I have driven over the bridge a few times! Very long and was a bit scary the first time!

We originally booked a NS on our 7 day cruise to Alaska because we wanted a balcony. . After checking more, I realized that the Vista cabins had balconies! For a week cruise, free laundry didn’t matter, nor did a special lounge or concierge. our TA managed to change our cabin and keep all the original amenities we had with HIA. plus it saved us almost $3000! I was always told once you had a Neptune Suite, you’d never want anything else! So figured we would forgo one😊

We were on the NA for our last cruise and agree with one poster above that having the Explorations Cafe in the Crows Nest wasn’t great. We enjoyed the rest of the ship. In June, we will be boarding the Zaandam. I know there is no NY pizza or BB Kings but that isn’t a problem. What we like Is the fact that there are less people on the ship and most reviewers like the food and the staff! That alone is worth it!

We have gone in June and early Sept. We prefers June. Longer days, better weather and lots of snow in the mountains. Sept was rainier with shorter days but we still enjoyed it. We are returning again this June!

We booked directly with Harv&Marv in Juneau. Only 8 people on the boat. Saw humpbacks, eagles and orcas😊

Use a TA that knows Alaska.If there are any problems, they can take care of it easier than you can.

We did b2b in 2022 from Vancouver to Whittier and back to Vancouver. Same ship, same cabin!

Walking to Nugget Falls is more like taking a walk than it is hiking! We came back partially along the water and it was flat! There are usually lots of people so bears tend to stay away. If you come across one, just stop and let them pass. Well worth the walk!

I heard back from my TA and she got us changed to a Vista Suite and we still have all the perks we had on our original booking🥰🥰 excursion credits, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, drink package and crew appreciation! Very happy ,

This may seem foolish but wanted to know if anyone has changed from one cabin class to a lower cabin class after booking their cruise? Not realizing that a Vista suite on the Zaandam had a balcony, I booked a Neptune suite. (Hubby insists on a balcony for Alaska)! I realize now that we can have a balcony with a Vista and the cost would be close to $3000 less! I know we wouldn’t get all the perks that come with the Neptune but it is only a 7 day cruise and don’t really need the extras! Just a cabin with a balcony! Everything else on our booking would stay the same as far as excursions, dates, flight, etc. Just a different cabin category.

Does HAL do a Covid test in between the b2b cruises? We are doing Vancouver, Whittier, Vancouver and not sure if we have to test in Whittier and if HAL does it or we are on our own.
