Pauline and I keep ourselves to ourselves especially at Dinner and the speciality restaurants provide the ambience,table for 2 instantly where we want to sit,food quality and service to make our cruise extra special and worth the extra money to us but the food in the MDR has never been an issue for us.

I think it's because we are all lovely on here John. I'm surprised he has not sailed on P&O our favourite cruise line. It is impossible though for anyone who has never sailed on a particular cruise line to give true first hand opinions of that cruise line which is important to us in making decisions.

Good afternoon on D Day. I hope everyone is safe and having a great day. I took Pauline to the hairdresser's this morning then had my breakfast overlooking the North sea.

Good morning. Thank you for today's FR & D. 80 years today a great day in history D Day. Pauline had a hairdresser appointment first thing so I dropped her off and went to the beach to wait with a McDonald's drive thru meal. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Thank you Gill. Her uncle and lots of others were being marched between camps and as they approached a bend neither the guard at the front or the back could see all the prisoners and he and another person rolled down a hill and hid behind some bushes and the rest of the prisoners quickly filled the gap so the guards didn't know until they got back to the camp that 2 were missing. Pauline is at the hairdresser's so I called and got a McDonald's sausage and egg mcmuffin meal after dropping her off. I hope you have a lovely day. Graham x

Pauline's late dad's brother escaped a prisoner of war camp and got back to England. When he recovered he was sent to the D day landings. He survived and died several years ago.

Pauline's late dad's brother escaped a German Prisoner of war camp. He escaped when the prisoner's were being marched between camps by 2 German guard's 1 at the front and 1 at the back and on a bend they were out of sight briefly of both guards and he and another rolled down a hill and the other prisoners quickly closed up so they were not discovered until the others got to the other camp. He managed to get back to England and when he recovered he was sent to the D Day landings which he survived and he only died several years ago.

@brian1 I saw this and thought of you,Phil and your 2 lovely wives. I'm pleased you are getting good compensation.
