  1. Chops +1 is up too. Only $1 from what we paid, but still.
  2. My mom and I are sailing on Mariner, June 23rd. Our e-docs and luggage tags are available today, 30 days out.
  3. Oh I am a full blown nerd. I own that lol
  4. I mean, those are the colors for Slytherin. We used blue and bronze for Ravenclaw since those are the correct colors.
  5. We do, because I am extra lol. My mom and I have matching shirts and a matching magnet for our door. Last cruise my friends and I got the same shirts, but different colors. We're all Harry Potter fans, and all in different houses, so we got the colors of our houses. Etsy is my friend lol.
  6. They changed that! Iger took back CEO and that was one of the first things changed.
  7. We just had one in March for our anniversary and it was very good. The only problem was finding the time to eat it when we weren't stuffed.
  8. For me, that would make it worth it alone.
  9. I got an $114 "upgrade" to a higher deck. Except my current is on deck 3 of the Vista and I got the 'higher' deck of deck 1... still haven't been able to figure that one out. I'd like to upgrade to a balcony, but that's $1000 more than my Ocean View this time around lol.
  10. I was able to get 2 starters-one app and one soup, but it was suggested that I only get one side with my entrees. My fellow diners had one starter and 2 sides. Either way, all 3 of us were stuffed, but we managed with the desserts. It ends up being 3 courses either way.
  11. We had FTTF on Mardi Gras, and even thought we showed up later than I wanted to (Thanks traffic) it still was helpful on disembarkation, and was a life saver when it came to guest services. Since we have a CPAP, medicine and carry-on soda (I'm a Coke Zero addict and I can't stand Pepsi) the drop off was worth the money too. Sometimes time is worth the cost. Not lugging around our bags was worth it for us too. If we were planning on getting on after 1:30, then i wouldn't get it. This was the first time that we needed guest services more than once too. Every time we just walked up and the other line was looooong.
  12. OMG same! He's like why are you obsessing over it??? Um I have an obsessive personality and DO YOU NOT HAVE AN AMAZING TIME???? HMMMMMMM?? lol
  13. I will tell you from booking a group trip that wasn't a cruise, I won't do a bulk one again without getting paid (aka giving up on my current job and becoming a TA. Not that that's happening, but still). I would absolutely go through a TA and let them deal with the headache. Smaller groups? Like I planned for my 2 friends and us for 2023, and planning a cruise with friends (4 adults and 2 teens) and I'm ok with that. But even then, all I did was help my friend with the booking, and looking into some excursions. The rest? I have anxiety thinking about it lol.
  14. Ok yes this is definitely helpful!! Thank you!
  15. Well mom shot the bid for the suite down. She wants a for sure unobstructed view and when I told her it could very well be one of the aft suites, she didn't want to chance it. Thanks ya'll! But uh-does anyone know about the "formal" nights on an 8 dayer?
  16. I’m not worried about point. Mom will likely never sail again and this is my first Royal. I don’t really care, I wanted the balcony, but this is also probably the only time I’ll get a chance to do this hahah. That’s what I figured. Guessing there won’t be in a suite either. Thank you!
  17. Yeah I think my mom is set on $300 total for the upgrade, so if we get it for that low? Cool. If not? It’ll be ok. We’re going to be sailing June 23-July 1 and I got the email on Monday, so about 60 days out.
  18. My mom and I are going to be on the Mariner in 2 months and I need some facts and opinions. We currently have an ocean view balcony, but got a Royal Up email for a chance to bid for a spacious ocean balcony which-meh-or a Junior Suite. We're not going to try for the Grand Suite, but that's there too. So first off-is it worth it to bid for a chance for a Jr Suite?? Mom agreed to $150 pp max, so that might be a moot point. I like the fact that we're on the hump of deck 7 right now with only cabins above and below us, and I think I saw the Jr Suites are on 9 (fine) or 10 (idk about being under the pools and Windjammer because noise. 2nd-I guess this doesn't matter which room, but do either the balcony rooms or the Jr Suites have outlets by the beds? 3rd-we're on an 8 night sailing and trying to figure out how many formal/elegant/dress your best (whatever they're called) are on the ship for the length, and when they might be. I'm guessing the 2nd night and the last sea day (CocoCay is our last day). Just trying to plan a little-it's my mom's first and likely only cruise, so I'd like it to go smoothly. Thanks!
  19. I used Cruise Cash last cruise as a way of saving up for my spending on the cruise. It was just easier because I bought it with discounted gift cards and knew I'd be spending it. I only ended up having like $80 charged to my credit card at the end of the cruise, so that was nice! We didn't have the drink package, so I knew I was going to be using it for some drinking. The package wasn't worth it, but adding the Cruise Cash was. Doing it again for our next cruise.
  20. It's funny because I don't normally like chocolate cake, but I like the melting cake! I don't get it every night though.
  21. Both of these have the old nights. Days 2 and 6 are still elegant, but the menus are switched. Lobster night is the 2nd night (6).
