I'll try and pay attention to the other lines on Sunday

John you posted some good pictures on your last Harmony review of Terminal 1.  I would be extremely interested  if you have time to photo and document each step from dropping off your bags to actually getting on board. Being the anal person that I am, seeing the visual of what I will be going through helps my mind get a grasp of everything.

Only change was the check in prior to security.

Could you elaborate on what that checkin was? I hear about the tablets and how easy it is for checkin, so is there a line for security first or after the checkin?  Sorry I get confused on the exact procedure and order of things.

  3. I'm sure depending on when your sailing date it will go down some. We are on Harmony in October and over the year it started out at $59 dropped to $52 then went down to $49 (which we bought) then a few months  ago went to $46 for a couple of days (we cancelled and re booked) and now it has alternated between $49-$52. I will speculate that some of the slow movement is due to the $18 internet snafu and they need to make up some of their loss. Keep tracking it and as you know you can always book, cancel and re book.

I watched the first half of Cats and gracefully left at intermission.  I gave it a chance but it just wasn't for me.

I remember you saying that in one of your reviews. Not to be boring but I can take or leave all the shows, Give me the sea, some good food and good spirits and set me on the balcony, I'm good. Everything else is nice but just being on a cruise makes me extremely happy.

I saw the video and it appeared the officer came out the back of the bridge waving the hand at the ship next to them. From where the pier runners were I doubt they could even see it.

I agree that is my understanding too.

  6. Because of Twngster's great review with ton's of pictures we have decided to book a future cruise on Empress. It will be nice to go from Harmony to a smaller ship. I think we will enjoy it a lot. I'm a old guy who doesn't need the fancy slides and other thrills. Give me the sea, good food and good drinks and I am a happy camper.

Rising Tide has Louis 13 for $149, its $139 with drink pkg. Vintages has a very limited cocktail selection. I like being on 8, easy to get around.

Thank you so much John for finding this out. Even though it's expensive I may have to go for it as it is on my bucket list and a lot cheaper than buying a whole bottle. Vintages will be the closest bar to our cabin on 8 so I can see us spending time there getting a cocktail and then taking it back to room and sitting on the balcony. Looking forward to hearing your adventures today!

Coke machines on Promenade for sure. Sorrento. Not sure where else. I'll try and check tomorrow.  Will also ask about cans

Thanks John for looking into this. From my research it sounds like most bartenders will open the can and pour it in a glass which would not help us as we like to drink a can of Diet Coke in the morning instead of coffee (I know we are weird, it has to do with liking something cold instead of hot)so we might have to take a early morning stroll down to the Promenade every money with our freestyle cups.

I hope you are having a Birthday cocktail as we speak! Cheers!!  Love the review.
