  1. I'm so happy for you that access was not restricted. From previous posts I know how much you were looking forward to the hors d'oeuvres before dinner.
  2. I am one of the people for whom it would be a concern and would not want to book a balcony guarantee. I've read that a balcony cabin in Central Park has music playing in the early evening and that it is possible to enjoy it from ones balcony. (but not if there is competition from a loud TV speaker at one end of the park) Just would like some firsthand knowledge if anyone has experienced the noise issue while sailing in that cabin category.
  3. Does Allure have a large screen TV visible from Central Park/Boardwalk balconies? I've heard that the sound from the TV can be very loud. (even with balcony door closed) Any one with first hand info about this concern?
  4. I don't eat the tiny wrapped hotdogs. What I will miss if the current access changes is being able to drop by prior to late dinner at 8:00 and mingle with other guests and have a dedicated space where I feel like my loyalty had been recognized.
  5. Again, thank you so much for your Diamond support and phone number and email address you provided. I plan to follow-up with with both. Please let us know if you receive a response to any of your correspondence.
  6. As a current Diamond with a long way to go to Diamond+, I appreciate your fight for our right to continue our use of the Diamond/Crown lounge during HH. As we often cruise with friends that are Diamond+, we often meet in the lounge before dinner for a few drinks/snacks. We're comfortable there catching up on the days activities. I hope that we will continue to be able to do so in the future.
  7. My sentiments exactly. Am I going to quit cruising with Royal. No way, but as Sea Dog, I am extremely disappointed. I hope Royal reconsiders.
  8. Is there an alternative place to look if there is no access to the app?
  9. Can anyone book the F&F rates or do you have to be traveling with someone in the travel industry? Is there a specific phone number to call to make a booking using these rates?
  10. I'm sorry to hear that deck 7 corner afts now require 3 to book. We had a corner 7 aft on Freedom and loved the huge balcony. (we were a party of 2) IMO the JS are not worth the extra money as they are only a little wider than regular balcony cabins. Keep the aft!
  11. Any idea if the bed is by the bath or window in forward facing cabin 9500 on Utopia of the Seas?
  12. Thank you so much for the above information. I'm going to take a look at these companies today.
  13. Can you share which companies allow policies to be obtained at final payment that waive pre-existing conditions? I just booked Utopia of the Seas for Nov. 2024 but would prefer to wait and purchase a policy closer to the travel date. All of the companies I have checked so far require purchase w/i 14 days of deposit to cover a pre-existing condition. Thanks.
  14. For those like me who might want to sit on the balcony and read during the day, how much time is devoted to screen time and or noise? Any first hand knowledge if you can hear the screen speakers during the day or at night with the balcony door closed?
  15. May I ask what the reason was ......(not so much on the Wonder.) Noise?
  16. Crewsweeper, Can you please identify what the noise might be from decks 9 and 20 that you mentioned?
  17. Researching a Central Park balcony booking for May 28 Wonder sailing. We have always cruised in an ocean facing cabin on Oasis ships but decided we may try a Central Park cabin because of a great rate on this sailing date. My concern is noise from what I have read is a very loud movie/video screen somewhere above these cabins. Can someone who has sailed on Wonder address this noise concern? Would a certain deck and/or cabin location be quieter than others in this category? Not sure exactly where this screen is located.
  18. Thanks so much for responding. It's always nice to have first hand information on a cabin I am considering. In regard to cabin 9108...by chance did you notice if there is what might be a crew door to a stairway or a steward supply cabinet that would have been between 9108 and 9120 which is the first cabin on the port side? Just wondered if you experienced any noise issues. Thanks again for taking the time to post your information.
  19. Wow, interesting photo. Are these one of the two forward facing connecting cabins in 4N? If so, how do they connect in the hallway?
  20. Thanks Jenny. Since the cabin is forward facing, your explanation regarding the angle makes sense.
  21. Thank you for the stock photo. Can anyone reply to the question regarding the forward facing cabin obstruction or the question about a possible noise issue addressed above?
