Sorry for those that dislike the holiday and the fireworks, but we had a nice day. Started off with a nice 2 hr local town parade. Hot and muggy day in the 90s as it usually is on the 4th. Eric's Brother came over for a mini BBQ and to watch the local fireworks. The town did a 40 minute firework display, that was really nice. Then homeowners began their own displays. They are legal to buy in PA. Always amazed at how much they spend on fireworks. Traffic was insane, as usual. Town carnival began Monday night and runs thru Saturday night. We plan on going on spaghetti night that ends with a pie eating contest. Always fun to watch. Besides the heat and humidity it was a really nice Holiday. Back to work today, ugghhh!

My First Royal Caribbean Cruise!
Sunshine3601 replied to MelRandom's topic in Royal Caribbean International
You may want to consider booking a lunch at a specialty restaurant as the cost is about 1/2 the price but basically the same menu. As for refreshment package, if you enjoy fresh squeezed juices, specialty coffee, soda and bottled waters then it would probably be worth it. Otherwise, regular juice, coffee/tea, ice tea and some other juices in the Windjammer are included in your cruise fare. As for items on the cruise planner, you can purchase items such as internet, drink packages, dining packages, etc. now then when you see a sale (Hopefully Black Friday sales will be good again this year) you can cancel the item and rebook at the sale price. Or chance it and see what the pricing is for the Black Friday sale. -
Plenty of shade. I'm going to say Chill island with loungers near palm trees would be best for you.

In 2020 when we sailed Serenade to Cartagena we did the Rcl tour of the Old Walled City that included a Harbour tour. Loved touring this area. Beautiful buildings but the street vendors are really annoying. Worst I've ever experienced. Be prepared for the heat and humidity. We were there end of January and it was high 90s with humidity near 100%. The bird sanctuary, free, at the port is a must. If a coffee drinker. Try to buy some coffee in one of the small cafes. We bought several different kinds and Boy they were all the best coffee. Wish I could buy those online.
