Someone asked about movies. So I would assume they show movies. Where do they show them?

Happy to hear such good reports about MDR food. We cruised on the Grandeur last March and didn't have a problem hoping for the same this March.

I hope RCCL is reading. I have been reading many posts and reviews regarding food in the main dining room. Many have been complaining that the food is not hot and is been declining in taste and quality. I do realize that food is subjective and the line is serving masses of people. But my gosh can't they work on some of these problems. We aren't expecting gourmet food in the MDR. At least the food can come our hot and tasty. Hey I am happy not to have to cook while vacationing!!!! We cruise several lines and are hoping that our Grandeur MDR will serve us hot tasty food.

Do they show movies on the Grandeur? If so do they have a movie theater or do they show them in the main theater? I love going to the movies on a cruise when we have lots of sea days.

I believe its only open at night. That's what I remember from our Sept 2015 cruise.

Last March I signed up but never got an invite. Went down to guest relations and they told me when and where. No problem attending without and invitation.

A CC friend got me hooked on BBC's on the Grandeur last March. Very yummy!!!!

So excited just became Diamond!!!! Going on the Grandeur of the Sea in March. Went to the C&A section to see what benefits we will receive. I know about the Diamond Lounge but interested if there are any dining benefits attached to Diamond. Specialty restaurant discounts etc. Last yr while on the Grandeur we did the 3 meal special. Did the Chef Table, Chops and Giovanni's. Booked as we boarded Don't want to book anything if there are any discounts at Diamond level. Also read about a Chef snack and gift. What's up with that. Any information would be appreciated with this level on the Grandeur.

I did try the beef cheeks on last yrs Oct. B2B. Everyone at our table laughed at me when I ordered. I always try new things on a cruise. Yes. the cheeks were tender and beefy. Glad I tried them but not a real fan.I am DEFINITELY going to try the beef cheeks on our next cruise! B2B on the Summit Oct. 18! -
Just off the Breakaway on Sunday. It seemed like all our OBC was non refundable. We had $50 from TA and $100 as a NCL shareholder both showed up on our account as non refundable. Onboard you can see your account on your TV. Well at least on the Breakaway. This credit can not be used for daily service charge:mad:

Very confused we are a party of 3 and received $50pp dining credit for the first 2 guests in our cabin. Was originally told we had to wait to make reservations till we were on board. We are sailing in a week and I decided to try to make reservations for the free dining. Well the specialty dining showed up as $0. So I went ahead and made reservations. No payment or credit card was required???? Whats up with that. I always thought you had to pay in advance? Also some of the restuarants free and specialty didn't have an option for a table of 3:confused:Anyone run into these situations?

On classic pkg. what is the allowable price for wine by the glass? Is that up to $9 too?

Just wondering what time the safety drill is on departures from San Juan. We leave at 8:30pm.

Confused about non refundable and refundable credit. How do you know the difference. Received some OBC from TA, and some for owning NCL stock. Also received dining credit on a promotion. /SIZE]

We found sea glass last October. We walked out of the port area and went left walking along the water. After passing the fish market we found the sea glass around the sea wall. Not the nicest beach but found lots of glass.

We are cruising on the Breakaway in Sept. I am wondering about how hard it is to get reservations at Le Bistro for our comp. meal. I was told we need to book this after we board. This is my first time cruising platinum and don't know how this works. Help please:)

Just wondering what the cost of the Specialty restaurants are on the Breakaway? I thought I read somewhere that they were recently increased.

Did you find it easy to get a cab to Screw's Spa? Did they come back for you? Cost of cab would be helpful and how much time did you spend at the spa. Trying to get a group from our roll call together. We went to screw spa and loved it. It is hot sulfa pools in the rain forest owned by a man named Screw. There were six pools varying from hot to cold and had Caribbean music piped in to the trees in the rainforest. -
Just read your post. I am traveling with my mom and sister. We will be each be using our own credit card. Just want to confirm that the daily service charge for each of us goes on our own credit card and just not one. Have done this several yrs ago without a problem but things are always changing. We have had 3 of us in the cabin and each used our own credit card at check-in. No billing issues whatsoever. -
Received specialty dining credit when I booked. Was told I can only book restaurants onboard when using this credit. Just wondering if anyone recently had problems using and getting reservations. We are sailing on the Breakaway in September.

We had dinner with Hugo once on the Dawn many yrs ago. We enjoyed dining with him. Several yrs later we reconnected with him on the Breakaway. He remembered us and sent us an invitation to eat at Cagneys. We were pleasantly surprised. We will miss him.

Does NCL charge the same price as if you purchased off the ship?

Thank you for taking the time to post about your cruise on the Grandeur. We cruised on the Grandeur last March and had a great cruise. Cruising again in less then 2 months and hoping for the same great cruise.
I do have a question about dining packages. Do you know if they offered one on board that included the Chef's Table? We did that last March and booked onboard for a great price.
