    Good evening Tribe,

I have been following along all week but didn't get to posting.

Pretty busy week for me and here on on the thread.

Thoughts and prayers for those struggling with anything; we all have them but that doesn't make it any easier. Sounds like everyone is doing their best. Life sucks sometimes.

Continued safe and fun travels for those currently cruising!! I am jealous.

Right now starting Friday HH...with wine and appys.

Happy to hear those booking cruises in the future, all the way out to 2026! I am not that organized.

I do have a couple of cruises booked for Winter 2025; 28-day to Amazon and 21 day Caribbean. I like the long cruises and since I am now retired I can go.

Have a good WE everyone and take care. 😎

I’m ready for 28 day cruises lol

So for those that have been on the Carnival Jubilee:

What's the vibe on that Southern Landing Aft Patio Pool area since I have an Aft Extended Balcony?

Poor Man's Havana Pool Deck or crowded and boring?

It’s pretty laid back. I’ve seen a lot of kids back there though.

Do you know when they will publicly release their itineraries? I'm flexible on cruise line for Alaska. Port stops, timing, and good food are my priority!

The NY, MIA, and LA itineraries are out in Canto. The Alaska itinerary is delayed. It might come out May 8th with the FRONT(ier) passed or it could be later.
the food part, I’d definitely recommend Virgin. Best food I’ve had at sea.

I've been on two Alaskan cruises. The first was a girls' trip back when I was single, the second was with my family when Andrew was 12. Both have been my absolute favorite cruises of all. I was so happy to go back and see it all again with my family.

There’s no way it will be my favorite cruise of all. Let’s not get crazy. The sheer amount of clothing I’ll have to wear to be comfortable will downgrade it by 10%. 😉 My dad is going to go with us & maybe some of his siblings. My brother in law as opted out for him & my sister. He says the flight is too long. I’m jumping on a 3hr & 50 min nonstop on Alaska airlines… that doesn’t seem that long to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's Brilliant though. She's going to be on my side of the states. Easy to get to. Mexico or Alaska on the new ship? Sure!

Do it! She’s highly anticipated and kid free. I need her! LOL I’m also looking at the Panama Canal sailing.

Megan, hope you are doing well.  The weather has just been crazy these last few years.  I fear that this summer we will be under a constant hurricane watch down here in St Thomas.  No fun and lots of stress.  Wish I could just go away for the summer/fall, but then, I think, I would worry more!  Hang in there!!

Oh I hope not but I’ve heard since it’s an El Niño year things are worse. I’m pretty tired today, but today is supposed to be worse. I kept saying you know who isn’t in a storm shelter with their kids for an hour… people in Bimini.

  7. What a fun night! We were under a tornado warning for over 2 hours. At one point, there were two tornados within 20 minutes from my house. With the closes being a “dangerous, violent tornado” 10ish miles away. It was observed to be a half mile wide and then rain wrapped. It was headed for Chattanooga, I can see Chatty from my house, but then hooked north and back west and dissipated. We were sheltered for an hour because it was moving at 10 mph. Slowest. Tornado. Ever. Winds at 160 mph.

They're going to have their vehicle...I smell a party ride!

Now we'll just need to hire a driver...

Little FYI for all you flyers… parking is crazy expensive everywhere in Galveston. If the airports weren’t so far away, I’d think about flying in.
also, note that the airport is far away. Consider a shuttle instead of car services.

Do you have a favourite place to stay? Galveston is new for us. 😀

Normally out of Galveston we cruise with our kids and there’s only like 3 places on the seawall with hotel rooms for 5…😆 so we’ve been staying a lot at the Clarion Pointe. We’ve stayed at Gaido’s and it’s like retro, old school motel, beach themed with an amazing breakfast included. I really like the Doubletree Seawall or the Holiday Inn Galveston Beach. I’m sure we will go to The Spot the night before and have some daiquiris or 4.
