  1. Thinking of you guys. Glad everything went well. The pain does come unfortunately. You nailed it. Great information. I am amazed how many people do not realize they can get their local channels for free. Thanks Bob. I'm looking forward to getting stronger with my new knee and doing more.
  2. Sounds like a great birthday. Tell him Sea Dog wishes him a very happy birthday! And happy birthday to Lisa as well. May is good month for birthdays. My brother is a week before mine (9th) and then mine on the 16th.
  3. Well I reached the end of my physical therapy. Today was my last day. I thanked all my therapists by bringing in a box of a dozen gourmet cookies from a bakery called Crumbl's. If you have one in your city or get the opportunity to eat one of the chocolate chip cookies they are to die for. I had my last surgeon's visit yesterday and got a clean bill of health and they are pleased at where I am at. I will go back in a year for a check up and then talk about getting the other knee done. I wish everything was over but I will still need to exercise my knee and muscles to strengthen it. I will have some swelling and pain for more months to come but at least I'm making progress. Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and wished me well. Your support means everything to me. I think I'll celebrate with a cupcake.
  4. I agree total waste of space for a gimmick. Give me the Champagne Bar or. a Tiki Bar My physical therapy told me of a patient who said that it was 5 years after surgery they got all their feeling back. I just hope it comes back at some point. Thats what my surgeon a said. He said some but couldnโ€™t guarantee all.
  5. so sorry to hear this. I hope you are feeling better. This sounds like last season. You guys must get it later than we do.
  6. I would like to see a bar on board that specializes on bourbon and whisky like the MS Koningsdam Cruise Ship with more than 120 bottles of whiskey from around the world โ€“ including more than 60 Scotch whiskies along with a ton of Bourbon whiskeys. Vintages is never that busy and whiskey and bourbon is the new craze.
  7. She's a saint. I don't know how she does it and doesn't complain. I can take care of myself pretty much now except for her help on putting my cold therapy leg wrap on. The puppies are wearing her out. They have way too much energy and it's a challenge getting them not to chew on everything in the house. They are getting better at potty training. Charlie is good now at waiting at the back door and whining to be let out to do his business. Thank you for asking. Too bad Bravo does not have a partnership with the Food Network, That would be very interesting like a iron chef show. As good as Rachel and Marco I also think Chef Ben and Chef Adam were pretty good too. I really like Ben. I would like to eat at Marco's Restaurant out in California. Me too. But most people I've talked to say it will take at least 6-8 months if not a year to fully recover.
  8. i wish I was fully recovered. It is my final week of therapy after 12 weeks. I will continue at home. I still have some pain at time that treat with Tylenol. I still use the cold therapy as I still have some swelling. I still have a portion of my knee that is still numb and I or maybe not get full feeling back. Have a doctors appointment tomorrow with the surgeon. I imagine he will say everything is progressing nicely. Itโ€™s just going to take time to really feel technically recovered. Give us a idea of who is on it if you can. Iโ€™m interested in whoโ€™s the chief stew and chef is. I donโ€™t think it will air here for another month.
  9. Wow! The ultimate feather duster. Just beautiful. I take it they gave him pre surgery exercises to strengthen the muscles around the knee. One thing that Linda did for me that helped is after surgery she organized all my meds (I was on 10 of them) in bowls of AM and PM. It helped me keep track of when to take them. Also I think we talked about the cold therapy machine. That will be your friend. Also for the toilet I would get an extender to help getting on and off. I will thinking of you guys and wishing all the best on the 5th. That would scare me to death. I hate that piercing sound. I've triggered them a couple of times from food cooking on the stove and the exhaust fan not getting rid of the smoke fast enough. Our dogs go nuts when they go off. @BonTexasNY Happiest of Birthdays wished to you. Cheers to you!
