  1. I was given a number in World Fresh Marketplace yesterday. No tickets. I didn’t have breakfast today so maybe they went back to tickets this morning if you got one.
  2. No, I just prefer to get all of my food at one time. I hate having to either let everything get cold while I wait around for a waiter to take my ticket and then go back to the buffet and get my omelette and then bring it to meal or having to get up and return to the buffet with my omelette to get the rest of my breakfast.
  3. The route showing on the link you shared is identical to the image I posted, It shows the route for Royal Class ships is on the west side of Vancouver Island. Grand Class ships sail the Inside Passage located on the east side of the Island
  4. You don’t have to stand in front of the egg station any more than all the waiters waiting for omelets did. You can take a plate and get the rest of your food for one thing or just step aside. Given staffing shortages on recent cruises this has been a huge reduction in waiting time for me. Waiters have been hard to find in the buffet since the restart. It also lets me take my breakfast out to a table by the pool where it’s less crowded.
  5. This is the first Princess cruise for me where they would give omelets directly to passengers. It was always no table, no waiter - no omelets
  6. To each his own. I think both methods probably cause about the same congestion. Waiting time was much longer the old way though
  7. They finally got rid of one of my pet peeves, at least on the Enchanted. They simply give you a number when you order an omelette and let you wait and take it yourself when it is ready. No more getting a ticket, taking the ticket to your table, waiting for a waiter to come take your ticket, waiting for the waiter to return with your omelette, then going back to collect the rest of your breakfast.
  8. The medallion actually comes on a lanyard. I like though that it is easy to wear on a wristband so it’s with me all the time - swimming, exercising etc are not great with a lanyard and I’m not crazy about leaving my key card lying around. The hands free aspect is also helpful to me when opening doors and ordering at bars.
  9. Royal class ships cannot sail the inside passage the way smaller ships can
  10. Sky and Discovery were bad but the Enchanted was worse on the nights I was there. There must be something about those ships
  11. One can only hope. It’s the worst of all the Princess ships I’ve been on.
  12. I think you will see plenty of people in jeans, but maybe not so many in sweatshirts and tennis shoes in the dining room on most Princess ships. The itinerary you are looking at will make a difference. Alaska, or possibly Antarctica, might be the only itineraries where sweatshirts are common. That said, on a Caribbean or other warm weather cruise you probably wouldn’t be wearing jeans and a sweatshirt on an excursion anyway. 😎 If you like Celebrity, you will probably like Princess too. I like the fact that Princess has self-service laundry, will deliver food and drink to you anywhere on the ship at no charge, savory food at the International Cafe instead of just sweets at Cafe Al Baccio. Celebrity though does seem to have better food and doesn’t allow indoor smoking anywhere on their ships.
  13. My experience on the Enchanted is limited but the casino was ridiculously crowded when I have been in it. An expansion might be a great idea
  14. Drinks are available at nearly all bars, including those that are outdoors by the pool and Cafe Al Baccio. You can order a drink and take it wherever you like. Happy hour is no longer an event held in a specific space.
  15. The Sunset Verandas are fantastic cabins. Larger than a deluxe balcony on Royal Class ships with balconies big enough for loungers
  16. I would disagree - I like the Celebrity Summit a lot. I’ve been on it several times 2011, 2014, and 2021. I enjoyed it every time.
  17. Not finding a table seemed all about understaffing when I was on the Solstice recently. It takes much longer to clear tables if there aren’t enough staff.
  18. Unless you are at a port that limits access to the building itself based on boarding time and you want to be among the first to board. I’m not sure I’d count on staff to know or recognize status. I remember separate lines for entry to the building based on arrival time at one port last year. For me it’s worth the effort to select a time.
  19. Yes, there was priority for Elite and Platinum
  20. It is so ironic. I couldn’t believe that they said last month that “dinner” was available in the buffet on the Solstice. There was nothing but pizza, pasta, and burgers when we walked in at 7:30. That is some culinary achievement.
  21. They were boarding based on assigned times in San Pedro last month but not limiting entrance to the building.
  22. I would try to do a one-way and add a land tour. My choice for a one way would be southbound to make the trip home shorter and easier. I did a Princess Lodges rail tour that was completely separate from my cruise in August and loved it. There was no bus travel nor were there lots of organized group excursions or planned meals. We could pick the excursions we wanted at each lodge or book something on our own. To me it was the best of all worlds - hotels, train tickets, and transfers arranged, leave luggage outside your door each departure morning and find it in your room at the next destination, but spend each day as you wish. I liked traveling every leg by train much more than doing half by bus on a cruise tour. https://www.princesslodges.com/alaska-rail-tours/learn/ i chose this unescorted 6 night tour from Fairbanks to Anchorage and can highly recommend it. https://www.princesslodges.com/alaska-tours/itinerary-3ts/?from_search_query=dG91clR5cGU9ZXhwbG9yZXImc2VhcmNoT25seT0w#3TS
  23. Do you mean in the park itself or near the Denali Lodge? We were there for two nights in August. There are a number of places near that lodge. I liked Prospectors Pizzeria and Alehouse and would recommend it. We ate at a restaurant at the lodge the other evening
