  1. Celebrity Unlimited Internet Price is

    Num of Days Pre-Purchase On-Board

    2-3 $69 $79

    4-6 $145 $159

    7-9 $224 $249

    10-13 $269 $299

    14+ $285 $319

Classic members get 10% off, Select and higher get 25% off the above price.

And on-board usually have the special where you buy 1 unlimited package get 2nd for 50% off if purchase together. I don't know if you could stack that with captain club discount though.

  2. As usual, I cannot access anything worthwhile from their site. I can select a cruise, but it shows no cabins available, regardless of the cruise. Sad.

Me too on the "old" site using firefox browser (all cabin unavailable except for suites). On the "new" site using IE browser, I was somehow able to book a room with the 2 perks (Sea of Saving) combining with the new discount $300 cheaper... it took me all the way to the end then it has a red ! showing a line saying e-discount unavailable or something like that. I have been waiting for the confirmation email but nothing shows up yet. I wonder if I actually booked it or it fell thru....

  3. It is good that you took the offer, the box store's 2 perks are gone now even though Celebrity Sea of Saving is still going on until end of today. I think they decided to take it out early. Wonder when will be the next special offer appears on Celebrity site.

  4. We are cruising with another couple. Can we share a package. Many of our pictures will have all four of us in them.

Sent from my iPad using Forums

Yes on the unlimited package. As long as you are in the picture, you get the picture and the digital print. But the number of people in the picture cannot exceed a certain number of people to become a "group photo". We had a few pics taken on the stairs (27 people) on chic nights and those are considered group photo.

  5. Sorry to burst your bubble on this, but they are definitely saltwater pools. Filtered, but definitely saltwater.

The ship has a finite amount of fresh water they carry onboard so they would not be using it for the pools. ;p

Saltwater like sea water or saltwater like home's salt water pool? The normal salt water pool you can't even taste the salt (less salty than tears) and it is soften water better for the skin and hair.

  6. I would swap out prepaid gratuities ($189 worth) for unlimited internet for 2 in one of your 2 cabins. The unlimited internet on Celebrity is account based. So you get 2 login usernames and 2 passwords. Anyone could login with those 2 accounts. Whoever login could kick the other person out. The 2 kids could use the 2 accounts and if you need to contact them.. just login and kick one out and chat with the other who is still connected. :p Having WiFi is really good to keep in touch with the kids and to home. If you book your own tours, you could even contact the tour if you ship is running late or you have last minute question.. or they could contact you if anything is changed.

  7. What I saw in my last cruise:

Normal nights: Business Casual for people working in Tech/Engineering/Office

Chic nights: Business Casual for people working in Banking/Real Estate/Laws

A few men wore Tux.. but I think I could count them in 2 hands. This was a Caribbean cruise so it was probably more casual.

  8. I have 25 cruises under my belt and all but 2 are Carribbean. The best excursion I have ever taken has been cave snorkeling in Playa del Carmen. I booked it as an excursion for Cozumel while sailing Princess, and absolutely loved it. It was the coolest, scariest LOL (I'm a little claustrophobic) thing I have ever done. Would recommend it without hesitation.

We did the Amazing River by Playa del Carmen on Celebrity ship tour. The entire tour is undergound which is really cool and truly amazing. The best part is that it's like we got the entire cave for ourselves... we only saw the other group there once and only briefly.

  9. On our last cruise, we were on board around 12:20pm, the door to the hallway to the cabins were closed. There was a sign on the door saying rooms will be ready by 1:00pm. We were getting ready to take our carry-on to the buffet, but then we saw another guest just opened the door (it was not locked) and went in. We followed in to find our cabin. No one was around in the hallway.. use the key and the cabin door opened, cabin looked ready. We just left the carry-on and went to the buffet.

  10. In all my cruises, I've never heard this.

I have not heard this either. But I did fill out the survey.. after 10 days though. We were still on vacation for a week after the cruise, so really don't feel like doing a survey.

But we were told that the staff can only get 1 complaint. On the 2nd one, they will be gone.... mid way thru our cruise, our waiter was replaced. They said he had been reassigned to another ship, but we were not sure if he really did it on his own.. or forced off the ship.

  11. Do they take pictures when you get off at each port then print them with a special border with the port name & date? Those are my favorite.

On our Caribbean cruise they have lots of those. Not just for each port, but for specialty restaurants, chic nights as well. We got the 8 or 10 pictures package and half of them have borders.

The unlimited pictures package is really worth it if you like to collect pictures. Also, your friends will want you to be in the picture with them because if you are in it, you can get the picture (both print and digital) for free. You go visit the picture gallery every day to collect all the pictures with you in it and they will put them all inside a folder under your cabin number. At the end of the cruise, you get all of them and the digital copies. My aunt and uncle got that package and at the end they took home a stack of pictures like an inch thick.

But you need to be careful on big group pictures. If the number of people in the picture exceed a certain number (15? 20?) you don't get the digital copy.

It may be different from ship to ship, but you have go to the Gallery to find your pictures every few nights. Don't depends on the facial recognition which does not seem to work very well. It found pictures of me but not my wife even though we are in the same pictures. We missed a few pictures even though we knew we took them.. but came to the Gallery too late and they were gone from the display shelves.

  12. That's for the 2 of you right? We got it on our last cruise and it was $22 + tips per person per day so it would be about the same as yours. I think the drinks are like $4 to $6. Coffee and tea are free. I don't think we drink enough to make the package a "good deal" especially on excursion days. But it is easy because we don't have to "sign" for every drink.

  13. We had the same choice coming up on a 15N cruise and chose the Beverage & Grats perks. We figured that we would purchase the discounted (30% Elite) unlimited internet for “one” using our OBC. My DH would then use his 90 minutes and then when he ran out, would simply log in on my account, when I have signed out. Easy peasy!

    Heather

Except you don't really have to "sign out". Any other device logging in to the account have the option to "kick you out". :D My son and I had a lot of fun kicking each other out of the internet on the same account.

  14. If you are in the US, Bloomingdale's is now having their Memorial Day sales on hangbags. Use code BIGBAG. It's up to 60% off on designer bags. I don't think any ship shops would touch those discounts. Save some money for the next cruise!

  15. Perhaps I am wrong, but you mentioned no passports as well as the notarized statement question, I thought you had to have a passport to travel to Canada.

Children under 16 need only present proof of U.S. citizenship for entrance to Canada. I think Birth Certificate is enough. But I think OP is flying to an US port and there is one stop in BC on the way to Alaska.

The last few times my wife took our son out of the country, I got her the notarized letter even though we are happily married. We are a mixed race couple, our son looks more like me than her and sometime they asked.

  16. If they keep reminding us to tip over and over, then the tip gets reduced...I absolutely HATE when they start that stuff!

I have seen this the first time in Jamaica on our last cruise. Our group tipped the guides but there were 4 others from France. Only one of them speak English, but at the end of the tour, the guides just kept following them around and telling "It is customary to tip after the tour..." almost yelling at them. It was awful. I think they finally understand him or just got tire of him and tipped him. But I never seen anyone asking for tip so aggressively.
