happy cruising

Waterside was not crowded last night and the 10 pm show in the Galaxy was not full. We know of many guests who were not feeling well . Hopefully they will all

feel ok today now that the ship has been docked since 10 pm last night. 

Because of the bad weather earlier in the week the Avenue saloon entertainers flight to Miami was cancelled and he was supposed to meet the ship in grand cayman. Since the grand cayman stop was cancelled because of the crew medical emergency we are thinking the Avenue saloon entertainer will board the ship in Cartagena on Monday .

Kenz, when you went through the canal was there a delay with ships lining up to go through  ? There have been reports that the traffic backs up and takes longer than usual to get through the 3 sets of locks. Thanks.

Dwight, the tablet in the room has a QR code on it. When you access the QR code the app comes up on your phone. 

Thanks Keith … do you remember what is different about them fron a regular room other than wider doorways? 

Has anybody stayed in any of the aquamarine without veranda accessible suites on deck 7 on the Serenity? I can’t find any information online about the layout of these rooms (eg suite 7079 , 7081). I can see they are right by the mid ship elevators but how can I see the layout, whether they are classic or refurbished recently etc.  Also what makes them accessible? Thanks.

Keith , did they lower the lighting in umi uma also? Great that they changed out the tablecloths in OO and lowered the lighting - 

Last week that  report showed J for the Serenity on Jan 18 but today it shows E. Could change again!

I am one of Crystal’s biggest cheerleaders but this really irritates me. We loyal crystal customers who have given Crystal tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars since the restart and have multiple 2024 cruises booked are not eligible for an upgrade but someone who is new to crystal and/or not loyal gets a complimentary upgrade? I already have 4 cruises booked for 2024 for which Crystal has had my deposit money for over 6 months and I don’t have infinite money to book more. I understand trying to lure new customers but I would suggest that Crystal also offer complimentary upgrades to existing bookings right before sailing based on availability and perhaps based on number of past voyages sailed or number of days sailed. I thought Crystal  valued past passengers - this is very disappointing.

Keith, I was just on the Serenity Oct 5-13 . There is a QR code on the tablet in the room that allows you to download an app with data on the tablet to your smartphone. I have an iPhone and it worked perfectly. Can’t comment about an Android. It’s really great ! You have reflections, menus etc right on your phone anywhere on the ship!

Ibis, agree with you re lighting and noise in umi uma. We loved the food in both umi uma and in Osteria but were not thrilled with the atmosphere although the 2 restaurants are beautiful. It was way too bright in both - and especially noisy in Osteria , maybe because part of the floor is not carpeted and the material on the walls doesn’t insulate the noise. I hope crystal has a plan to dim the lights in both restaurants and see what can be done about the acoustics.
