  1. You made my wife's day with that one - she doesn't feel so alone now 😁
  2. We did the same last month for our Alaska cruise...wonder if we can use the same account for our Caribbean cruise in February?🤫
  3. Ship - Encore Deck - 10 Stateroom # - 10156 Stateroom Category – BB Starboard or Port Side - Port Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No Balcony View - Unobstructed, no issues. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal Was wind a problem? - No If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A Any specific problems with this cabin? - None Any other comments? - Mid forward location, just forward of the forward elevators. Seating area beside balcony, bed closer to bathroom. Smooth ride in moderate swells (a few green people at breakfast), minimal foot traffic in passageway, staterooms above, below, and across. Would select this one again in a heartbeat 😎
  4. Nice, we were on the waterfront waving at you😎 Will have to check my slr when we actually get home and see if we got any good ones of you😊
  5. I would expect that is the process...minus the tossing off the dock. Like the idea but hope it doesn't happen to me 😜 Much the same happens when a passenger doesn't make it to the gate at the airport - some poor schmuck has to crawl through the mountain of bags in the belly, find and remove them before the plane can fly.
  6. We are doing the same...testing Wednesday afternoon for our flights on Friday, should still be in the 72 hour window for Saturday embarkation as well. I can't imagine doing it any other way these days. Of course we will still need to test at the pier...
  7. Hmmm, good point on the privacy issues. Worst comes to worst, the long range forecast looks like sunny and low 20's (70's Fahrenheit) so at least we won't be standing out in the rain 🥶 Totally off topic, thanks for your live review on the Encore, was very informative 👍
  8. Good point...last item on the list so, may just give it a go 😉
  9. Hey all...hoping someone with experience can help me with something... Wife and I are booked on the Encore Sept 4th. We will be required to have a Covid test before boarding (no surprise) and NCL has provided a link to pre register for testing. Problem is, when you follow the link, you are expected to put in a US of A address which we don't have as we are (surprise!) Canadian 🍁. I have booked our tests for our return flight (can't take advantage of Norwegians complimentary test as we are staying in Seattle a few days post cruise) and the company I booked through just had us use the address of the hotel we are staying at. Wondering if anyone has done the same (supply a hotel address) with pre cruise testing and were there any problems, or should we just wait until we get to the pier (as NCL is suggesting) and register for testing then. Hate to end up burning 6 hours standing in lines when we could be lounging on the deck with a mojito 🥂

  11. Yeah, we do Glacier Bay instead of Endicot Arm and skip Skagway 😐...still first port of call is ISP so yeah, expecting an update from NCL any time now.
  12. Hmmm, no word yet from NCL on our Sept 4th sailing...guessing it is in the works though. Do agree, the original schedule looks to have been a tad ambitious...
  13. 12 days, Encore to Alaska...I think my wife has "test packed" 17 times this week 🤪 First cruise for us so...this may be the one to decide if we are "Cruisers" or not 😉
