  1. I am weighing all the pros and cons, that's why I am asking the more knowledgeable people. :) I have studied the deck plans as well.

It appears that all that's left for 3 people is balconies on deck 8 forward. Not very desirable, even though I usually think that a balcony is always better than inside. I am not so sure I'd want a balcony on deck 8 forward, because of numerous noise reports. On one hand, I'd love a balcony, on the other hand - if we can't sleep at night because of the mechanical noise, then I don't want a balcony.

We were in the inside guarantee on deck 11 right under the buffet and got upgraded (free) to OV on deck 5. My poor mom just got assigned 8003, most forward inside.

What us available to book currently now is not the determining factor in what you may or may not get as an upgrade.

  2. Our tradition is to always eat at the steakhouse on the first night. I'm not sure why, but after so many cruises it just is :-) Then if it's really good, we might go back another night during the week!

We dine at Cagney's first and last night of every cruise. Well except the couple of times we got invited to eat at the Haven restaurant the final night with the hotel director.

  3. 7-day cruise 2 people large angled balcony

  4. I wonder how they differentiate drinks.

Ie Mrs G orders a Coke, I order a Diet Coke, normally that use different straws, or two in one one in the other.

Diet in the right hand regular in the left. Works for many other situations as (EG 1 coke and jack daniels and 1 coke and jim beam) so it applies to more than just your specific instance.

  5. Also gone from Carnival. They can say it's "all about the environment," but they can't find a way around the fact it also saves them money.

Yet they still sell massive amounts of disposable diapers on every cruise. Nothing environmental about it. It is all senseless hype PR.

  6. Smoking dope is illegal in most US states (not including Colorado, etc.) Just because I go to an establishment that allows someone to smoke a joint, does not then make it allowable. It is still against the rules.

Point of order. It is still illegal in the USA and federal law supersedes state law. But then again I am still blinded by someone with no pants!

  7. This thread is just so funny. Seriously people....your cruise would be ruined because someone wore ripped jeans to dinner? You must be some sad individuals.

How exactly does it become your business what anyone wears? Don’t you know that the Fashion Police was cancelled after Joan Rivers died?

This thread makes me want to wear ripped jeans, a barely there tank top with a baseball cap & flip flops to LeBistro and watch the show of people dropping dead in their bowls of onion soups so I can post the videos on here and let everyone know that it is now safe to wear what you want without worrying about useless threads such as this one,

If I look at you in the 'wrong way' while you are dining dressed as such are you going to file sexual harassment charges against me or will I merely be blinded similarly as if I saw PATRLR with no pants? :D

  8. No thanks. While I too might be in jeans if it was cold (I don't bring any pants on warm weather NCL cruises), you don't seem like the type of person who's company I would enjoy.

Surely you brought SOME pants. I know for a fact that they do not let you go around the ship bottomless and swim suits are absolutely not allowed in most dining areas. Gak the very thought has blinded me, no pants!

  9. OP, I agree with others who have said you might not be able to go to dinner in those jeans, lunch should be OK. Try one night and see, if you have to change it will only take a few minutes. As for the fashion element, ripped jeans are not my cup of tea but then again I'm old and still waiting for Leisure Suits to come back into fashion. :D

At least you didn't say Zoot Suits! (I wonder how many are jumping over to Google as they read this!) :o
