing that it was a refund AND free cruise. And I initially thought that the "and" was only for the FCC option.
  10. Well, they literally cancelled it at the last minute. They did this when they did the Covid shutdown. Sadly, I had blinked first and cancelled.
  11. That was my first impression, but given that the price of Galapagos cruises for 2023 is likely higher than I originally paid, I think just moving to 2023 and getting the full refund is preferable.
  12. Thanks for the review. Do you recall which restaurant Celebrity took you to for dinner the night before the cruise? We're going to be there one extra day and found someplace, but want to make sure it's not the same one they will take us to. Never mind, I found it thanks to TripAdvisor reviews -- The Glory (lagloria.com.ec). Not the place I found near the hotel, so all is good.
