They give you a wrist band that shows you have paid for the return trip. You can hop on and off as often as you like...the taxis round continuously.
That's exactly the kind of information I was looking for. Thank you so much!

quick and cheap water taxi
I assume they take cash only? Is the charge collected each way? How often do they leave?

Why would you need to book an excursion to Great Bay?
We now know but when we booked it I was extremely nervous about missing the ship and that's why I book all of our excursions through the ship. As we become more experienced going back to the islands and know our way around we will feel more comfortable doing it on our own. Bottom line it's what makes me feel more comfortable in doing.

Bulliet Rye in a Manhattan is yummy.
Yes I agree! I'm really bummed as my wife texted me that she heard that a liquor store in the area had just gotten in the Weller 12. I called and they just sold the two bottles they got. Urrrggggg!

Enjoy! 🙂
We will thank you. I know we could of done it a lot cheaper by booking it ourselves. Live and learn. I know we will be going back and plan on booking the Holland House just based on the reviews I've read here.

What is the best way to order - neat, rocks, with water, straight from bottle?
I started on the rocks and then progressed to neat. You can always ask for it neat with some ice cubes on the side. Some order it neat and have with them a little eye dropper bottle with distilled water and put a few drops in to open it up. The great thing about having the DDP is that if you try something and don't like it just order something different.

I will be curious on our trip to St. Martaan as we are doing the ship's excursion to Great Bay which I have been told is two business's down from HH. I'm not sure exactly how close their's is to the Holland House , got any ideas to which business it is? We were told it would include chair, umbrella for rent and food and drink available. I wish we would of booked HH just off the reviews I've read.

Really enjoying this thread as I’m learning so much about cruising, now I’m learning all about scotch and Irish whiskey which I would like to learn more.

We got new Samsonite hard shell luggage for our next cruise. Even though is says hard shell it's really not that hard. You can push in fairly easy so I will be packing anything fragile or my toiletries in my carry on or back pack. I'll leave my big suitcase just for clothes and shoes. John's picture of the cart shows if your lucky to have your suitcase on top you are good. I hate to image how much weight is on the bottom suitcases.

Dinner tonight is at a Wonderland
If you happen to get a drink at the bar in Wonderland, spy behind the bar to see if they have any high end bourbon's or whiskey. Curious minds want to know? Have a wonderful dinner and experience!

Notes tasting area on Koningsdam
Now this is what I would like to see on a RCI ship. Think of it as an excursion on a sea day!

Anybody like the Redbreast 15 yr Single Pot Still Whiskey? I've had it and it's really good.

Wow impressive. I need to come over. I especially like your collection of Balvenie. I'm a big fan.

I still tip them...but the shuttle driver deserves the bigger tip IMHO.
Good advise. Thank you and yes I will tip the shuttle driver because they do most of the work.

You drop bags outside the terminal. The shuttle will likely stop right in front of the porters.
Thanks Bob!

Just because I've never been to Terminal 1 at Port Canaveral, help me understand the process. We will coming from our hotel by shuttle. I will tip that driver since he will load our bags and unload our bags from the shuttle. My question is do we take a bags to nearby porter for him to take and then tip again? Do we take our bags inside the terminal? Just trying to visualize the process and figure out who and how many tips I tip?

Couple of questions sir. What do you think is better at Chops, bone in ribeye or the filet? At the rising tide bar did you notice if they had Louis XIII Cognac and or any high end bourbons or whiskeys? Thanks and I am enjoying your review a lot!!

I think you will be fine. It's going to take a hard right.

These were the (limited) choices in the casino bar on Allure a couple of weeks ago. Alok the bartender can be seen as well. 🙂
Thanks for the pic. Keep them coming folks. I can't tell what's to the left of the Makers Mark?

I think this thread could be even more valuable as members post pictures or observations of what bars on what ships have the top shelf bourbons and whiskeys that are not on the drink menu. I will be on Harmony October 13th so I will be looking.

Curious. What RCI ports are best for buying bourbon/whiskey - and what stores?
I would be interested in knowing as well.

Looks like you have all the major food groups there! Did you get mild or spicy?
