  1. We were just on the Magic 3 weeks ago and our favorite waiters name was Kumara. He went above and beyond during our cruise. His team was great also. We celebrated an anniversary and a birthday on the cruise and he really made it a memorable celebration. He also took care of us when he was out on the Lido deck also. Just an all around great guy.

  2. I am traveling this December to the Bahamas with my family and my daughters service dog. I have emailed the Bahams on the email they have on their website asking about the fee for a service dog and I was wondering if this was the correct email address. The address I sent it to was minagriculturemarine@bahamas.gov.bs

I have not heard back from them at this point. I was also inquiring how far out from my cruise date should I send in the application and am I able to fax it over via sending it over UPS/FEDEX? Thank you for your help. This will be the first time cruising with Teddy and I am trying to ensure it is as seamless as possible for my wife not to worry about it.

  3. We do this every cruise because we book 2 cabins for us and then if there is anyone else travelling with us. I contact Carnival prior to the cruise and I give them the other rooms booking info and they attach them to the same table to ensure we are sitting at the same table.

Not difficult at all.  We have done several and booked them all ourselves online.  If at all possible you should get the same cabin for both legs.  That way you don't have to pack and unpack at the end of the first leg.  But if you can't do this your cabin steward will assist you.

Thanks for your reply. What is the process after the first cruise when you get back to port and are heading back out on the second cruise? Do you disembark the ship? As long as you have the same cabins then I take it you wont take anything off the ship if you have to disembark from the ship.

I'm curious as heck about B2B cruises.  How did you go about starting to research them?  I would assume you look at the boats and decide if the B2B dates work for you?  And so on? Would love your research ideas. Thanks!

The main reason I am looking at a B2B is because I couldn't find a cruise that fit our timeframes and was going to Key West. All of the itineraries that fit the time frame we want to cruise was not going there except a 4 day cruise. So it makes sense to try a B2B at this point.

We got on the 29th. 🙂 Probably have you to thank for them offering to put it on the balcony without having to ask. Thanks!

I was on the Liberty over Thanksgiving. When we returned we went and picked up my daughters service dog. We are avid cruisers and Cruise Carnival most of the time..We just booked a Christmas Cruise for next year. It's a 4day cruise on the Liberty to the Bahamas. We booked an 2 interior rooms but was wondering what the best type of room would be best for us as well as our service dog. My daughters dog is a Goldendoodle. He weighs in at about 65lbs at this moment. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

  7. I have sailed on Carnival predominantly as well as a couple other ships. I have sailed on the Grand Bahama cruise line 3 times and I have enjoyed each time I ha e cruised. It's a nice getaway which breaks up my year between cruises on a major line. It has it's good parts and it's bad parts but all.in all for what you pay, you get a good cruise. I normally buy a groupon for the cruise when it comes up and then book directly with the cruise line. I have never had to deal with any timeshare issues. All in all for a quick 2 day getaway, I give it a thumbs up.

  8. Thanks for the info. We have a tour scheduled in Ft. Lauderdale on the 29th of July to see what they do. My wife is excited to see the process. We have cruised with our daughter before but as she gets older we are looking for all ways to make her cruising just as fun as it is for us.

  9. Welcome, I did a 15 day Carnival Miracle to Hawaii. Carnival provides a metal pre-made potty-box filled with mulch and put the box right on our veranda. I brought along some artificial turf to cover the mulch and Horton was a happy guy. They provided a plastic bag to put the waste bags in and they change the bag everyday. Remember to bring waste bags with you.

I was very impressed by the pre-made box. The filler was a bit rough on Horton's paws which is why I always bring some rolled up artificial grass to cover whatever the cruise line might provide.

The crew were wonderful and always tried to make us comfortable. They even provided "reserved" signs for our favorite seats in the theatre. We NEVER had to struggle through folks or feet to find our seat. Our Steward always provided extra pool towels for us to cover the couch with, so Horton was always comfortable.

I would definitely recommend Carnival if you're thinking about cruising them. You will need to call their Special Needs Dept. to let them know you're bringing a Service Dog and they will provide you with their paper work to sign. 1-800-227-6482.

Please come back and tell us how your cruise went.

Thanks for the insight. We have cruised with Carnival multiple times and we have always enjoyed cruising with them. Hearing about your experience will allow us to make our decision on continuing to cruise with Carnival a little bit easier.

  10. I have been following this thread and gaining a lot of knowledge about cruising with a service dog. My daughter will be getting her service dog this November and we are making plans for our next cruise next year. I have read on other threads how great Royal Caribbean and NCL are with individuals that ha e service dogs but I have not seen much feedback for those that have cruised Carnival with their service dog. We usually cruise with Carnival but I want to ensure that our experience for my family and the service dog is a great experience. Can anyone comment on their cruising experience with Csrnival? Thank you for the information. It is greatly appreciated.
