  1. How many photos did you get for $1000? Do you remember how much the other smaller packages were? Our son and his wife might be interested on their upcoming cruise?

    ##################################################

For $1000 , I recd all photos taken, probably close to 40.

All photos on a disc with the copyrights included. A beautiful coffee table photo book(this is what sold me) and a Large canvas of the photo of my choice. The canvas is large enough to hang over the fireplace.

You were allowed to purchase photos separately. I think they cost $30each

The next package was $500, with this package you recd all the 8x10 photos

For $750 you recd the photos and the copyrights and cd

For $1000 , you recd what I stated above.

I certainly hope the pixel service like this is available on the Freedom.

  2. We did the photo shoot with the Pixel Dream Photographer last year on the

Magic. My teenage daughter was the subject of the photos.

We have them done around the ship. They turned out so gorgeous that I

ended up buying them all , the largest package deal was $1000. And I did

buy it. I don't regret it at all.

I was hoping to do the Pixel shoot again for my May cruise and am disappointed if they only now do the photos in a studio???

We were wanting to do the beach photos this time.

Does anyone know if the in studio Pixel shoot is on all ships or maybe just the

    Conquest?

    Thank you!

  3. Any thoughts on this?

I've read the Carnival reviews and they are mostly favorable.

I pulled up a video of the island on youtube and I wasn't too impressed.

I am wanting to book my Belize excursion this weekend and I am not

    100% sold on Starfish Island.

The 3 of us ladies would like to go to a nice beach for the day. No snorkeling wanted.

Please give me your thoughts, I will truly appreciate it.

    Thank you,

  4. brotherCraig and Guest 2000:

    Thank you for your replies.

I am mostly worried due to the fact that my husband isn't going on this trip.

    I know, I shouldn't feel more safe with a man(my husband) but I do.

Guess, I am just old school that way. I know if we were going to be robbed,

my husband would not be a deterrent.

I'm glad to hear that Parrot Tree is in the nicer, safer area of Roatan.

I wasn't sure how long of a drive it was from the pier to the resort.

For some reason , I thought it was a long drive 30-40min?

I searched for the resort on Google earth and it looked like a ways from

    The West End area.

  5. Thank you C-leg5 for your reply.

I did hire a driver thru Victor Bodden and it was only $30 per person.

    There are 3 of us.

They will take us to and from the resort. I don't really want to stop

anywhere else while in Roatan, so the private driver was a good choice.

Thank you for recommending Parrot Tree.

I'm excited to see the resort, it looks beautiful.

One more question, is there bar service to the pool area or only to the

    beach area?

  6. I was probably one of the posters who suggested Parrot Tree. I cannot comment on Mayan Princess as I haven't been and its been a while now since I went to Parrot Tree which I did a couple of times. In more recent times I have been going to Club Natale.

I know if you use the search engine on this forum both resorts have been discussed previously with various opinions. I enjoyed Parrot Tree, it is a very beautiful condominium resort with a wonderful pool complex, which is what attracted me. When I was there, there was only myself and one other person swimming in the pool. Needless to say it was very quiet! (which may or may not be a plus to you). The biggest negative was bar service was very limited at the pool. The pool area is separated from the bar, beach restaurant and lagoon area by some of the condo units, attractive enough but still a barrier. We stayed by the pool for half our time then went over to the lagoon for lunch and a walk round the lagoon and beach. Food and drinks were fine. Lagoon setting was fine but rather man-made and unnatural. I didn't swim there so can't comment. The buildings and approach by road are very attractive. If I returned some time I would like to walk further and explore the marina but it is always so hot!

I like it quiet and as crew says it is (or at least was) almost like your own private setting. If you like more activity and noise it probably isn't for you.

I have a question for you, how do you get the day passes and so you know the price and what's included?

I called to inquire and just told you get the passes when you arrive???

Also, do we just take a taxi from the pier or does Parrot tree offer transportation?

I'm trying to budget enough money for our trip. No this info would help lot.

    Thank you so much !

  7. On the suggestion of on of the posters, I have decided to go to one

of the above mentioned resorts while in Roatan.

They are both beautiful properties, each with an awesome pool and beach.

Can anyone help me decided which resort to spend our day in Roatan at?

    I'm torn.....ugh

    Help!

    Thank you all

  8. Thank y'all so much for the replies.

I contacted Infinity and they do offer passes online a week before our cruise leaves, they can be purchased directly with the resort.

But I think I will check out the other options you all suggested.

    Thank you!

  9. Is it difficult to get a taxi to and from Infinity Bay resort?

This is the only fear I have about Infinity Bay.

The other 2 resorts we are looking at offer transportation, but we really want a nice pool and Infinity is the only play with a large nice pool.

    Thanks

  10. What is the nicest beach for swimming, wading and sun bathing?

I'm so confused which beach to go. Bananarama, Beach Club San Simon or Infinity Bay?

    Can someone please help?

I'm leaning towards Infinity Bay because they have a pool but am worried about taxi to and from.

    Thank you!

  11. Do you have any suggestions for private snorkeling boats in Belize?

What attracted me to this excursion was the fact that the boat took us to the

    island first and then snorkel.

My older daughter doesn't like to snorkel , so she would be able to relax on the

beach while the rest of us were in the water.

  12. Has anyone done this excursion?

Carnival offers a boat ride taking approx. 45 min to get to a very small island

where you are placed in 3 sep groups and set off to snorkel while the guides

    are in canoes???

Just wanting to know any feedback good or bad before I book and pay for this.

    Thank you,
