  1. Is there a different professional photographer that does the private sessions or is it one of the staff that takes the daily pictures:confused:

    ---------/////-----/////-----/////-----

I believe ech ship has their own Dream photography photog.

Ours was exceptional. I can't get over how amazing the pics are.

What I thought would be simple plain photos turned into extraordinary photos.

If anyone has the chance, they should do this,at least once.

  2. I think you got a good deal! One of the things you were paying for was the cost of "opportunity". Here you are on a cruise ship with a pro photographer at your avail; that's worth something. Getting the CD is what really seals the deal.

Was the canvas just one, single photo, or a montage of them? I take it they gave it to you rolled up for mounting at home?

Great decision to do this on your part. Memories like this at such a location are priceless, and in years to come that $999 will look like pocket change, and one helluva bargain!

    --------------------------------------///------------////////---------_\\\\\\\

The canvas is of a single photo.

I agree that this was well worth the money.

You can't put a price on a great memory and we will have these memories and pictures for a lifetime.

I had already planned on spending serval hundred but when I saw the pictures and then the Book!

The book was what sealed the deal!

  4. The packages start at $509 this includes 15 pics and a smaller size canvas print. Not exactly sure of the canvas size .

The next tier is the $799 package this includes all photos and the disk with all photos . This is the copyright so you can make your own prints.

The full package is $999and includes all prints , we had 40, a nice coffee table book with customized pics on all pages, the disk with photos and a 30x50" canvas

I was initially told that the prints cost $34.95 each if purchased separately. But I was never given that option.

Although after seeing all the photos I wanted to purchase the entire package.

The pics are that good in person and I love the book.

  5. We ate atCapitano del Cucina 4 nights and at the Steakhouse one night. The other 2 nights we ate at the main dining room. We had anytime dining, I will admit to us having 2nd supper a few nights. Lol

We would go to the main dining too for coffee and dessert a few nights. This became our 2nd supper.

We only had pizza twice and ice cream twice at the buffet.

The chocolate extravaganza was on Saturday at noon in the buffet area.

One night they had a Fiesta Deck party and a mexican buffet.

Another night was the Red frog pub deck party .

All of the comedians on the ship were excellent. We went to their shows every night.

The lines do get very long so get their early to insure you get a seat.

The Magic doesn't have an Alcheny Bar. This is a disappointment .

The shops had the usual watch sale, "pandora like" bracelet sale, they also now have a

Boxed necklace set sale. Also the $10 shop is slim pickings now. Only 4 diff colors of pashminas. I remember when they had every color you could imagine. I love my pashminas from old carnival ships? Now thinly colors are black, gray, red and fushia.

The evening backs aren't in many colors either. Only black, white, silver . I didn't see any animal print bags or cute designs a in years past. I know, who care right ? I do. I used to love buyingAll the $10 items I don't need. Lol

They also had a few diff designs of sun hats and beach bags.

  6. In Nassau we went to the Hilton. It is about 4 blocks from the pier and an easy walk.

It cost $65 for a day pass and $40 of that is a food and drink credit. We went there last year also.ImageUploadedByForums1401083660.120977.jpg.b1407d06b0b0b31aee14715e40053024.jpg

After the hilton we walked a block to Señor Frogs for a little fun, nachos and a drink.

Always a great time at this location.

  7. We arrived in Galveston on Friday May 16th and stayed at the new Courtyard by Marriott . We had a double queen room with an oceanview. It is a very nice hotel. No complaints. We went to see 2 movies while in Galveston and shopped , getting our mani/pedis. Drove to Friendwood to the Baytown mall and did some shopping.

We always park with Lighthouse and they were great again this year. We arrived at the lot Sunday at 10ish. We were quickly taken to the pier and since we are platinum we had a quick check in. We were on the ship before noon.

Went to our cabin to drop off the carry ons then to the buffet for lunch.

Our luggage arrived before 2pm. We were unpacked before going to muster drill in the theatre.

Our cabin was once again on the Spa deck most last cabin on the starboard side closest to the waterpark. 12044. Quiet location. No noise from our one neighbor. Only noise was from dragging chairs above. But this doesn't bother us.

Took some sily pics in the cabin and then stopped but the Red frog for my first drink.

Then out to the deck for a few Fun ship Specials.

  8. As promised I am posting a few of the pics from my daughters private photo session thru Dream photography on board the Magic. Gabor was our photog and he was awesome. I ended up spending $999.00 and bought the entire package. To me, it is worth the money.

  9. Can you purchase wifi for an iPad while on the ship?

If so, can you use it on more than one device?

Me and my daughter are taking our iPads and wondering

If this service is available and the price.

I know you can purchase internet to use their computers.

    Thank you

  10. Enjoying your review. We are going to the same ports. We absolutely loved our time in Freeport. We booked a snorkel and private beach excursion with Pat and Diane (we went on the same last year). This was one of the best times we have had on a cruise excursion. If you ever go to Freeport again, you may want to book with them.

In Nassau we walked about 4 bus to the Hilton and spent the day at the hotel pool and beach. Great time.

We want to do Parasailing in Key west, can you tell me who you used?

    Thank you.

  11. A few questions

Your time advantages vs 6 :00 trditional

Do you like on dining room better than another one?

On demarcation day is the ocean plaza opened for dining for lunch?

What movies are showing by the pool?

Which shows are not to be missed?

Which food isn't to be missed.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We always have any time dining and have never had to wait for a table.

We always go early usually standing in line when the doors open at 6:00pm.

Only one dining room does anytime dining so that is the one I have seen.

The movies by pool side depend on what is available on dvd and there isnt anyway to tell what will play on your sailing. Last cruise they played a few newer releases as well as Toy Story and older movies.

The Magic Shows are usually very entertaining. We also love the Comedy

Club and go every night to check out atleast one of the Comedy shows.

The Legend Talent show the last night is always a good choice.

The dining room food I love is the Spaghetti Carbonara. It is offered on the first formal night. Also love the creme brulee'.

The bbq ribs are good and so is the fried chicken.

The Steakhouse is absolutely wonderful. Similar to Ruths Chris.

Cucina el Capitano is also excellent. We already have reservations for 2 nights there and 1 night at the Steakhouse.

    Hope this helps

  12. We always make reservations before we our cruise. Sometimes the Steakhouse fills up and we want a specific time that may not be available if we didn't make reservations I

    In advance.
