  1. As a person that has lived in other countries as well as visited other countries at times where there were travel warnings issued I can say that these warnings are for your information so you can remain vigilant while in a foreign country. Always be aware of your surroundings no matter where you are. My wife gets mad at me because I am always looking around and assessing the surroundings to ensure I have an exit if something was to happen I still enjoy my time in port but I am always aware of my environment I am in.

  2. I'm looking for some feedback on this cruise line and the ship itself. I am in the beginning stages of planning a 50th anniversary for my in-laws as well.as my 50th birthday. I have sailed on Carnival, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean. I am an avid cruiser but am looking for something that is a little different since this is a milestone cruise for myself and my in-laws. So what I am looking for is how geared towards kids is the cruise line as well as this ship. I have seen a video of the ship and I see the water area for kids and adult kids alike. I will most likely have a 6 year old, 16 year old, 17 year old and a 13 year old cruising between myself and my brother-in-law. I want to ensure that there is enough for them to do to keep them happy so the cruise is a success. Thank you all for your input.

  3. I am in the same situation. We are looking for ideas on which cruise line and itinerary to take my in-laws on for their 50th. The kicker is that it's my 50th birthday the same year so trying to find a cruise that will offer options for both them as well as myself and my friends that may go on the cruise also. The one issue we have is that it has to be a Carribbean cruise because my in-laws want to make the cruise accessible for both my wife side and her brothers family. We live in central Florida so any port in Florida is accessible for us. Thanks.

  4. I am looking at taking a cruise out of Long Beach to the Mexican Riviera. I am looking for anyones experience with this itinerary as well as things that you would suggest to do. The itinerary is: Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerta Vallarta. Thanks for all of your comments.

  5. I have used cruise cash in the past couple of cruises. Now that we usually spend a certain amount on the ship i would want to use cruise cash for all.of my on board purchases. When I go onto Carnivals website it states that only a maximum amount is allowed to be purchased per cabin. My question is that my upcoming cruise I have 2 separate cabins booked but everyone falls under my charging privileges so will the cruise cash not be split even though it's under 2 different booking numbers? Thank you.

  6. Really enjoying the review. I am especially enjoying the snorkeling reviews. I have always wanted to get certified to dive but unfortunately I cannot due to a lung condition. However, I am able to snorkel and really enjoy it. Definitely getting great ideas on where I can go snorkel while the rest of the family has something else to occupy their time.

  7. I just started reading your review. I am actually going on this itinerary on the Breeze in March 2019. I am loving the review. I have been looking at other options of things to do while in port that is not the normal excursion. I am really interested in the friendship rocks that I have seen in your post. Where did you come up with that idea and where do you get them from? Can't wait for the rest of your review.

  8. I sailed on her this past September to Cuba. The ship.is an older ship but me and my wife had no complaints. We have been on bigger ships also and we sail based off of itinerary and not solely off of what the ship offers. When we sail with our kids we pay more attention to what the ship.has on it for them but it's never a deal breaker as long as it is the itinerary we are looking for at that time. Enjoy your cruise.

  9. I am travelling on a family cruise to Roatan in March of 2019. The group consists of a big age range. The ages range between 6 years old all the way to 77years old. We are looking for suggestions on things to do that everyone may be able to do together as well as any reputable private tours we can use while in port. Trying to stay away from the normal cruise excursion that is high priced. Thanks for all of your help.

  12. We just booked the Carnival Breeze sailing to the Western Caribbean on March 16th, 2019. Now I know it is a long way away but I had to pay for a Sweet 16 in 2018. So now I have something to look forward too. :D I can't wait since we are going to 3 ports we have not been to before. I am taking my family which ranges in age of 47, 45, 16, and 6 as well as my daughters BFF 16 and my mother and my in-laws. The ports we haven't been too yet are Costa Maya, Roatan Islands, Honduras, and Belieze. My in-laws are not avid cruisers and not into doing anything too strenuous. Any and all suggestions on what to do in these ports would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

  13. You can hire one of old cars right there on the spot outside of the port where you come out. They usually run about 40 CUC depending on duration of the tour and if you need an English speaking driver. You can also walk around Old Havana as it is right at the port. We did both while in Havana.

  14. I was in Havana on Carnival on 9/22-9/23 and we saw the same oil slick in the water while we were docked. There was no mention of it by the captain I guess since we spent the next day just out at sea. I also thought that was a part of the way the harbor looked.

  15. Just off the Paradise this past Monday from Havana. The one show we liked the most was the show I think it was called Viva la Musica. It's a Cuban themed show and was on the night that we left Cuba. My wife liked it a lot and that says a lot because she used to be in a dance organization and she also taught it for many years.
