  1. I sailed 10 times in the Haven and six times in the YC. One issue that’s been discussed on the MSC forum is the concept of exclusivity. When you’re sharing the ship with non Haven, or non YC passengers it’s easy to administer exclusive perks - priority embarkation and disembarkation, priority tendering, exclusive theatre and restaurant seating, etc. But when the whole ship is exclusive how are they going to prioritize exclusivity. I’ve never sailed on any of the high end lines and wonder how they do it to keep everyone happy.
  2. Thanks for the responses. That’s the exact information I need.
  3. Does NCL offer bus transfers from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal to Newark airport?
  4. The reason I asked the question was because I purchased Vibe passes on a 15 day Panama Canal cruise on the Bliss in January (well worth it). I just booked a nine day east coast cruise on the Joy and noticed that the price had increased, based on a per day calculation. What happened was that between those cruises NCL devalued the Canadian dollar, so I was paying more in Canadian dollars even though, l believe, the price in American dollars had remained the same.
  5. Unfortunately, I don’t think Don Julio 1942 Tequila is available anymore. If the OP enjoys beer I would try Chimay beer, either white label or red label, in the District Brew House. They also have a couple other abbey brewed beers that are more than $15. We enjoy the Champagnes either Veuve or Pommery. I would recommend Zacappa rum in Mojitos or Pina Colodas and if you like dessert wines try the Inniskillin ice wine.
  6. I look at it this way. I just want to know if the cost of Vibe passes have recently increased.
  7. Have Vibe prices recently increased.
  8. Please report back. I’m on the Joy on April 15.
  9. You are incorrect. Depends on the ship.
  10. Yes, that’s my point. The Shareholder Benefit and Latitude perks are both NCL sponsored reward programs. The shareholder benefit program acknowledges the longer cruise and gives you a larger benefit but it doesn’t give you more Latitude perks. I don’t care how you frame it, it doesn’t seem consistent to me.
  11. I haven’t registered for it yet, but I will now. See you there. I’ll be wearing a Buffalo Sabres shirt (please no disparaging comments, it’s really hard being a Sabres fan).
  12. Not in the Haven. It’s the responsibility of the butler to service the Nespresso machines.
  13. I’m on the Joy in three weeks for the 12 day Southern Caribbean cruise. Maybe we can meet for a drink and discuss the topic further, lol.
  14. Yes, I fully understand that, but my point is there should be additional perks for longer cruises. Let’s say someone does a B2B2B. Assuming they are Platinum or above the cabin will be entitled to six specialty restaurant meals with three bottles of wine, six bags of laundry, three servings of chocolate covered strawberries, three wine tastings, three ship tours etc. If you book one cruise rather than three, with the same number of nights, you get 1/3 of those perks. I think that’s unfair.
  15. On this particular cruise, the price per day is roughly equivalent to the price per day for a seven day cruise.
  16. Yes, your Latitude perks will be doubled. That’s my point. Why wouldn’t you get extra perks (we are Diamond) if you’re on for three weeks.
  17. Thinking of taking a 21 day Panama Canal cruise next year but wonder why you get the same perks as a seven day cruise. Just doesn’t seen fair.
  18. We never use our butler. We give them $50 for delivering snacks and replenishing our coffee capsules.
  19. I understand what you’re saying. I think most people would understand that to mean it was an included perk. That’s really misleading and misrepresenting the product.
  20. That’s what I thought, but it clearly states on the web site that it’s a perk.
  21. I was just about to answer your question with a “it’s not a perk” statement, but decided to check the web site. You’re right, it is listed as an amenity, both 24 hour room service and continental breakfast. I know it wasn’t included in our past two cruises in January on the Bliss and February on the Joy, both in Club Balcony suites. Maybe NCL’s amended the perks.
  22. We’ve sailed in the YC on the Seaside, Seashore and Meraviglia and I’m fairly certain we had at least one lounger on all the balconies.
  23. We’ve had no problems requesting and getting lounger(s) on all our YC cruises.
