  1. Countdown to begin. Staring to lay out clothing in our spare room. Trying not to over back as we are taking the bus. If it's a nice day we walk to the port. We do get some free laundry but I don't like sending my clothes out. My husband does send out T shirts and shorts.

We will see the people doing the Cooking,Coffee and Casa on Tuesday at 3:300 at the Atrium bar. Anyone can join us sort of and unofficial meet and greet.

    Hi Donnamarieisme!

We're almost at a month out!

I haven't seen anything about a meet & greet, although I also am new to Carnival (except for one in 2009). The vast majority of my 25+ cruises have been on Royal Caribbean, and they stopped the official Meet & Mingles after Covid, and I don't think they've reinstated them. In the past I had organized some M&M, especially on cruises under 7 days where RC didn't do them, but being so new to Carnival, and especially wanting to spend time exploring a brand new (to me) ship, and the Terrazza area (we splurged on a premium cabin since we're celebrating my hubby's retirement, birthday, and our anniversary all in one).

There are 3 different pages for our sailing on another major social media platform. Don't ask me why - I've never seen that before where at least they didn't try to merge to make just one. Too confusing. Between the 3, there are about a dozen events planned, one being a Meet & Greet on Monday 4/15 3pm at the Rococo Bar on deck 10. From there they plan to head to the sailaway party. I would like to do that but am keeping my schedule fluid depending on what we're feeling like at the time. I DO plan to be at the sailaway party though I might have to fight hubby on that. The sailaway at the Terrazza deck looks like it will be lovely, but I think I have to dance for sailaway, so I'll be wherever that is.

I sometimes think of myself as a little old white-haired lady, but I take soul line dancing classes, and when I pretend I don't have 2 left feet I think I'm pretty good at it...lol!

Planning on doing sailaway. also plan on dancing! Love to dance especially when know one is watching LOL

We're doing a small informal M&G (previously mentioned) for the handful of us that booked the Dominican Culture (cooking, coffee & casa typica) from Amber Cove so we'll start that excursion out feeling part of a group.

  3. We are also celebrating our anniversary on the second day of the cruise. We booked the same excursion and it 's for 9:30. It will be great to be on an excursion with our cruise critic friends. Ed and I (Lynn) are in our young 70's.

We should plan to meet up prior to the excursion. Any suggestions where to meet on the ship.

we have late dining. A pre or post drink somewhere sounds good.

Thanks delacruz, regarding the umbrella rental on HMC. I know there is no shade there, unless your at the bar. ordering one today!

  4. We are deciding on what specialty restaurants to do. Generally, we do at least one of two. We have done the Chef Table on the Pride last year. If you want a wonderful dining experience do it. We will be celebrating our Anniversary our second day on board. Think we will may book he steak house. Never have done it but hear it is one of the best Steak Houses of all the lines. We cruise Royal, Celebrity, NCL and Holland. We are constantly ask which line we like best. Our answer is the one were on now. They all have things we like. We love Comedy Shows and that why we like Carnival. We have booked two excursions, Fast Cat to Honeymoon Beach/Water Island. This will be our third time doing this. In Amber Cove Cooking,Coffee and Casa. PR we will walk around and get a Pina Colada. HMC and Grand Turk will be beach day. We are doing late dining, we did try anytime on the Pride and it just didn't work out for us.

  5. Yikes I really started something by asking a simple question. Some people can be rude.  My grandsons will have long pants.  Sometimes things happen, luggage not delivered, returning late from an excursion etc. We don’t want them miss the dining experience in the main dining room.
Thank you all for your responses.

  6. I am hearing that YTD if your not linked to other cruisers they will sit you only with your party. My party is myself and husband. The cruise was booked prior to the pandemic and we had looked forward to sitting with new people each evening. Does anyone know the facts?

  7. Thanks for the info. Our cruise leaves from Vancouver and returns to Whittier. Guessing we only need to fill out ArrCan once, when crossing the boarder by bus from Seattle.

  8. On a tour bus starting in Seattle. Crossing the boarder and go to Vancouver to board our cruise. Wondering how to fill out ArriveCAN. Was told by our group to fill out address of cruise port in Vancouver. Doesn’t make sense to me,
