  1. I'm loving your videos, photos and review Greg. I hope your knees are pain free. Graham.
  2. We get up at 6 am on Pauline's work days and it feels like the middle of the night. Summer is best when it is light before 5 am. It is raining heavily now.
  3. A couple of years ago after having a new back lawn laid a mole took up residence. We tried various methods over 3-4 months with no success. I bought a tube with metal shutters on each end which opened inwards only and dug down to its tunnel and placed it there. It worked perfectly and i caught the mole. I have used it a couple of times and got rid of 2 moles.
  4. Good morning. It was a lot milder 10°C when I took Pauline to work. I'm looking forward to the clock's going back on Sunday so it's a little lighter in the morning. It has just started raining. I hope everyone has a nice day.
  5. Thank you Sue. I wasn't aware how quiet the DLs were now. When we were on Oasis in January we never went into the DL at all. A lot of DLs main attraction was the daily unlimited drinks HH and your experience confirms people are going elsewhere. We prefer to use our voucher's when and where we want including the Viking Crown Lounge.
  6. Your cruises sound amazing and I'm so happy for the two of you. I hope you both have a fantastic cruise on Wonder and Serenade and also your Viking cruises. We sailed on Serenade around the Baltic in May 2015 and loved the ship and the DL. We had a great 7 nights in Orlando at Lake Buenavista village resort and spa and got back home on Sunday November 15th. Best wishes to you both.
  7. We preferred the DL to the CL TBH. Looking at the bigger picture I think we can all see the direction the lounges are going. We only popped in the DL for a short time for a coffee during the day on our previous several cruises and didn't go in during HH and never had breakfast in the DL. Most D+s were against the loss of the CL and although it didn't bother us I agreed with the consensus then that it was another loss of benefits.
  8. A possibility might be a new level at 500 points who could join the pinnacle members on a night time in the Crown lounge reverting back to unlimited drinks and improved snacks to encourage attendance by the highest loyalty members. We are 200 points below this so it would not benefit us. As I suggested on a previous post the Suite lounge would be for Suite passengers only.
  9. TBH we have only went into the DL for a coffee during the day on our last several Royal cruises and the DL has almost been empty or almost empty during the day. The novelty of our drinks being continually topped up in the DL and CL during happy hours enticed us in but now we prefer using other lounges and speciality restaurants for our 5 each free vouchers.
  10. Good afternoon Pat. I hope you and Bucky are well. Cruises cost more in Europe compared to the US so another reason Viking is more expensive. Royal seems quite expensive in Europe too. Our last Royal cruise was Oasis in January 2023 out of Miami. Since then we were on MSC in April and P&O in June. Our next few cruises are on P&O too. We have just got home after a week's hotel stay in Orlando. What is happening now with the DL is something I suggested might be a solution to DL overcrowding a few years ago. Our 5 vouchers each as D+ per day at any time including Sauvignon blanc is much better for us especially since unlimited drinks in the DL stopped. Just my opinion but I think eventually the Suite lounge will be for Suite passengers only and the Crown lounge will be for Pinnacles only with possibly an extra voucher per day for a speciality coffee elsewhere on board for Diamond and Diamond+ member's.
  11. Ann @Vict0riannand Pat. Happy 58th birthday to your son.
  12. Good morning from a cold, partly sunny 46°F North East England. Thank you for today's fleet reports and Daily Rich. My mother in law was lovely and her 5th memory was October 18th. Paulines mother in law my dear late mam was also very kind to us both. Her 12th memory will be on November 2nd. An interesting and probably true quote today. Today's food sounds good. We have never been to today's port. Prayers 🙏 offered to everyone who is unwell. Best wishes for all Dailyites to have a pain free and nice day.
  13. I'm pleased to hear how well Ryan is doing and happy for you Maryann. It is 39°F and sunny here this morning.
  14. Good morning. Clear sky and 3°C at the moment. I hope everyone has a great day.
  15. There is a phone next to the lifts which gets you straight through to a reliable taxi company most guests use. Last time there was a fixed £10 price so we didn't have to worry about being stuck in traffic and the meter running. I hope you have a fantastic cruise.
  16. I'm so sorry to hear your sad news Sue. Wednesday 18th was also Pauline's dear late mam's 5th memory. Condolences to you all. Graham.
  17. Thank you for today's daily reports. It is sunny and 54°F. There was a baptism during church service today. Today's food sounds good. We have sailed into Stockholm during our Baltic's cruise on Royal Caribbean Serenade of the seas. Prayers 🙏 for our care list and our friends in Israel and Ukraine. I hope everyone is safe and well.
  18. Best wishes Greg for a super cruise. We had our 30th wedding anniversary and first Diamond cruise on Adventure out of Malaga Spain in August 2011.
  19. I use the files on my phone too. I currently have 1929 photos in my phone gallery over the last 4 years and my phone dates each one which helps for reference. I delete my food photos after posting them on CC except the ones that Pauline and I are in. Before that I used to get the photos printed and deleted them from my phone. I used to video most of our cruises etc on our camcorder and transfer them onto DVDs.
  20. Thank you for your post Roy because I always respect what you say. I made a fun response to a fun post directed at me on today's daily and another Dailyite responded so I respectfully responded back. I didn't complain I took the fun aimed at me in good spirit. Some people take a great deal of time and effort to post for others enjoyment on here and a like is a simple thing to do. Personally I love to see interesting informative photos and appreciate the effort that goes into doing this especially if there are lots of photos. I was pleased to hear your 2 recent cruises were enjoyable and that you have another booked on Rotterdam. Best wishes. Graham.
