Good afternoon, I hope you are well and thank you for any help you can offer. I have done a lot of cruises but always Caribbean cruises and never on Princess... I have found all cruise lines to have their pluses and minus so I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on Princess? We saw a good deal for the Sky Princess Inaugural Mediterranean cruise on Oct. 20 so I bought it... so now I want to see what I paid for :p
Thank you all!

Thank you all! This has been very, very helpful!

Ya, but we also like comedians, trivia, games, etcetera :p
Not trying to down your suggestion, I appreciate it, just giving my mindset :) -
It is worth it. The general rule of thumb is that if you drink 2 drinks a day then it is worth it. If you are drinking 5 then you cover her 2 as well (plus gives her the option for upgraded juice, alcohol, ect.).

No but I might. I was avoiding it because I understand that the entertainment on MSC is almost all dance/music since it has such a diverse passenger assortment.
Thanks!

Your dinner gratuities are also paid.

We have done several cruises before including Norwegian and we think the Haven idea might be good for our dad (vision and mobility issues). We were hoping to try out some other cruise lines (Celebrity being a top pick) but Dad really needs a smaller cruising area since he cant see or walk very well. Anyone know if other cruise lines or ships have this sort of option?

Both, honestly. There wasn't a lot of off resort excursions that were interesting and the resort itself... imagine a dilapidated Disney property. It looks nice on the glance but there is no depth. Food bad. Service bad. No real entertainment

Thank you! I am honestly not sure of which ship, probably one of the Caribbean ones (since we want somewhere warm in February).

As a followup, we stayed at the Hard Rock and were not impressed at all. I haven't written my review up on them but we will certainly not be returning

Good afternoon, thank you all for your assistance! We are looking at where we should go next year and one of the big determinations revolves around my dad's health. He is a relatively healthy 65 year old... except that he has severe vision issues (not blind but not far from it) and he has trouble walking due to a bad knee/hip on one side. His concern is that we do not spend enough time as a family when we go on vacations so we were considering 2 2-bedroom rooms in the Haven side by side. I understand that there is a private pool, bar, and access to the Spa all right there.
Am I missing anything? I would like to make sure this is an awesome experience for him.
Thanks!!

Hey all, I usually cruise but this time my dad wants to try the Hard Rock in Punta Cana. I have used Cruise Critic before for some excellent advice and answers to questions and I wanted to see if it was acceptable to ask about resorts on this board or if anyone knows a similar board that I could ask these type of questions on.
Thanks all! -

Best link ever, Hoopster, TY!

Thanks to all those who offered suggestions!

We will only be there a day but I am curious as to people's favorite places to go. I am really looking more at cultural and fun places instead of restaurants.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Royal Caribbean "Freedom of the Sea" or Carnival "Carnival Glory"?
in Ask a Cruise Question
Posted
Good evening everyone, thanks as always for your help! We were planning on doing a cruise in Europe this year but due to health concerns we are going to do the Caribbean instead. We have cruised Norwegian, Royal Caribbean "Adventure of the Sea", and Disney before but never on these two ships and never tried Carnival. We like that the itineraries for these ships are in the southern Caribbean as it should be less affected by the recent hurricane and because we are travelling in October so we want to be warm.''
We are two middle aged men who are mostly interested in relaxation (shows, comedians, ect.) and food but we also like to drink while cruising so we will indulge there too.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks as always!
(I will post a link to the cruises below)
