  1. Thank you Lenda. I called on my dad every day and Pauline came with me after work for a couple of hours every night. I paid a nephew to stay with him a 3-4 nights a week and bought them takeaway's for their tea's. Dad was so reliant on mam he was totally lost and heartbroken. He had low blood pressure so I got an ambulance and they took him to hospital. He fell and hit his head in hospital and died seconds after we got to his hospital bed.
  2. I'm so sorry to hear Ivan is unwell and hope the medications make him better. Your piece on widow/widower reminds me of my late dad who just gave up and died 4 months after my lovely mam died. You are very brave and I wish you all the best now and in the future. Your Dailyite friends Graham and Pauline x
  3. Good luck with your medical appointments Jane @Beckett. I hope your back pain eases soon. Arvia sounds a good choice for your special birthday although imo your granddaughters will prefer RCL Anthem of the sea's or any Oasis class ships. It is raining heavily here too and it is 18°C. Graham x.
  4. Good luck to Ren and his team today Sandi @StLouisCruisers. I hope you avoid the thunderstorm which is forecast for this afternoon in your area when you go for your hairdresser appointment.
  5. Good morning. It is raining and 66°F here in North East England. Thank you Rich @richwmn for producing today's reports. I last had ice cream soda about 55 years ago. Genuine refugee's need our help and support. Today's food sounds good. Prayers for the 5 people in the submarine that went down to see the Titanic 2 miles down and no word from them. I hope everyone is safe and well. Graham.
  6. My late mam and dad lived in the same house for the last 40 years of their lives and I lived there for over 10 years before I got married in 1981. I saw them every day unless we were on holiday up to their deaths and had to sell their house after dad died in 2012. We often drive past and remember.
  7. Good afternoon. It is 72°F and sunny here in North East England. We had heavy rain last night for the first time in several days. I hope everyone is safe and well.
  8. Congratulations to Ren and his team. Go Ren,good luck for tomorrow's game.
  9. Good afternoon where it is sunny and 68°F. Thank you for today's fleet reports and Daily Rich. Thanks in advance to our food and beverage and list providers. I will give today's food and drink a miss. Robert Peel was home secretary in 1829 when he created the Metropolitan police to protect the people of London under the control of the home secretary. He later became chancellor of the Exchequer and twice prime minister. I hope everyone has had a nice weekend. I wish everyone a safe and wonderful day.
  10. Fantastic news Terri. I'm really pleased for you. Graham.
  11. I hope everyone likes father David's sermon. He was sponsored to shave his beard off to put money into the church funds. We told him at church this morning he looks 10 years younger without the beard.
  12. Good afternoon. So far the predicted thunderstorms haven't appeared and it is sunny and 21°F. We had a lovely church service this morning then went to the garden centre for some summer plants. Pauline is busy planting them now.
