Im sure I will get criticized but I hate fireworks. I think they are a waste of money. Now I don’t mind seeing a professional display but after having a terrible experience as a child with fireworks I don’t want to be around them. I’ll be glad when the 4th is over. I’ve always hated that holiday. The only saving grace is that it’s Christmas in July so I usually watch Hallmark Christmas movies. Yeah I know I’m weird but hey!

I forget what photo you are referring too, I think it was someone’s collection. The bourbon selection on most Royal Caribbean ships is pitiful. I will say that when I was on Symphony last year they had Elijah Craig, Four Roses, Angels Envy and Old Forester. I was impressed. The schooner bar also had for a up charge Macallan Enigma which was awesome. Buffalo Trace is ok but I much prefer Weller Special Reserve. You will never see that on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

This is the recipe that I use for Planter’s Punch. The original tiki drink from Don the Beachcomber from 1937. -
I would get the Remy Martin 1738 Accord. It’s got great taste, smooth and fruity and is not too expensive $50-$60 range. Aged at least 12 years. More info here. https://www.remymartin.com/en-us/collection/1738-accord-royal/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=GameDayCelebration&utm_term=USA+CS+cpc&utm_content=remy martin drinks&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnf-kBhCnARIsAFlg490KwTA4Dtt3uOqT8FyoAAt_ynTUG75pdmfdqjPZLLWu-KNDAXy45-kaAimxEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Of course if money is no object I’d get Remy Martin XO about $260 or Louie XIII for about $3,000. I’ve had the Louie on board the ship for $150 a glass. It was amazing. Cheers!

$19 That’s robbery. Woodford is good but that’s ridiculous.

I agree I don’t consider it top shelf but I’m sure Royal does.

Buffalo Trace is probably priced higher than say Jack Daniels as BT is considered top shelf. Personally I would never mix BT with cola. It’s too good of a bourbon. Try Buffalo Trace neat or on the rocks.

Im more of a cognac guy than brandy. Though the only difference is the cognac is distilled from grapes in the champagne region of France. The main thing about Brandy that you should ask is “how long has it been aged?” A VSOP is aged longer than a VS and a XO is aged longer than a VSOP. I’m not a cigar smoker but I know a lot of people that like to smoke a cigar and drink a glass of brandy or cognac. The aromas will merge in the mouth, accentuating the flavours and scents of the cigar and spirit simultaneously. Have fun and let me know how you like it.

Most mixed drinks range from $10-$14 with $14 being a specialty cocktail. Though I’ve never priced a bourbon and Coke it should be $10-$12 range.
