  1. Wow that is so cool. I hope you still play. Even though I don't do it for my main income. I do have a nice little studio upstairs where I can play and produce electronic music. Playing and creating music helps keep me sane. It's my happy place. Here is my little studio.
  2. That's what my brother said also. He said results vary to everyone. With a knee replacement I am worried about even to try and ski. Last time I went I stuck to groomed intermediate trails as well. My days skiing black diamond moguls are over sadly.
  3. I don’t know if you can get these where you are but I tried these and they are the best chips I’ve ever eaten. So good. My doctor brother says that steroid shots can actually accelerate arthritis the more you get. That’s why he prefers Synvisc and other hyaluronic acid injections.
  4. The actual injection product name was Durolane. It's just like synvisc just another brand. Synvisc is a hyaluronic acid and works as a gel in the joint. On the topic of weight loss. My wife had a doctors appointment where they were talking about weight loss. Apparently there is a new diabetes drug called wegovy and it works well with weight loss. The doctor gave a sample to one of his workers and she lost 75 pounds on it. Right now you can't hardly get it because the demand is so high that the manufacturer can't keep up. You might keep an eye out for it. Cheers keep up the great work. GPS
  5. My only guess is that he might have been in between jobs or was looking for a job, any job that could bring in some cash. I am sure when the producers found out he was a captain they thought "Oh this could create some drama."
  6. Thank you for your comments and yes I will keep you updated if I go ahead with some of the other treatments. So far the Simvisc is starting to kick in and my pain has dissipated. My brother also said weight loss is crucial to having less pain as the joints don't have to carry as much weight. I've already lost 40 pounds but I really would like to lose another 50. We will see. Congratulations on your husband's weight loss. I am sure he feels a lot better. I know I did after my initial 40. Keep up the great work. Cheers! Greg
  7. I recorded BD. Sounds like Camille got fired. I’ll watch on Friday for our weekly Cruisin’ with Cocktails. Enjoy!
  8. Yes it funny he doesn’t brag about himself and likes to stay low key. The only reason why I knew he must be popular is that he would tell me about all the traveling he was doing to give talks. I also found out that a very famous NFL player flew to Montana to have him treat him. Of course when I asked he would not tell me who it was.
  9. I had the chance to go to Eastman School of Music out of high school. I unfortunately chose the Conservatory of Music in Kansas City because I wanted to be close to home and my drum teacher was on faculty there. After 3 years of feeling like I wasn’t learning enough. I transferred to Berklee. When I first went I hated it as I missed home. Once I used to living in Boston , I loved it. I learned more there in one year than 3 years at my he Conservatory. Biggest mistake was returning home. I should have stayed and played professionally in Boston It’s great to be able to get feedback from him and if nothing else have a reason to visit. I it does the trick too. Tired of being in pain. Me 3!
  10. Interesting doctors appointment this morning. My Brother who is a Sport/Orthopedic Doctor in Helena Montana and is not a fan of knee replacements suggested I see a friend of his locally for my left knee which has been killing me the last two months. He like my brother do alternative methods such as stem cell injections and plasma injections. The problem is they are not covered by insurance which make me mad as the have proven positive results. The Stem Cell injection would cost me about $5,000 the plasma about $1,200. In the meantime he gave me a simvisc or Hyaloronic acid injection which should give me relief for 6 months to a year. What’s so interesting and I knew this about my brother is that the doctor used ultrasound to guide the needle in the right location. He said my brother Dr. Phillip Steele pioneered this. The doc said that my brother is internationally known and respected. My brother has said that if I wanted to go the route of the stem cell he would do it for free and just charge me materials. Obviously it would cost me a plane ticket but I have to seriously consider doing this. Hopefully I’ll get some relief with this injection and will be in good shape by the Bella Cruise this March. Here is a selfie Dr Khadavi sent to my brother with me and his residents that are studying under him.
  11. I feel your pain as a drummer/Percussionist since I was 10 years old, I too have a great deal of hearing loss. When I was at Berklee College of Music I would practice 6-8 hours a day in a tiny practice room without any hearing protection. This was in the late 1970’s when nobody wore hearing protection. In my studio now when I produce music I have to monitor using near field monitors at a medium volume and then fine tune a mix with headphones.
  12. Yeah I get it. When I told Linda how all my speakers were going to cost she about had a heart attack. I told her “some guys buy bass boats, some golf club memberships, won’t it be nice to always know where I am?” I love B&K and also Bowers Wilkerson they are incredible!
  13. Love this. Here is my speaker setup downstairs in the theater. Paradigm Studio References that weigh over 90 pounds each and almost 5 feet high. Powered by a bi amped Anthem 300 watt amp. The sub has a 15" in it and has a 200 watt amp. It's 7.1 system and it can really rattle the place but I like lower clean volume levels. The AV receiver is a Yamaha 7.1 with 120 watts per channel. I need to go down there and listen to more music. I have not done that in a while.
  14. I save all my manuals too. I'll have to take some pics of everything I got speaker and Hi-Fi wise. It's a lot.
