  1.  I personally will be parking so I need to go to the cedar Grove lot..

The official directions say even if dropped off you must go to the parking lot. Whatever works for you.

I believe nauticus is in a tiny congested area and that is why they direct people to the lot.

We check in at 10 am with priority boarding so we will arrive at the lot at 830 and expect to be onboard by 11 am.

  2. Everyone who goes on the magic has to go the the cedar grove lot and either be dropped off or park. Absolutely cannot be dropped off at the terminal. the lot is 3 miles from the terminal.  that is where the porters check your bags and where you get on the shuttle for the terminal.

You need to park first and roll your bags to the area where the porters and buses are. if someone is handicapped i suggest dropping them off along with the bags first and then going to park.

    buses start running at 8..

For Suites with priority, can you drop the bags prior to 1:30?

i would say that would be a "yes"..we are on the magic next week and have a suite. we just received an email stating that we can access our room immediately upon boarding. i am going straight to my room and expect to be able to get in.

There are no secrets...people just like to think there are because it makes them feel like they have information nobody else has. You find this all the time on travel sites. "Disney World Hacks" etc...there are no secrets or hacks to Disney World except keep your wallet in reach at all times. It's the most traveled piece of land on the face of the earth.

Oh boy..From now on you are to be officially known as "Captain Obvious".

Of course there are no true "secrets".

But we all understand the true spirit of what is being asked.

I gave mine above. I know it's no secret but it sure seems so since I seem to be the only one enjoying the experience..

But again captain, you are right.

  5. Secret tip.....The cloud 9 spa has fabulously large tiled showers, large sinks, lockers, towels and hairdryers for use by everyone onboard.

I used them all week and let my wife have the bathroom  to herself. I felt like a king. She thought I was nuts until I showed her the pics.

The forward elevators go directly to the spa..deck 12. I could be there in 2 minutes even though my room was on deck 3..

We booked a spa suite on our May cruise to enjoy that area more.

  6. Different than the bimini beach club that virgin owns? I  see conflicting videos showing the same place for both and others with different amenities..

I also read where virgin accepts guests from other cruise ships to use bimini beach club if a virgin ship isn't in port the particular day another cruiseline is docked.

From what I can see of the virgin owned beach club I would rather go there if possible..it's very nice.

And carnival has an official excursion to resorts world but I'm wondering if that is actually bimini beach club.

The difference in cost between a drydocking and a wet berth repair is so great it wouldn't even be considered.  A wet berth would cost around $20k/day just for the berth.  A drydock runs around $400k/day or more, just for the dock time.  Unless a drydock is required by statute, or by the need to repair underwater equipment, it ain't gonna happen, certainly not in the present fiscal environment.

Well, it's drydocked. You obviously are not correct...but I give u points for trying..

Well $25 full tank even in my Honda Civic was a long time ago but yes.
Once upon a time I could fill my tank with $65.
Now it costs me $120. (2.05 per litre at the moment).

Damn..and I think $70 is terrible for my camry

  9. I'm still not clear as to which sailing this was on since nobody has ever put a time..

Was this the sailing that was just over yesterday morning or the cruise that returned back last saturday?

We got off the Magic this morning and didn't see, hear, or smell anything about this.  I'm guessing only a small number of passengers were involved.

While they're launching an investigation, they should look into Norfolk's embark/debark procedures (or lack thereof).  Our embarkation was 4 hours end to end, and we debarked about 30 minutes past the everybody-off time, with only a few self-debarkers and no checked-luggage debarkers off by then.

Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg?  I agree with you.  Virginia Beach and Norfolk?  I disagree.  I have enjoyed many pleasant vacation days staying at Virginia Beach and visiting the attractions of Norfolk as well as other areas in the Tidewater region.

But for a cruise stop? I think not.

  11. We booked the celebration in a spa suite for $3850 a week.

Then we received a 50% discount offer and was able to cut that down to $1900.

We took that savings and booked a second week on the magic in an ocean suite for exactly $1900.

we are happy with that deal. 2 weeks in suite accommodations for $3850..
