  1. This Is my 6th Carnival cruise and this is without a doubt a tremendous step up in all phases.

We could not be happier. Although this is a cruise with well over 6k passengers the ship is manageable.

I felt way more crowded in the dream class..

Positives..our spa suite 17293 is perfection. Although a bit narrow, It's extremely long..when the curtain divider is pulled its like a 2 room suite.

The deck is rounded and sits out from the others. We also have a private elevator directly to deck 5 and the spa..

It's also just one deck above the lido and 1 deck below serenity. You can move throughout the ship swiftly.

The lido marketplace design just is a huge upgrade..the food stations keeo it moving.

It's also just very nice and spacious. Always a table.

Summer landing is  awesome. Lots of choices to spread people out.

    Negatives..

Maybe elevators..we have waited longer than any other ship..the auto touch bathroom  doors seem to stay open a solid 14 seconds..

A couple times women looked directly in the men's locker room..I would bet my life more than a few women have seen men n their full glory..fortunately for me I'm no costanza.

Nothing else comes to mind except for a minority of the people in general..

We cannot wait to sail this again in a few years. We have another ship booked next dec and it's not gonna be this..

Hanging out is not a big deal, but you may not be hanging out as long as you think -- 3 minutes to board the Uber, a 7-minute ride, 2 minutes to get out of the Uber, an extra 5-10 minutes for your Uber to get to a drop-off area at the port, 2-5 minutes to hand off your bags to porters and 2-5 trying to figure out where to go.

You are looking at the long end of 32 minutes.  If the Uber is on time, then only a 30-minute wait.  Sometimes, check-in is 30 minutes or more ahead of schedule.

    Ty!!

  3. I have done a cruise over Superbowl Sunday and its a blast but i thought id mention a few things that people will probably be asking..

    1. The game is going to be shown in mutliple spots. Pool big screen, various lounges, casino etc. On Excel Ships a good spot will be Summer Landing/Heroes  Bar.

    2. Dont expect to have some kind of buffet with wings, nachos, etc. its possible but not likely. Of course, if you are in a bar that sells food for an upcharge then thats what you do.

    3. You definitely can send a "runner" to the lido or wherever to get food and bring back. I person at least needs to stay behind or your seat is gone.

    4. If a good seat is something you desire, find out where you want to watch and park it.  I believe people started gathering at 2:30. Once seated you can alternate          with others to go do stuff if you dont want to be locked in front of a tv for 7 hours straight.

If anyone else has anything to add please do..

Following. Has been on Venezia my

last 3 cruises. Very popular and smells great but I’m one of those “I’ve already paid for

my food not gonna pay extra.” I’m a solo cruiser so I’m already paying double for my cruise! Wondering about the clam strips???

I'm with ya...not sure if I could cruise alone...every time I go to to the breakfast buffet alone  my drink and knife is pushed to the side and people are at my spot.

We love MG and the football watching area is great!  We have done it in the past on several ships (including our honeymoon on RCCL 21 yrs ago) and they typically made it like a giant tailgate for both teams playing.  For us it was a lot of fun and great memories!

Can u be specific please about the football watching area?  The ship is big.

The ship will begin boarding when it is cleared by Customs, if you arrive too early you will be sitting around a lot it doesn't matter if you're in a suite or not. What's wrong with arriving at 10:30 like your arrival appointment says?

And once you get on the ship you'll be sitting around a lot because there really isn't anything happening on the ship until at least 1:30 when the cabins (yes including suites) are ready.

Suites are ready when we get on. Always have been. That's a perk.

And I'll think about your other suggestion..

  7. If we book the world resorts excursion, can we eat lunch at the beach club or do we have to eat at the resort restaurant?  Can we go straight to the beach club or we have to stop in the hotel first?  I'm going in July.  Thanks

You most definitely can eat right at the beach club..its 150 feet to the left of the pool as u face the acean..

Go at 11 sharp and u will have the pick of seats..I'll try and post a few pics..

  8. Everything about this screams stupidity. Saying that I'm wondering where his balcony  room was. I know that ship well and i dont see how you can fall in the water from deck 6 or higher...deck 5  has an outdoor walkway that surrounds the ship and should catch anyone falling over..

I would think youd half to literally spring dive off the railing to make it into the ocean..I'm thinking he had a cove balcony...you are going in the water from that deck..
