  1. No mention about speed traps today. The biggest eye opener was braking at 31mph you are still traveling at 8mph while at 30mph you had stopped.
  2. Personally I have always pre booked speciality restaurants online and preferred this. It is frustrating when you can pre book online now on some cruises but then get Enquire on board on others.
  3. We just did June 2nd-June 9th Fjords cruise on Britannia and had to book on board. My food photos are on the daily thread. Number 46685
  4. Thank you Sue. It is frustrating when you can book speciality on line on some ships but then have to enquire on board for others.
  5. It was last year when we were on Iona. As we have 2 future bookings on Iona and Arvia I'm pleased to hear your comments @daiB. In the last 7 months we have been on Ventura,Azura and Britannia and had to book Epicurean and Sindhu on board.
  6. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience in MDR @ccpm and those nasty passengers were disgusting treating you like that. We personally like P&O and sailing from Southampton but imo there is a big difference between the quality of food and service in the speciality restaurants and this is why we are willing to pay for that priveledge.
  7. I kept getting the message Enquire on board last year on Iona, As we have future Iona bookings thank you for your information @Jennizor
  8. Fortunately to date we have not had a problem booking Epicurean on board and often staff have moved from another ships Epicurean and recognise us. When you could pre book online people could book as many as they wanted before sailing so when you got on board the restaurants had limited availability left which is obviously what is happening with Arvia at the moment.
  9. Thank you @Eglesbrech. I absolutely agree with you.
  10. Everyone is entitled to choose what they want to do. We went into Peninsular restaurant 1 lunchtime at 12 noon just it was opening and told to stand and wait 10 plus minutes for a 2 table. I said I was partially disabled so she huffily gave us a table and said You Will Not Like This Table. Really!!! We waited 45 minutes for our soup starter which was poor. While other tables around us had their mains. My main looked horrible so I ended up going to Lido grill for a hot dog bun and chips. All of our meals and service in Epicurean and Sindhu was fantastic. I actually emailed Mr Ludlow praising our waiters in Epicurean and Sindhu and he kindly replied thanking me and said he would forward my email to the relevant people on board.
  11. Good to know Arvia let's you pre-book but on Iona we couldn't on our 2 cruises this year. We eat at 6pm and it is very quiet and usually finished by 7.30pm when most people seemed to be coming in. Personally if we were restricted in booking speciality I would just book Royal Caribbean instead.
  12. No you can't Tom. I tried every day from 14 nights from embarcation. In the last year we have been on Ventura Azura. Britannia Iona twice. We could not book on line. I booked a full cruise dining package though online on Royal Caribbean Oasis of the seas for our January 2023 cruise. I booked a 2 night Speciality dining package on MSC Virtuoso for our April 2023 cruise.
  13. @terrierjohn. We arrived 12.10pm. at Ocean terminal which was quiet. Checked in by 12.20pm. Straight through security in a few minutes and on board by 12.30pm. Royal Caribbean have mobile staff walking around the terminal checking you in. As D+ loyalty on Royal we get through quickly.
  14. We always booked Epicurean etc on line but now you can only book Limelight online. Both Epicurean and Sindhu were busy but not full every night. At £90+ per night for meal, bottle of wine and bottle of water in Epicurean and £65+ in Sindhu where you pay for individual items plus drinks there is no panic to book as soon as you board.
  15. It was a local camera van parked where it was for the first time 😭.
  16. The staff at Ocean terminal were amazing last week.
  17. My post 46685 on the daily thread shows many food photos from Epicurean and Sindhu restaurants last week Jean. The service and food was excellent. We went into Peninsula restaurant 1 lunchtime and waited 45 minutes for our soup starter which was poor. I left my main (pictured) and went to the Lido grill instead for Hot dog and chips which were nice.
  18. We were on board at 12.30pm last week and I booked Epicurean and Sindu for every night. The worry is Jean @jeanlyon that late arrivals might not be able to book speciality restaurants as all the early embarkers like Suite guests and high loyalty will book the tables.
  19. Good afternoon. It is currently 23°C in our back garden. I attended an interesting speed awareness course this morning. I learned a few things plus I kept my clean driving licence and the course was a lot cheaper than the fixed fine. I hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine and heat.
  20. We watched Below Deck SY Croatia last night and it seems exactly like your BDSY. This charter there are 9 passengers.
