  1. Indianna I love it !! You must never stop even if the pennies get less and the ice cream increases, they will never forget your generosity and maybe make it their ritual when they have children, I know I do stuff that my mother did for me and now I do for my children and grandchildren, ie buying first pram and first pair of grandchildren Clark’s shoes and first day of school shoes. I honestly don’t know why this is coming out underlined I’ve touched something 😂
  2. Thank you josy , I was home by 4 o’clock, it was all plain and well run I didn’t have to sit and wait to long after been checked in and speaking to the surgeon they started about 1hr and 50 minutes later , I had Endovenous laser Ablation surgery, and quite honestly I wouldn’t want it again it was quite painful even though I had local anaesthetic it was so uncomfortable I almost past out , all the preparation took 50 minutes of pain then the laser work was 10 minutes non painful, so one leg all bandage up now with a support stocking looks very hip 😂 but at least I was able to walk out of hospital to car , and plodding around today but a restful night I had and been awake since 2 this morning. Hopefully all goes well with it and no complications come in a few days so fingers crossed 🤞.
  3. Good morning all , been awake for a while too but been reading the other boards, I’m getting myself ready for a small op at 12 o’clock today just a day case and should be home before tea , weather turned out really sunny and hot yesterday here in the end after a dull grey start , supposed to be cloudy all day today so we shall see again. Have a good day everyone.
  4. That all looks very nice graham and you’re certainly getting in lots of broccoli over these past few days, stocking up for the winter immunity I see 😉
  5. I would like to ask if anyone on here has been standing in these lines outside the terminal and if so did they get in any earlier or not . Just asking nicely 🤔
  6. Well the other half has done it he ran the Bournemouth super nova 5 k run in 36 minutes, I’m very proud of him tonight after only doing 6 days of actual running, a few weeks prior he was speed walking, and decided to do this on a whim, he was worried of embarrassing himself with puffing and panting but surprised himself with the time, after his first full 5k run , now the rest of the family has said they will sign up for next year 5 or 10 k run , he’s 65 next week and I think he’s having mid life crisis 😂 seriously he got paid to do this years ago but now he’s paying to do it for fun 🤣🤣
  7. I loved the smell of spiced fruit cakes cooking , I used to make Christmas cakes and Christmas puddings years ago but not for 30 years now, but I did make a lovely Dorset fruit cake yesterday afternoon to use up a awful lot of cooking apples this year .
  8. Safe drive home Brian and I hope it’s dry all the way back , take care and rest lots 🚘🚗🛣️
  9. Good morning everyone it’s a fresh 14 and a bright sky this morning, other half is off for his last run this morning, been in training this week to do the Bournemouth 5k run along the beach, he’s gone from power walking to I want to do the 5 k run next Saturday so only started running this week 😱 but as long as he’s happy & healthy doing it I’m not worried, so that run is tomorrow night at 7 o’clock which they run in the dark with glow lights or face paints etc so I brought him a neon glow in the dark t shirt 😁. Enjoy your weekend everyone and any of this mini heatwave we’re supposed to be getting 🤔
  10. Have a fantastic cruise on Aurora and I hope the weather will be kind and sunny, we’re on her beginning of December and can’t wait, it’s been 20 years since last time .
  11. Kalos you’re certainly back to form 😂 very pleased for you and Mrs Ks recovery, not sure with the brown sauce and ketchup and mustard on a chip butty. I don’t mind gravy on my chips if eaten with a pie because it’s just like roast potatoes really but different shape, I guess I’m a bit weird when I have chips with left over chilli con carni as I put my chilli on top of my crispy chips to make them soggy, brill 😜
  12. Poor Teddy and so cute looking, my sister in law’s dog has the occasional limp that goes on for a few weeks, nothing wrong with the bones the vet said but they think his soft pads on the paw get inflamed or a small sharp stone or stick in it , she does run over moon like gravel as they live in fuerteventura and tries to catch the wee chipmunks, so when this happens they have to put a padded bandage/ sock on it , it’s always the same one though. Hope teddy’s paw gets better soon 🐶
  13. Wow Dave you do have a lot on your plate at the moment to organise, replacing new boilers is a big cost incurred at this time of year , hope it all goes well for you and everything falls into place in time .
  14. Hope it’s not for too long , please keep in touch now & again
  15. Love your breakfast morning pics Graham, just peaceful watching that sea and having a cuppa 🌞
  16. This is fantastic news for you both, love the food pics and glad you can celebrate again, it just goes to show how small we are on this earth and we should all celebrate everyday with our loved ones .
  17. A bit of blue skies and sunshine so today is salmon rolls for lunch with a bottle of bubbles down on the beach for lunch , it’s a bit fresh in the air at the moment but hopefully a bit warmer at lunch time , other half in out on his power walk now down the beach often comes back in pain 😂 I’m trying to re- learn crochet again because my 3 granddaughters are all coming round on Monday after school to start learning crochet 🫣 I’m not sure my patience is going to do this , I’ve tried to learn them knitting and only 1 of them grasp it , I’m sure it’s just a excuse for them to come round and be spoiled here and have their dinner & chocolate 😁 Have a lovely weekend everyone what ever you are doing.
  18. I was also on this cruise with you and I think he was really explaining it was a first for this new production cast who joined in Gibraltar for the first time , we we’re also on sky in June and saw the show then with Dan being the new cruise director, it was a twist of words really but he was really explaining it’s a new cast with their very first performance doing it .
  19. Josy I’m really sorry to hear all your such sad news about your family my thoughts and prayers are with you all words cannot express the sadness. I hope the neighbours house alarm gets shut of soon for you .
  20. Really pleased for you both that you eventually got away and a lovely picture of you both with a fantastic background, hope your feeling a lot better now.😊
  21. Been blowing a hughly all day yesterday and pouring rain today , weather been terrible since we got home and we didn’t bring it with us because it was all too hot and sunny when we were away . I think my other half came back with you know what !! He’s not been to well which is very unusual for him but feeling a lot better today, lots of lemonsips refused me taking a test on him but he’s stayed in since Saturday and we haven’t seen the kids yet . We put on about a stone in weight each but almost lost it all bar a few pounds now since Saturday, just goes to show how liquid can make you heavier 😂 . So pleased for your results graham and josy and my fingers are double crossed for you too Michelle, take care everyone and you too Kalos 😉
  22. Hope you feel a lot better soon Kalos and taking extra special care , also I hope mrs K is well too .
