  1. Does anyone know if you can use AT&T on Ocean Key with their $10 international day pass? Thank you.
  2. Place it on your cabin door, upside down, and you will make plenty of friends on your next cruise. 😂
  3. Does Odyssey require booking the shows like the Oasis class ships? Thank you.
  4. Another thing to consider is how many ships are in port that day. And what ships are they. You could easily have Wonder and Odyssey there, which is well over 10,000 guests, and you can expect the lines to be very long, thus not getting as much "sliding" time. On the other hand, your ship could be the only one in port, and it would be less crowded thus more "sliding" time. Either way, $200pp is a rip off IMO!
  5. But one of them is a transatlantic, back to the states. I personally don't see that as charter material, but maybe I am wrong.
  6. All 4 cruises are in fact showing back up today... but all say sold out. No way... I'm just not believing it.
  7. This makes me wonder if this is the reason it was in the "revenue department".
  8. November 3rd, November 16th and November 23rd.
  9. Well that is a good sign. Now maybe the other 3 will pop up soon!
  10. Keep in mind, this is 4 sailings in a row, covering October 23rd - November 30th. I don't see that being a charter, but maybe I am wrong.
  11. Just spoke with Celebrity and they informed me that the "revenue department" has these 4 sailings on hold temporally, and that they should be back. Definitely odd.
  12. Thanks for the info. That is great news, as we are looking to book one of the missing sailings.
  13. So the missing sailings should return on their website?
  14. I am showing November 3rd as a 13 day Transatlantic back to Lauderdale, then November 16th a 7 day and November 23rd a 7 day... but none of these are on Celebrity's site, or any other site to book. I find it hard to believe that these 3 cruises, in a row, are sold out over a year and a half out.
  15. I guess the timing would be about right. Also, the amount of time that is missing is roughly 3-4 weeks, and it is currently oversees doing itineraries, so makes sense to dry dock before coming back to the states, being all the shipyards are over there. I wonder if anyone can confirm this.
  16. Does anyone know what is going on with Apex in October and November of 2024? The last cruise you can book in November is October 12th, and the other sailings are not listed until November 30th. Dry dock already? Thank you.
  17. I would disagree, as I have seen discussion on Reddit, etc on this. However, I do agree with you that people do just play, but I am just wanting to make sure we bring enough cash, and just wanted some peoples thoughts. At the end of the day, some probably just spend whatever and it happens, but I am sure some also looked at what it cost them, as they are doing it strictly for the benefits for ROI purposes. I personally fall in between.
  18. Thanks. Any idea the bank roll, or out of pocket "average" to achieve prime? I see many examples on the internet, and was just wondering what people are here think or average.
  19. I have been looking into the Royal Caribbean Casino Royale club and have done some digging around the internet to try to determine what the "average" out of pocket cost is to hit Prime status. While I know this varies greatly on what machines, etc., but I have read some posts that it generally will cost between $1,500-$3,000. I have even seen some on the internet saying as much as $5,000. Is there an average, or can some of you share your personal experience? Also, if we are to join Prime, is there a better time of the year to do this, based on the yearly calendar that they use? Thank you.
  20. Here is a picture of actual cabin 12727 on Oasis.
  21. Yes, please let us know your findings. Hopefully it is getting better.
  22. Being in Supply Chain for the past 10 years, here is my personal opinion on the cruise ship food decline. 1) Cruise lines lost a ton of money during COVID and now they are trying to cut costs everywhere to make up for that. 2) Many ships are still understaffed, thus the employees they currently have are trying to do the work of a fully staffed group. 3) Newer employees. Since the shutdown of COVID, many employees HAD to find other jobs during that time to support their families. There are many that decided not to return when the cruises started running again, because they were forced to find income locally, which who wouldn't want to be at home with your family more. So they are taking whoever they can get, while they may not have the same experience. Pre-COVID, most of the employee's have been working on these ships for years and years, thus overall tenure is probably down, resulting in lower experience in employees. 4) Inflation... while everything is more expensive, the cruise lines are charging more and providing less, which sums up the item listed in #1. 5) Suppliers are trying to combat inflation with lower quality products as well, similar to the shrink-flation issue. While I am not saying that I agree, or disagree, with the route the cruise lines are taking; I understand the problem as I see it. I also think it has a lot to do with the officers, from the captain, all the way down. If you have officers that accept this lower quality, then it will become the norm on that ship. Example being, we were on Allure and the Windjammer was probably the worse we ever had. Since that cruise, we went on Serenade and Explorer, and had the best Windjammer experience that we have ever had. My point is, quality can very from ship to ship as we have personally seen. My hope is that everything starts to normalize and improve with time, as the above conditions improve.
  23. Exactly. CC has essentially sold themselves. I haven't seen anyone elated with VV, and most are negative on them. There are also several people on YouTube that are getting free, or discounted cruises lately to help promote them. If you watch the videos, there are barely any people on their ships. And they have 2 more ships coming out this year? Yikes!
